Thoroughly enjoyed this cafe - great food, buzzy and busy atmosphere, lovely and efficient staff, dog-friendly. Would highly recommend.
Went to 76 Flood Street - a grey warehouse-style building - and found no sign, no doors open, no sign of cafe. Could not find it! So went to a nearby cafe further along Flood Street.
Unfortunately the food wasn’t great, gluten free bread was soggy and avocado smash was one thin spread on one slice! Not worth the price paid.
Lovely cafe with friendly service and great food!
Great funky cafe, fun food, reasonably priced and easy to park outside. Highly recommended.
The space is hands-down hipster-chic in a very good way. I love the rustic and workshop look. The service was nice, but not super attentive (we did not get our own bottle of water and had to wait for our tiny glasses to be filled every time). The food and drinks were also nice, but for the price I felt the portions were inadequate - everything felt miniature (coffee size, plates with small portions) but charged at usual prices (if not a touch more).
Coffee was cold and pancakes lacked toppings. Ok but not great unfortunately.
The Carpenter was good and great coffee but I ordered the ricotta hotcakes and was told there were none left but then after I saw the table next to us order them and have them which was disappointing.
Even the walk to the cafe off that main street is enjoyable. The staff are open and enthusiastic, but respectful of space. So trendy inside. Open kitchen, real vibe. Food is thoughtfully done.
Great food and coffee. Excellent service. Love this place!
The Carpenter Cafe is a great secret. It's at the rear of the building so you have to know it's there to find it. Really friendly staff, good coffee and food. Probably need slightly larger plates as hard to cut my toast and scrambled eggs without it almost falling off the plate. Will definitely go there again.
Cute little cafe with delicious and varied menu options as well as friendly staff.
