I don't write many reviews, but want to warn others. Booked a table for Sunday lunch last weekend. A very dear friend was in London from UN work in Africa. We had not met all year. I requested a well appointed table for conversation. We both arrived on time to find that the restaurant was effectively closed. They were serving sandwiches in the open coffee area in the foyer. It was very cold and raining. We were expecting a hearty Sunday lunch. I received no attention or apology from the young staff who milled around uncomfortably. I really expect A LOT more from Hilton. We had only two hours together and had to brave the elements to get a hot meal before he caught the Heathrow Express back home. A serious blight on our day.

1 Lombard Brasserie was consistent as ever, good service, coffee and food. Recommended for business breakfasts and lunches.

I had a doctors appointment at St Mary's so meet a friend here for lunch before hand. Big mistake. The food was good, as was the service, but there was 0 atmostphere- which I guess was to be expected. This is very much a place for business meetings. Probably for those people catching a train. It was also very expensive for what we got- which, again, I tribute to the business setting/ atmosphere.

Brasserie Hilton Paddington was a good location for dining with two foodie friends travelling through Heathrow, despite our reticence to eat in hotels. Disappointed that the carvery does not work on Sundays but an extremely tempting menu, too difficult to choose so we tasted each other's dishes. All three starters, mains and puddings were wonderful. Wine list comprehensive and the Cotes du Rhone was very good. Service friendly but courteous. Not cheap but worth it. But long walk to the ladies!

Went to The Brasserie for lunch on Sunday for a friend to celebrate his 60th before he flew back to the US. They were very accommodating, and friendly, and the food was delicious, though somehow they just couldn't get it together. Coffee forgotten, 2 orders of sea bream arrived rather than the 2 orders of salmon waitress had actually double-checked on! The food WAS worth the wait, but we wondered, as the only diners there, how it could be so challenging.

I vizier at the Brasserie in the Paddington Hilton for breakfast. Atmosphere akin to a motorway services, staff deliberately inattentive. door adequate for nourishment purposes. Breathtakingly expensive.

We booked "The Alcove" at The Brasserie Restaurant in The Hilton London Paddington for a company dinner. The booking was made very last minute (the morning of), but the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was from a set menu which was somewhat limited, and was nothing to write home about but served its purpose. The service, however, was top notch - helpful, friendly, and consistent. The privacy of the alcove was perfect, and the easy access to Paddington station was great!

We went to Woburn Place to eat on 29.22.08. Both the starters were good which raised an average meal to slightly above average. By London standards, especially in financially hard times, the three course set menu was good value for money. The venue, a lovely Victorian conservatory would be better suited to spring and summer eating rather than on a cold November night. The service was good, and we would go back for a meal but not a special occasion.

Brasserie Restaurant in the Hilton London Paddington Hotel was a great spot to meet family at Paddington who have just arrived from Heathrow. It was disappointing that the sample dish metioned on the Top table site of:
Hot chicken livers and crispy bacon dressed with a raspberry vinaigrette
was not available but the scallops and steak dsihes were cooked well and just right for weary travellers tired of airline food!
