In all honesty the prices did not reflect the quality of the meats. Specifically, the brisket was incredibly dry. I understand it's tough to get a good brisket but it was stone cold within minutes of it arriving at our table which contributed to it becoming more tough. The best brisket we've had has been Vic's meat market in Sydney and nothing has come up to par. All round the food and service was great but I wouldn't be coming back based on the brisket and the prices. Sorry guys!

We had a great time last night.. 5 of us came in for dinner and drinks.
I loved the vegan nachos and smoky porter, the teens had burgers, 11 year old non meat eater had steak and chips and loved it! (Game changer in our family!) My husband had 3 starters and we all left full and very happy.
The food came out in good time and the service was friendly and super easy going.
We’ll be back!
Oh and the playlist was amazing!!

We enjoyed out time however the food was not as expected. I ordered a brisket (the ribs had finished) and it was 80% fat. It was not valuable for the price at all.
I made the comment to the wait but he didn’t care at all.

Wow! The food took an hour and half to arrive. Starters and main arrived together and the fries we asked for to come with our main arrive quite literally one hour prior to our mains. Is there only one cook and half a grill to cook everyone’s food?

Really tasty BBQ spot, brisket was super tender, the friend chicken and jalapeno poppers were delicious, star of the meal was the loaded tater tots.

Chicken wings while juicy, had a weird seasoning or sauce that tasted almost like cherry coke. Not a fault of the restaurant at all, just not to our liking

Cocktails are also incredible!

Definitely make sure you book in advance though

Great venue, good vibe , music, excellent staff , sadly let down by very ordinary food
Beef was dry, corn grainy and few more chips and slaw would’ve been good at they price
I wanted to love it, but disappointed
Chicken wings were really good, just needed some ranch dressing

Food was extremely overpriced considering how average it was. Cocktails were tasty however and there was a nice vibe inside the venue. Staff were super friendly but the venue was full so it made service pretty slow (understaffed) - took too long for them to bring us the bill so we had to go up and ask for it. Would recommend for drinks and a snack, not so much for a meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bootlegger and look forward to returning. We would have enjoyed it even more with a bit more variety in the salad / vegetable arena to break up the rich food (which was absolutely delicious mind you if that's what you fancy). Love the cocktails and great wine list - the cocktails can add up though so be mindful of that! ;-)

The staff was brilliant, perfect and amazing!! We enjoyed our time to the fullest. Coming from North America, I wouldn’t call this exactly Canadian BBQ. It was missing that extra ‘flair’ that we know.

The service of this bar was the worst I have ever come across (and I dine out two - three times a week)

The two waiters on shift had to look after both the lower and top section of the venue and would often not see them for 10 minutes at a time.

After an hour of waiting my food was finally brought out, (however with parts missing that were stated on the menu) I then asked the waitress if I could have some chilli sauce where she stated “yes I’ll go down stairs and grab one” however when she returned 10 minutes later without the hot sauce as she forgot and I had already finished my meal anyway.

In the two hours of being in the bar I had one drink.. once I initially ordered the menus were taken away and the waitress only returned once to give me my meal.

In the two hours I was there having drink service would have not only kept me satisfied as a customer but also create a much greater revenue for the restaurant.

From the time we walked into the front door we were greeted with a friendly smile. The waitress showed us to our table and explain the menu to us. As we had 2 young children they accommodated to their immediate needs. Drinks were vibrant- food was amazing and service was outstanding 👌 If ever up at the Blue Mountains this is a must bee place to go. Great work Team and keep us the awesome service!

Great cocktails! We were so lucky, 12:30 booking on a Sunday and place was virtually empty, so we left close to 3pm. Food was lovely. My friend found the lean on chairs very uncomfortable.
Great service and accommodated 4 sharing a meat platter for 2, by suggesting additional dishes. Ladies toilets could have been cleaner.

Busy restaurant means great service and food. Never disappoints. Pulled pork, Apple slaw was yummy and cheeseburger spring rolls were great with the dill dipping sauce!
A mention to Mazi (?) who was lovely and efficient waiting tables and conversing with others!

Dinner was a disaster. They ran out of beef brisket, beef cheeks, cheese Mac balls, Budweiser beer and that’s just the items we tried to order. Four pulled pork buns were ordered, two came out with buns that were burnt to charcoal black. Asked for replacements. Got two dry untoasted buns. I guess they expected me to slap the (now cold) pork from one bun to the other. No bbq sauce. No Mayo. Nothing. Dry, cold pork and soggy coleslaw. Wow.

We apologise that you did not enjoy your experience here at Bootlegger. We always hope that each and everyone of our guests has enjoyable and memorable times here. All of our meats are smoked fresh daily and our menu does state “available until sold out”. Although we try our hardest to ensure this does not happen, we also aim to to limit wastage. Unfortunately from time to time however we do run out, we base our portions on past trends (numbers) of people. With the current situation of the Covid pandemic it is sometimes unforeseeable to have an exceptionally busy night midweek! So yes, this did mean we weren't able to provide your requested meals. In regards to your second beer, we believe in supporting local and micro brewery's, so our beers are in a constant rotation, this gives people the chance to try something new and support small business at the same time. I would like to point out that you requested new buns, these were sent fresh to you. There is a difference between ‘dry’ and fresh. Tell us, we could have toasted them for you. We can’t work without communication. Management was unavailable at the time, not just simply “too busy”. In supervision of the smoker, for the meat we were out of, which you wanted! Trying to prepare for again an unforeseeably busy time. Management offered you the opportunity to email to discuss your concerns. Which we do appreciate so we can effectively address and improve. All our staff are working very hard in this trying time with the main focus being our customers. So we do hate to hear that the experience was not of our high standard we pride ourselves by. Feedback positive or negative is valued, thank you for being in touch.

Very good music and drinks. Very kind people but still we felt cheated because we werent told beforehand that our dish wouldnt come with an ingredient. We were offered something else to replace but still this should have been before ordering.
