I attended Melb Cup and the food was brilliant but on Saturday I was disappointed with menu.

Menu had a gap between light and heavy food .. there were a few dishes that lacked salt .. including the crab pasta ..

Could not fault the food, was amazing. Very attentive staff too. Certainly one of our stand outs and favorites now.

Not amazing! Unfortunately, we had a film crew descend around our table halfway through our dining. It really took away from the experience, as it was loud, obtrusive and just downright obnoxious. We were made to feel like we were in the way and no effort was made by staff to alleviate the situation. Perhaps informing us that filming would be taking place before we were seated in the back corner, would have been a more suitable approach for a restaurant that is aiming for sophistication and service.

Food was overpriced. Entree saltimbucca prawns were rubbery. Menu is limited and the main I ordered was 'sold out' so I ordered a steak which was unremarkable & came with a few wilted greens. Sides, including potato which is usually included in the price of the main dish at most other venues, were expensive ($14 each). The affagato I ordered for dessert was awful. Instead of ice-cream I received a blob of soft serve in the bottom of a dish which turned to slop after the coffee & liquor were added. Wine list overpriced & pretentious. Very noisy & tables are so wide it's difficult to hear the person sitting opposite. The service was the only positive.

Wonderful flavours and lovely welcoming service. I highly recommend the Bon if you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion.

My family and I had wonderful meal. The service was good and the staff were friendly.

Fantastic good and venue . Went for vegan nite and thought it was delicious will be back. Have also eaten al a carte and it was just as impressive

A very enjoyable experience. We enjoyed the Vegan Feast even though we are not vegetarians.

We had dinner with friends and families there and everyone loved their dishes. The ocean trout was cooked to superb and charred pumpkin beyond words.

Delicious food that's reasonably priced for the quality. We were only able to secure a slot later in the evening, but the bar catered for an earlier arrival.

The food was great and service was exceptional. My friend is heavily pregnant and our waiter new the ingredients in every dish on the menu and she was able to confidently recommend (or recommend against) dishes - which was incredibly helpful.
The only thing is the food did take quite a long time to come out, which made us feel rushed (only because I had to leave, not because the staff rushed is in any way.)
Anyway, everything was delicious and the drinks were great too. Thanks!

Food was great, service mediocre. Missed the mark by our waiter on several occasions to make the night above average.

We enjoyed a birthday lunch with great food and excellent service from the delightful Mollie. Even the young chef came to answer a question about the fantastic Yorkshires!

Amazing experience, every dish delicious and inventive. Impressive wine selections. Only minor complaint is I think the music playlist could be better suited to such a classy establishment. Was kind of too much night club vibe for me...

Firstly the service and suggesting for wine was excellent and the entrees and mains were delicious. However in anticipation for dessert we ordered the banoffee pie and it was quite a let down. Not only for the size and four tiny slices of banana. But the biggest issue was the flavours just didn’t mix well at all. What I believe was a lemon foam on top was way too over powering for the dish.

The best prawn cocktail ever. Could pass on the crab spaghetti because of the consistency of the crab. Pavlova was exceptional. Great atmosphere

I have dined at the Bon a few times now and initially loved the trio of
Mushroom gnocchi. Unfortunately the dish is not what it used to be. My friends had a vegetable stack and one of them only ate half as she was not impressed with it. I feel the Bon food has deteriorated over the last few months.

Food was great, service could have been better staff not very attentive great value for money

Had lunch at The Bon on Saturday....staff, food, venue were all good. The Bon needs to change it's menu....it has been the same menu for at least a year. Not sure we would go back as there is nothing new to try.
