Perfectly barbecued steak and ribs falling of the bone. Unique cocktails with outstanding presentation, try the ‘Smoke and Mirrors’. We had great service.

Great cocktails! We were so lucky, 12:30 booking on a Sunday and place was virtually empty, so we left close to 3pm. Food was lovely. My friend found the lean on chairs very uncomfortable.
Great service and accommodated 4 sharing a meat platter for 2, by suggesting additional dishes. Ladies toilets could have been cleaner.

Busy restaurant means great service and food. Never disappoints. Pulled pork, Apple slaw was yummy and cheeseburger spring rolls were great with the dill dipping sauce!
A mention to Mazi (?) who was lovely and efficient waiting tables and conversing with others!

Great Bar for Cocktails, Indie Beers and Burgers or BBQ. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The decor and ambience was spot on.

Dinner was a disaster. They ran out of beef brisket, beef cheeks, cheese Mac balls, Budweiser beer and that’s just the items we tried to order. Four pulled pork buns were ordered, two came out with buns that were burnt to charcoal black. Asked for replacements. Got two dry untoasted buns. I guess they expected me to slap the (now cold) pork from one bun to the other. No bbq sauce. No Mayo. Nothing. Dry, cold pork and soggy coleslaw. Wow.

We apologise that you did not enjoy your experience here at Bootlegger. We always hope that each and everyone of our guests has enjoyable and memorable times here. All of our meats are smoked fresh daily and our menu does state “available until sold out”. Although we try our hardest to ensure this does not happen, we also aim to to limit wastage. Unfortunately from time to time however we do run out, we base our portions on past trends (numbers) of people. With the current situation of the Covid pandemic it is sometimes unforeseeable to have an exceptionally busy night midweek! So yes, this did mean we weren't able to provide your requested meals. In regards to your second beer, we believe in supporting local and micro brewery's, so our beers are in a constant rotation, this gives people the chance to try something new and support small business at the same time. I would like to point out that you requested new buns, these were sent fresh to you. There is a difference between ‘dry’ and fresh. Tell us, we could have toasted them for you. We can’t work without communication. Management was unavailable at the time, not just simply “too busy”. In supervision of the smoker, for the meat we were out of, which you wanted! Trying to prepare for again an unforeseeably busy time. Management offered you the opportunity to email to discuss your concerns. Which we do appreciate so we can effectively address and improve. All our staff are working very hard in this trying time with the main focus being our customers. So we do hate to hear that the experience was not of our high standard we pride ourselves by. Feedback positive or negative is valued, thank you for being in touch.

Very good music and drinks. Very kind people but still we felt cheated because we werent told beforehand that our dish wouldnt come with an ingredient. We were offered something else to replace but still this should have been before ordering.

We just wanted a quick bite to eat. The food took over an hour, when it came out it was ok... nothing earth shattering to warrant the wait. Would not recommend.

We are very disappointed with this restaurant. We waited 1 HOUR for our food to arrive.We consider the food to be overpriced, very average in presentation & flavour . We walked away unhappy. We are locals & ate here as a New Year treat. We will not return.
Overpriced, bland, uninteresting slaw, potato salad. Corn was tasty but frozen!!! Chicken entree OK for value & flavour. The eggplant I ordered was, again, bland. The beef cheeks that my partner ordered are smoked which he doesn't like ( he was unaware of this when he ordered) The side of pumpkin was the only highlight. We paid $84 for food only. Not impressed at all.

Nice food but small portions. Very good friendly staff and excellent ambience. Could do with spreading out more with COVID hanging around but still compliant although this place will get busy due to its quality.

Food great, service great.

Only downside was the main came out before starters, so we had both starters and mains at the same time. It felt as though we were being rushed out when this happened.

In saying that, I could not fault anything else and was great American style BBQ.

The Vegan Nachos I couldn't eat because they were too spicy also could of had vegan cheese with it. Thats my only complaint otherwise it was fabulous !

Cocktails, delicious. Meat, smoky flavoured without having been drowned in sauce. Service great. Suggestions for the restaurant, I would have liked the high seating to be high chairs with a back, rather than a stool. I would have also appreciated wet naps to be served with my ribs. Neither of these 2 things would deter me from returning, I really enjoyed my evening!

Great restaurant, friendly and welcoming staff, and generous servings. The pork ribs are delicious and so tender and they have an awesome cocktail menu. Bootlegger has such a cool vibe and I will definitely be back.

The place is beautiful and the people working there seem lovely. However the food was overall disappointing. The shared platter was sad to say the least the “links” were like baby breakfast sausages? the chicken wings like leathery salt.. the brisket was okay but this experience fell far short of the hype around this place. I think they need to try their own food before serving ... sorry guys but we left here so unhappy. We expected great things?

Looking for a place to eat on way home from work - was open during afternoon which was great as we wanted to eat at 4.30 and lots of other venues were shut.
Nice vibe and menu - loved the cocktails !!
Food was nice and appreciated the home made options but my steak was over cooked and the food is quite pricey. However it was still tasty and we enjoyed it. Service was friendly but some servers mire switched on than others - we had 2 misplaced orders for drinks and dessert.
Would go back - fun vibe and good tunes !

We ordered the full rack pork Ribs ($60) that comes with a small serve of potato salad and slaw drenched in mayo. It took 45 min or so before our meal arrived. The meal was ok but it did not meet our expectations.
The staff were friendly.

If you like meat this is the place for you....would have liked a few more veg options to accompany the generous proportions of mains ( Miso Pumpkin was excellent !) The staff were very friendly and gave great service - although check your bill - ours came out with a number of items that were not ours, so luckily we checked it and didn't just pay it! Missed the mark with ambience for mine....but a good night with friends nevertheless.

Overall really good food, but the food was somewhat slow in arriving. The staff did a very good job of accommodating us, even with a late booking into our time slot. Ribs were just a wee bit better than mine 😁😁😁😁😁😁

Three of us had a shared meat plate and the pulled pork, the fourth had his own steak. All the meals were generous in size, extremely tasty and cooked perfectly. As it was our first visit, we asked the wait staff for advise with sizings and mix of meals, they were super friendly and knowledgeable, same with the drinks options. We had the upstairs area to ourselves, which was great, but we never felt forgotten, the ambience was spot on, and the downstairs area seemed just as good. Only downside, the key lime pie was sold out, wasn't hunger, just going for the taste sensation. Great experience, will definitely return.

An hour wait for our meals was a little long but kids meals came out quickly so they were happy. My cutlet was a bit chewy but the brisket and ribs went down a treat. Would definitely have the ribs next time.
