From the outset, we were very impressed with the Admiral Rodney, it was comfortable and very clean. Our room was clearly the smaller of the 'King' rooms, but adequate. However, the duvet was too thick for the time of year, and the pillows lacked sufficient fill. Notwithstanding, the staff were very helpful and efficient. The food choice and quality was excellent. We very much enjoyed out stay.
Fab food and service. Thank you once again. Would definitely recommend to our friends and family
The Admiral Rodney delivered everything it promised and more. The food and service were excellent throughout, particularly the service at breakfast. Proper, well cooked tasty food perfectly presented.
We had a very enjoyable weekend at the Admiral Rodney. The food was delicious and the lady manager was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless and very comfortable. If I was to stay again, I would request a room at the front as while our room was excellent we could hear the generator running at night which was a bit annoying. Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Delicious food, excellent quality and great service. 5 star.
slight delay in taking order but it was reasonably busy and the meal was very good
Excellent vegan and vegetarian options, good quality food, well presented.
Beer was great, food was fantastic.
The battered hake and chips was superb, the fish was lightly poached in the battter, which (according to Hester) is how it should be done ..............superb!
This is the second time we have been to The Admiral Rodney since July and each tome the food and service has been excellent. Would highly recommend.
Great food. Especially good for vegetarian / fish eaters
We were made very welcome . The atmosphere was relaxed but friendly. We would recommend others to eat there.
The food was absolutely beautiful and very well presented, the service was second to none
Top quality food as always, Sunday menu was very good, service was also great. New bar staff being trained so drinks order was slightly wrong but corrected.
Great service with pleasant staff. The food was lovely food.
Family visited for Sunday lunch. Food, service & surroundings were all brilliant, but always is when we come to eat here. We had a lovely afternoon
Stayed here last night and ate in the restaurant. The food was the best food we have eaten in ages. Service was great too and the hotel itself is beautiful. Would love to come back. Thank you for a great stay.
Excellent food and service. Imaginative menu and beautifully presented.
Beautiful food, lovely attentive staff, very clean, never lets us down, lovely atmosphere. So nice to have such a lovely place on our doorstep
Lovely place, excellent food, and great wine. Whatever you order make sure that it comes with the chips as they were frankly amazing, but greatly enjoyed everything.
The only slight thing was that we were asked what we wanted to drink after having been given menus, but we weren't given a list of what drinks they had. If the wine list could be brought out with the menus as standard I feel that that would help.
Lovely food, large portions
I have gluten and lactose intolerance and was very disappointed at the lack of choice of meals. No gluten free menu and had a steak which was nice but the chips that accompanied it were dry frozen chunky chips. My husband had venison pie and said it was extremely nice. Staff were very good.
Unfortunately there are a lot of other pubs in the area that offer superior food and menus for allergy sufferers
Lovely stay at The Admiral, lovely views as well. Quite a bit rural, which makes the surroundings peaceful.
Lovely staff. Happy to move us to a quieter table away from the door. Very tasty food and large portions
We had a delicious meal in an enjoyable environment.
Please invest more effort in training your staff. They are delightful young people but good service follows good training.
Excellent food, service very slow, had to ask for menus, 1st drinks order took 20 minutes
Beautiful day but quite hot so good to sit inside. We reserved a table and sat in a window bay with a view of the front garden. Nice relaxed service and lovely quality food. The Cajun chicken was perfectly cooked and lovely and moist. The sticky toffee pudding was nice and light and tasty.
Beautiful food. Lovely friendly staff. Nice area to dine with your dog.
Everything Perfect as ever, best place to eat, relax and enjoy good company !
All in a stunning location.
Easy to book even though the pub was busy for a Friday evening. The food was very nice - a varied menu to suit most people, but the vegan menu is available if requested. Cheerful and helpful staff with good service. Enjoyed our evening.
Evening meal at the Admiral Rodney was very good. Three of the party ordered the duck confit starter which they particularly enjoyed. The mains were good including a rump steak that was cooked as required and very tasty. The vegetarian pie was also very good and well presented. The wines are on the dearer side but the house wine was very palatable. The staff were very attentive and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend and visit again.
The food was well cooked, except for the peas which were watery (and why were they served in separate container?). The presentation of the cutlery and quality of the napkins was downmarket, but the prices were upmarket. The ambience would have been improved if the heating was on. Disappointing for our first restaurant meal post lockdown.
Fabulous as always. Staff lovely. Food excellent. We go most weeks & always good. Great pint of 1985 too.
Pizza was not good, frozen and overdone. Not homemade.
Greasy caesar salad with the gammon.
Had to chase staff for bill, and empties not cleared so bottles rolling around in the wind.
We were greatly disappointed considering the high standard at The Baiting house and this is advertised as being the same collection of pubs.
Great service but roast beef dinner only supermarket cafeteria quality. Uninspiring veg. Deep fried roast potatoes. Disappointing as we have eaten here on numerous occasions and have recommended to friends in the past.
Lovely food, great service. Good space for outside dining
Brilliant venue and excellent staff, considering the present restrictions.
We had a really nice lunch here. They have a very good system that is Covid safe and the tables in the front garden under the cherry tree were well spaced.
Food was very good and the beef was served to perfection!
Prices were also very reasonable and luckily the weather was great!
Limited choice on menu. Outdoor area not particularly relaxing. Staff were polite and helpful. Lunch was overall ok.
First time here, really beautiful setting in rural Worcestershire.
Sat round the back in the sunshine and enjoyed gorgeous homemade chips and tandoori chicken ciabatta!
We will be absolutely returning.
All credit to owners for opening al fresco in difficult times. Great atmosphere and wholesome food. Great to have a pub pint after all this time.
