View Private Dining DetailsA group of us the $22 lunch meal. The food was good and was delivered quickly (which was great) and the staff were attentive.
The food was very good as usual; we were very happy with everything to do with the occasion (a friend's get together. We never consider going elsewhere. We absolutely love the cider.
Enjoyed lunch with a friend there. Was wonderful to have a separate Gluten Free menu, I have Coeliac Disease, therefore it’s good to have the choice of meals that are suitable. I had no issues with my meal. The staff were very friendly. It did get noisy over the lunch period, but that’s to be expected, especially leading up to Christmas.
Would definitely go back.
Good pub food, great value. Vibe is really nice— high ceilings and colourful. We celebrated a birthday here and I would definitely come back.
Great food, tasty cocktails and beautiful vintage decor. Service is pleasant, could be a little more attentive but overall good.
Service has much improved since our last visit and staff were fantastic on Saturday night. Food was tasty and drink service was good.
Have been to this restaurant twice already and I had to both had a wonderful experience! The ambience, the food, the service, all fabulous! Booking is also easy.
Great for large groups
Hostess was rude. Because I was a single, I was given a table behind a pole. Asked her to check for another table, said she would but never came back. Wait staff also not very attentive.
Every waiter was untrained.
The lamb chops were raw not pink.
One meal was served with the incorrect salad.
Disappointing service and meal quality. It's not much fun when the waiter repeatedly pretends they can't understand your Melbourne accent because you are not white, whilst they can understand everyone else's Melbourne accent just fine, as long as they are white. It's humiliating having to point to the menu to communicate because the waiter refuses to associate a Melbourne accent with a non-white person, whilst everyone else can speak their order and be understood. Notwithstanding the casual racism, the food was pretty ordinary. Disappointingly there was not a vegetable in sight. At $55 per head, it's not much to ask to add a tablecloth and a couple of greens. Would not dine here again.
It was a special occasion; we were there for my friend's 66th Birthday. There weren't many people there so it was very quiet. The food was good; service was prompt. We both love the House cider and the dessert (Eton Mess).
The value, food and service was great. The only criticism was the veggies. Tomatoes and capsicum not really what we expected but after complaining we were not charged so all good,
Have been here a few times now and really like the friendly and efficient staff. My favourite is the zucchini and macadamia burger with melted brie.. always a tasty treat. There is something for everyone on the menu!
The lunch service is quick & professional and the food consistently good. Perfect for a group in their lunch break.
Beautiful food. Polite helpful staff.
Some drinks took a long time to come.
One glass of wine never arrived.
We book for 9.30 pm at our arrival we were informed that kitchen was closed! To avoid
Have been to this venue many times and it is always great. Varied menu of well prepared interesting dishes, informally served quickly and efficiently. Really interesting building and decor.
The place is great for a quick bite as well as to bring clients. The lunch special is good value and variety of dishes to choose from. It has a great atmosphere, not too loud but not too quiet. Its close to neigbouring offices which means you don't have to go too far.
Fav city restaurant, continues to provide great food at a great price!
great venue for lunch that won't break the bank :)
Lovely atmosphere, great friendly staff and the food was wonderful.
Great lunchtime specials with food being served well presented and super tasty. Servers were helpful. Paying was a little frustrating, but a great experience.
A great place to catch up with friends and some great food options on the menu. Especially love the lunch deal.
The Bank on Collins is a great place to go for a good cheapish lunch with friends and colleagues. Will return.
Small parmiganas, wine OK, noisy place though, feels like a food court nowadays
Good food ,reasonably priced - interesting vibrant decor - service good
The food was very good as usual, my wife and friends loved it too. It was a bit noisy but that was okay; a big group of people were celebrating somebodies 50th birthday. The staff know me by name; I have been there many times and intend to attend many more!
Went there for lunch for the first time, ordered the classic Parma and was not impressed. I have had a lot tastier parma than that. Not sure if I will be back in a hurry. But service was good and there seems to be many business people lunching there.
Always, and I do me always, sends us off with a smile on our faces
Food was all great but noisy and cold. Service patchy - took iver 1 hour for food to come out and difficult to get wait staff for drinks etc. maybe underataffed as the next night was much quicker and friendlier.
It was quite busy so a bit loud but as always the food was delicious, the drinks well priced and meant an enjoyable night for our group. I brought some friends from interstate as I feel the Bank on Collins has a very Melbourne vibe and they loved it.
Service was exceptional! Catered for specific dietary requirements very well. Great vegan menu!
Delicious vegan options and friendly, attentive staff. Cocktails pack a punch!
Service was impeccable. Venue/ambience was nice but VERY loud. The TV by the bar is a HUGE spoiler for a venue with these prices though. On our night, a group of loud young girls were yelling at the Bachelor screen in TV & patrons were very unimpressed however staff did not ask them to keep the yelling down. My meat eating friends enjoyed their meals. It was great to have vegan options with an entire, albeit smallish, vegan menu but the vegan food was not so tasty. I ordered the stuffed mushroom & it was tiny & bland & drowned by overfried chips. Cauliflower bites were good but the sauce on the side was overloaded with smoked paprika. I left all but the mushroom. Prices for portions are CBD prices but the quality of vegan options for the price is poor compared to the omnivore experience. I’m a vegan cook with a small vegan food business so I am particular about quality when offering a vegan menu.
Found this place via an online search for somewhere to eat that offered gf options for dinner. Had dinner with my husband and a friend and we were all really impressed with the food and very reasonable prices. Best gf options I’ve seen at a restaurant. Non gf options also impressed the others. Will definitely return.
Service and food were excellent! Lovely staff and great space.
I visit from out of town & always try to fit in a night at The Bank. Great for kids / families, good food, happy hour a treat & staff are always very friendly & helpful. Nothing phony about this place. Really enjoyable night out!
Good quality food for reasonable value.
Quiet night like due to AFL final long weekend. Would definitely recommend and return :-)
First time there.
Service and the waiter was the stand out. (thanked him when leaving and gave him a tip, which I rarely do)
Found it very noisy considering the size. (hard to talk without shouting)
Food was enjoyable but nothing special. Part of the reason for choosing the venue was the seperate GF menu which was appreciated.
Specials weren't offered when there and only knew about them from the website.
We were a group of 5 and agreed we would return.
