Great tasting food in a relaxed atmosphere, overlooking the water!
My favourite restaurant on the peninsula. A not to be missed experience with a breathtaking view of the water.
I ordered a Latte. It was served in a cup. The waitress said that they had run out of glasses.
Main had two poached eggs : One was cooked perfectly, the other was overcooked.
Service was very slow.
Excellent food & lots of choices, great wine selection and the service was outstanding. We can’t wait to go again!
The service was great and nothing was to much effort. Unfortunately this time and the restaurant the food was not up to the normal standard. Had the pulled brisket burger which was not pulled but just sliced and a bit chewy. For the price it definitely was over priced. Menu needs a couple more choices.
We when't to The Box for our anniversary and from start to the end it was exceptional. Service was prompted, happy and friendly. We enjoyed every meal absolutely delicious I had the Wagyu and it was cooked to perfection.
Even the seating was very comfortable.
The experience was just a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Loved the food and the service
Our favourite Restaurant on the Central Coast. Never ceases to deliver great service and food and the views are to die for!
Went there for Sunday brunch. Ordered bloody mary's - but they ran out of tomato juice (on a Sunday brunch?) Waited about 45 mins for the food to arrive - kids were starving and we nearly missed our ferry given the delays. No apologies or explanations for the service. Great little place - but really needs to step up their service game if they want repeat customers.
Always fantastic service and great food. Hidden gem on the Central Coast
Always good food and coffee at The Box. We shared the Frederico’s taco’s and the Waffles for breakfast and we were not disappointed! The staff is fabulous and the view is beautiful. (People and dog watching is an added bonus)
Absolutely amazing waitress I think her name was Ruby. So amazing her manner and looked after us sooooooo well
Great food & service. Was a long wait for food but they were super busy, and the lovely view kept us entertained.
Great experience. Lovely venue, good food, the degustation feat was well worth it.
I go to the Box on a regular basis. For a public holiday Easter Monday the service was exceptional.
Lovely location and charging for this and the excellent service. The menu was just OK -sort of slightly tarted-up pub food. Some share plates were nice. Main meal presentation could improve. Just OK.
Cocktails/wine list great so next time will probably go there for cocktails and share plates only.
Perfect spot to enjoy Easter Sunday, we ate the seafood platter and it was just divine. Service was impeccable as was the ambience. Can’t recommend highly enough
It was 1st time there and food, service etc. made my birthday lunch a great one and views amazing
Great spot, food (breakfast) and service. Will definitely come back again.
Love this cafe, right on the water, great if you have a dog too.
Food is always good, service lovely as well!
Amazing view ! Great food, very good service. Recommend it.
Breathtaking sunsets and water views. Excellent food and service. Good value. All around an enjoyable experience.
What a gem. Really nice location over looking the water. Good range of food options from small to bigger meals. Huge selection of local and international wines available by the glass. Of the glasses we sampled they were all excellent. Staff were attentive and looked after us. We could not fault the service. Very reasonably priced food and drink. We were expecting to pay more. We will certainly be returning with friends soon.
One of my favourite restaurants on the central coast.
Staff are friendly and courteous, food is amazing, atmosphere is the best.
Lovely location with friendly staff, but the food is overpriced for what you get. Food was tasty but portions are on the small side and although my fish was hot my veggies were cold.
Fantastic place, we ordered the wagyu steak medium but it came well done and for the price of the meal it really could have been better.
Everything else was amazing. Thanks for a great dinner.
Great location. Great food. Excellent service. Recommend the Raspberry Sour cocktail
Fabulous all round!!
Great view. Great spot. Excellent service. Shame about the food. My wife’s chicken had blood pouring from it, undercooked. Chef agreed. If you are a vegetarian forget this place they are not interested. We’ve been here a few times but not going back again.
Beautiful family lunch.
Sunshine on the water, great food and wine and lovely service. Will be back !
We had ordered oysters and we felt they could of been fresher. Otherwise, overall the food was good. Service was great and a lovely view of the ocean
Wonderful place for afternoon happy hour drinks with lovely view despite the rain. Outstanding service from waitstaff, our antipasto platter was sumptuous and delicious, fish and chips with very generous serve of flathead and chips was so crispy!
A great finish to our afternoon was a delicious cocktail. Highly recommend a Sunday afternoon at the Box.
Food and service were great and a fine wine selection
Service was friendly. There were four of us on the table and we ordered a dish with 3 portions and the waiter suggested adding another portion so we all get one. We thought this was very responsive. The view of the view of the bay is wonderful.
Lovely restaurant on the water. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Service was fast to come out and we were left to enjoy our breakfast.
Food divine service outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant will come back again.
The Box on the Water was a welcome retreat from the showery and breezy weather when we visited. The modern ambience was matched by the creative menu and the service was beyond all expectations. Our waitress (Janelle) looked after us very well, even giving us samples of sauces we were unfamiliar with to taste test before we ordered. The zuccine flowers were a bit on the small side, but very tasty, as were the prawn tostadas on very crunchy taco triangles. We shared a plate of beer battered flathead pieces. The batter was as light as you could want and the fish could not have been fresher. Janelle suggested very strongly that the dark chocolate mousse creme broulee was the go. I normally steer away from creme broulees as they are too custardy for my palette. This, however, was simply devine and took us back to the best chocolate mousse experiences of the 80's, when they ruled the roost on most dessert menus. The wine list could have included a few more Hunter Valley selections, but my fussy partner who normally only drinks chardonnay from a certain Hunter winery, discovered a new 'go to' chardonnay, so she was happy. This was a birthday celebratory lunch for her and I would definitely return to BOX on the Water for more of the same!
Good food , good service and a great view, very convenient when meeting friends from the Northern Beaches who come over on the ferry
Great service and Excellent Food - thoroughly recommend!
The staff were friendly and attentive. Plenty of choices on the menu. Adequate variety of very good wines. My husband chose the Verdhelo which was excellent. I do not drink alcohol.
Dessert menu plenty of variety. My husband declines a dessert. Our friend was happy with her choice. I can't remember which. I chose Raspberry sorbet which was delightful.
