The aim of our food is to showcase the amazing produce to be had within a 200 km radius of Melbourne. Taking in the Otway’s, Gippsland, and the Peninsula. Whole carcass usage looks at both our primary cuts such as fillet, sirloin, rump and T-bone as well a secondary cuts and offal. A Mornington Peninsula based produce supplier allows us to change quickly with the seasons to present to you a balanced menu. Dry aging is a technique we use at The Breslin which allows the meat to break down with natural enzymes and removes water content from the cut. This technique presents as a very tender piece of meat with good gamey flavours.

I had my birthday here with a group of friends. The staff were great and we were never made to wait for their attention. If you are a meat lover you will be in heaven, no complaints from any of my friends. The ribs and steaks are mouth watering and they have Furphy's on tap. Great night had by all!!!

Came here with a group of mates and the food and service was spot on, so I brought a date here and the food and service was spot on again and she was impressed at my choice of restaraunt. So thanks!

Chicken burger was ok, chicken was a bit pink in the middle. And the chipotle mayo was quite overpowering.

The food is excellent and the staff members are very helpful and friednly. The service is oustanding. We didn't have to wait for long for the food to come out.

The entrees were too small for a share menu. Very expensive for what we got. The steak was cooked well. Service not very friendly.

Extremely disappointed in the service and attitude of staff. The website for this restaurant shows a lunch menu that is available Mon-Sun except public holidays. Mother’s day is not a public holiday but the lunch menu was not available to us.
We made a booking 2 weeks in advance and when we got there we were shoved into a booth that sat 5 people even though we booked for 6 people. When we asked to sit somewhere else because we couldn’t actually all fit in the booth the waiter vaguely waived his hand at another table we could move to that was backed up against another group. There were at least 15 empty tables inside the restaurant during the time we were there. I will never return. I would rather spend my money at a restaurant that actually wants to serve its customers.

Looking around at everyone's entrees which all looked delicious it was hard to decide what to pick on the menu but as I was going for a fairly substantial main we didn't get any (sad face). I ordered the Beef Wellington which was delicious, it's so hard to maintain a crispy pastry all the way around but they did, full of flavor, the red wine jus was just right. The beef may have been an eensy bit over but still pink in the centre and it was so tender it didn't matter. My husband had the beef and stout pie which he absolutely loved and we ordered a side of onion rings which were the best yet I've had anywhere in Melbourne. Delicious. Would definitely go back. Our only issue was finding it - Open Table had it as 3 Southbank Blvd, the web said 2 Southbank Blvd. We wandered around for a good 10 minutes clueless as to where it was situated and when we rang the restaurant all we were told was "it's across the river" from someone with not very good English skills. Peeps: it's along all the other restaurants situated together along the river - a quick walk from the Crown Casino.

It was an enjoyable experience. You need to love meat. In saying that i enjoyed my meal and i would return. I had the beetroot risotto which was lovely. I highly recommend the Mac and Cheese croquettes. AH-Mazing! And i'm not a fan of Blue cheese, but the sauce is not overpowering. I would have happily had a bunch of those for dinner.

Ambiance was lovely. Service was great. I recommend it.

Nice place to eat. Not noisy, and at 7pm was still quite a lot of seating available on a Sat night. Got put next to the water bottles, so a bit annoying having the waiters/waitresses always standing next to you. Service VERY QUICK (we both chose the Ribs with no starters). Unfortunately, they weren't worth the money (same sort of price as ribs from Meat and Wine Co), and could be compared to the ribs you get with the Steak and Ribs options at other Restaurants (the smaller sets)
Unfortunately won't be dining there again.

Met up with friends from interstate and had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious , the service unobtrusive and our outdoor table allowed us to enjoy good conversation as well as the views of the river.
