The Black Cat Café is owned and run by PALS, a nonprofit animal rescue organization. Although every dime we make goes directly to the 600 homeless animals we save every year, we also know that our café succeeds because it is an awesome place to eat. Styled around the cafes of the South of France, our menu is eclectic and ever changing with many vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options in addition to our regular menu. We have won Best of the Main Line 3 times. Chef Judy Clemens puts out a breakfast, lunch and brunch that cannot be beat and all profits go to saving lives. And don’t miss our gift shop, featuring home goods and more featuring pets.

Service was very slow, no kids menu, for what we got worked out more expensive than other similar places.

Small chocolate milk was expensive for what was a very small cup.
We had omelette’s that we’re fine but nothing special.

People who came in after us got there food before or at same time.

It is a cute local establishment that made us feel like we were home eating at our kitchen table. Enjoyed the food and found the coffee to be fantastic. I had the cream chipped beef with the homemade biscuits. I highly recommend you try the biscuits. Everyone was very friendly and we were not rushed. We are planning on a return with friends.

My initial vist to the Black Cat Cafe was very nice. Limited but good choices for breakfast. Prices a little steep, but given the cause, I'm willing to pay. My companion and I both ordered the Breakfast Burrito. A white flour tortilla stock full of eggs, spinach, Mexican cheese and black beans, with refried beans on top. Great ingredients, but rather bland tasting. I'd recommend a pepper sauce (Sriracha?) to add some flavor and zip.

Thank you for your review! Our staff is supposed to ask if you would like hot sauce in your burrito, I promise to talk to our staff to make sure we provide this option to our guest at all times. Your feed back is important to us and we would like to thank you for your patronage and perspective. By the way I like your idea on the sriracha sauce. Thanks Chef Judy

This is a delightful little place for a light, casual meal. All 3 of us totally enjoyed what we ordered.
The staff is so accommodating & passionate about their mission of rescuing cats.
I am already looking forward to a repeat visit.

Food was great. Loved the small converted home and the chance to see three kittens available for adoption. Proceeds go to charity. Well worth the visit!

Quaint cafe that the proceeds support a cat rescue. The decor is adorable- part French country, part cat lady in great taste. The sandwiches are great, especially the gourmet grilled cheese. And save room for dessert

Fun place for lunch/breakfast. We like to help support organizations that help cats. This is a fun way to donate.
This is a cute restaurant with very good food and great service. Every table is different and is set up so cute.
I love the gift shop. Great gifts at very low prices.
The only thing I would change is to have more cats around that we could pet.

Good food and great service. Interesting concept as personnel are volunteers and proceeds go to a no-kill animal shelter. Just be aware that there are cats, in cages for adoption, so if you’re allergic, be aware.

Good food, even for my friend who is a vegan, and love the fact that all profits go to PAWS cat rescue.

Thank you so much for the review! Just so you know its PALS rescue not paws. But we love Paws rescue too. Please let the Chef know when you are here next, so I can come out to say hi. We like to get to know all our guest.
