The Atlantic has become a nationally recognized leader in not only fine dining but also external catering and event hosting. Private rooms are available for corporate events, weddings or other large group functions with options from sophisticated dining rooms to open and airy waterside terrace areas.
The food was fine but it was no better than an average suburban restaurant. We were disappointed that it didn't "blow us away" as our expectations were much higher. While the food was ordinary, and was not value for money, the service was excellent as was the wine list.
Even though the restaurant was extremely quiet due to low crowds during the COVID-19 panic, our waitress barely gave us any attention whatsoever.
The restaurant was fully aware this was a very special birthday celebration for me, they gave us a lovely table by the water but apart from taking our order and bringing our food, we did not see our waitress.
My water glass was empty and even after i asked her to fill it, she still did not.
Her complete apathy was totally unacceptable.
The quality of food was very good.
We dined with our 2 teenage boys. My husband and I had the seafood platter for 2. It was fresh, but unfortunately no where near worth the exorbitant price charged of $310 ($155 pp). Very disappointed. It included a crab, a small amount of lobster, oysters, mussels and clams. There was no other fish of any kind. We have had many seafood platters in our time of dining out and disappointed with this one. I recommend dining here bar the seafood platter .
Wow what an experience. Our table was privileged to experience many exceptional food options that exceed expectations.
The seating by the water just enhanced our lunchtime outing.
We were celebrating a sad occasion and our time spent with The Atlantic helped us all walk away grinning from ear to ear
Staff were beyond helpful! The food was incredible.
the overall experience was excellent.
The staff were friendly and informative, but not to clingy.
Thyen wine list was extensive and diverse.
The food was just fabulous.
Great seafood, service, ambience and waterfront setting.
Great service, delightful food. Add Beluga Caviar to an oyster for $18, just say yes. Barramundi excellent, all sides delicious. Great sommelier choice.
Yes and No. we’ve been going to this restaurant a number of years, and wile the food is excellent, each time the portions get smaller. The service was very inattentive, although our initial waitress was fantastic as she moved us to a quieter table away from a very loud one. Once we lost her, the service was sparse and lacking. Very hard to get attention and too long to wait for drinks. For the amount of money we spend here and the top pricing, and it is supposed to be one of the casino’s top Restaurants? It was pretty bad. The only saving grace was the manager Guru who apologized profusely and gave us a bag of chocolate. Very disappointed, as we really use to enjoy this restaurant and have brought many friends and family here. Won’t be going back for a long time.
Felt this restaurant was underwhelming. Food was good but not great. Service was attentive but not interactive or personable. Being greeted and immediately being told we had to leave by a certain time even though we had booked some time in advance made us feel unwelcome.
Overall I felt very let done by the evening and the experience and will not be returning.
We thought The Atlantic was a bit
overpriced but than again, it is next to the casino. Our hotel recommended The Atlantic because we wanted seafood. Not sure if we would recommend this restaurant unless we were in the casino.
Food was good but I don’t think we would recommend as a must go to restaurant.
Wonderful experience dining at the Atlantic. Food was exceptional with a special mention to the Moreton Bay Bug Spaghetti. Staff were lovely and the night finished perfectly with some cocktails down inThe Den...
the flounder we ordered was horrid, cooked on one side and swimming in a pool of oil, fish was also leaking blood.
Exceedingly great service from our waitress.
To be honest, it was one of the worst meals I've had. I've heard good things about the Atlantic and decided to dine there for Valentine's Day. To say the least, I was embarrassed, the scollops had no flavour, the prawns were tiny and over cooked, the steak was well over the medium rare I asked for, the best part was the fries and side salad. For $150 per head, I expected alot more, not even the drinks were included. Definitely wouldn't dine there again, well and truly disappointed.
Food was good but poor customer service.
Disappointed that ran out of crayfish for 6:30pm dinner on Saturday night. Really!
Entree’s were served to half the guest with a 10 min wait for the second half. Poor service, not expected from a top end restaurant
Very average meal, wine list limited for wines by the glass and bottles of wine over 300% mark up is just not justifiable.
Four of us and all disappointed. One didn’t eat her main meal at all. We complained about the lack of service, had to go and collect our wine for top up twice. Then my husband and I both fell quite ill later that night. Can only assume it was the food, we ordered the same entree and ruined our weekend at the tennis. Certainly not fine dining, more average everything.
great fresh fish grilled over wood. reasonable wine list at different price points
The hostess and overall service was incredibly positive and lovely! Would come back just for that! The waitstaff looked a little busy at times so there were some delays to order, but their attitudes made up for it. Would recommend - quality seafood and not as stifling as a lot of the touristy restaurants around southbank
Very expensive for the level of service!
The food itself is great if you can get past the arrogance of the head staff members.
The waiter and waitress we had were great but the disconnect between the management and the team below them is very evident.
We keep coming back so Atlantic must be doing something right. Another good night
Felt food over priced. 3 small scallops for $33 and 2 split prawns for $38.
$57 for eye fillet steak, no accompaniment s.
Food okay but no value for money. Nothing special about venue.
I'm not generally into up market restaurants as I feel uncomfortable in them (my issues....). However, we were made to feel right at home here. Celebrated our anniversary and glad we did it at 'The Atlantic'. Cannot fault the food nor the service.
Service was shocking. Slow and the wait staff had this unfounded arrogance about them.
Advertised silver service(with prices to match), no dress code, lots of young children, no tablecloths, no table settings, tables chipped. Husband had to wear hat due to sunlight, and had to manoeuvre table away from window. Had to ask staff to close blinds partially. No intimate dining (quiet spots), tables very close together. Very disappointed, considering it was a Birthday gift and we travelled from Adelaide. Lots of money for fish and Chips (over $300)!
I have been to Atlantic many times but this time I found the seafood platter not the best. The prawns were not the fresher. Was a bit disappointed.
Amazing food and great drinks menu. Pricey, but worth every cent!
For a 4 star fine dining restaurant in Crown it’s very disappointing that some staff are not as well trained as others and let the standard of service down. To make guests wait or forget to do what they ask is very poor service. Staff that seat you with other guests children ruins the ambience. My third visit was very poor standard and won’t be going again especially when it costs so much, you expect high standard. The food is also very low standard for the cost. Very disappointing.
Seating was below average if booking as couple not an Ideal place to dine
Went there in Christmas Eve, I ordered a $65 Scotch Fillet which was oily, with too much of fat and very very thin (to the extent, you won’t call it a steak) and on top of that, it was burned!!!! Probably should have returned the steak on the spot, but with so many mistakes, I doubt how much better other meals could be. Also, my mouth was filled with bitter, waxy charcoal taste. Couldn’t wash it away with wine and water. Honestly, it is the worst steak I ever had in my life.
Food service was very quick and great food.
However drinks took a long time, waiter forgot our water and we had to ask again and the same with the beer and wine order.
When I booked I said it was my partners bday they called on Friday to ask his name as they were going to organise something a bit special for him, however that never happened
Marron was disappointing and other meals were ok. despite informing staff of swearing patrons It made things awkward and unenjoyable
JUST PERFECT. my sister and I who love good food could not fault anything. The food was outstanding- Moreton Bay bug spaghetti was the must have dish. Staff gave just the right amount of support, kept our water topped up and wine too. We will certainly recommend The Waterfront for a special place to celebrate.
The food is always good at Atlantic but I do think the service could be improved.
Service was just very poor, had to ask repeatedly for sparkling water, wines took up to 20 minutes to be delivered. Not offered coffee at end of meal. Service was just terrible given it was a $900 meal for 4 people. Place was not really busy. Food was good but perhaps only ok given the price. Wine list was very good value.
Good food, good vibe, little pricey but you get what you pay for!
Incredibly fresh, beautiful seafood.
Extensive wine options.
A wonderful dining experience for any seafood lovers.
