Amazing first time experience at Texas de Brazil in Oxnard. Excellent service. Our hostess, Mariah, was very attentive and all her recommendations were on point. The meat servers were always available. Food was amazing! Wifey loved her Valentine's Day dinner. *The ONLY thing that went wrong that day was that our reservations via OpenTable was not in their system. However, I showed them my reservation confirmation, they apologized and we were seated within 5 minutes on a very busy Valentine's Day.*

I took my daughter on a father daughter date and heard this place was good. It’s always weird to go to a place you haven’t been too before because you don’t know what’s good. Right off the bat Joshua our waiter was amazing. He explained everything to us and was very pleasant. I have to say that he was a big reason why we enjoyed it so much. Thank you Joshua, I will be back with the whole family so will check if you’re working. Food was amazing!

Loved the look the feel the people.
The salad bar and warm food was great. The meat on the other hand was ok not that good for a meat dinning experience. It was either over cooked and dry or gamey and rubbery. They are still new and would wait a few months and give them another shot at it. The only negative thing about our waiter was that he never remembered to bring us what we asked for because he was to busy talking to a table of guys. The manager was very good took better care of us then our waiter. Will wait 6 months and try again.

We were celebrating a bachelor party with just a few of us. The waiter, Mario, was outstanding. He explained how thing worked and made excellent suggestions. The group was impressed and very satisfied with the restaurant and staff. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone wanting to try this style of food. Don't neglect the salad bar because it is far above your "normal" salad bar. Also the dessert menu is great and if you are full from dinner they make a drink that helps settle your stomach to prepare for dessert. We all had dessert after this espresso drink.

Food and service was wonderful. Top notch. It was very loud though and busy. We sat in a middle table right behind the front desk. Pricey but definitely worth the experience. Something we were glad we did but definitely not in the budget again for the near future. Lol

I've already told a bunch of people about the quality of service and food, and what a wonderful place the restaurant was. All the food was exceptional, but I especially loved the leg of lamb.
We are planning another visit at the end of the month.

TdB in Oxnard is a very welcome addition to Ventura County. My first venture was on a weekday, so experience will very on a busy weekend. First rate, best meat anywhere! Compared to others in the chain, less meat being offered as it wasn't crowded. But the break between stuffing worked out well. Get a reservation. Treat yourself!

Food was very good however the service was very poor. We had to ask multiple times for drinks and the server did not come back with water the whole dinner service. People had to ask a minimum of three times just to get soda and iced tea.

We had reservations at 5pm. When we arrived it seemed they weren’t prepared. If you open at 5pm & you have reservations available at that time, you should be prepared for patrons as soon as you open the doors. We weren’t seated for about 10 minutes, although we were the second people to walk through the door & the restaurant was empty. We ordered cocktails as soon as we were seated & it took another 10-15 minutes to get our drinks. When we later ordered another round of drinks, it took over 20 minutes. We actually had to walk up to the bar to see what the hold up was (our waitress was missing for a long time). When we got to the bar, we saw our cocktails just sitting at the bar, for who knows how long??!?? After we brought it to another waitresses attention, she stated she had to check that they were ours & that she’d tell our waitress. This was our 3rd visit, but we were very disappointed with the service. Although our waitress was sweet & the food delicious, it was the slowest service ever. From beginning to end. This restaurant is somewhat expensive & you’d expect the experience to be top notch every time. We raved about this restaurant to our friends, and were quite embarrassed that the service was so slow when we brought them here Friday night. Not a good look.

Delicious! We’ve been to a few Brazilian restaurants like this and this is by far the best! The meat was juicy. They had a good variety for the salad bar area and it was quality food. The service was great. The noise level also wasn’t too loud. A lot of restaurants like this are so loud you can hold a conversation with other people at your table but we didn’t have that issue. I would definitely recommend this place

First, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in years. The food is amaze-balls.

Second, they know it and their prices reflect it.

Worth it but not the kind of restaurant you eat at more than once or twice per year.

A mixed experience at best. The lobster bisque was lobster stock and cream containing not even a tiny morsel of lobster. We liked the potato salad but who wants to fill up on that for $30.00? The smoked salmon was nice but diners are basically eating lone slices without a suitable accompaniment. The crab roll sushi really had no crab and two empty ceramic soy vessels were left next to it. The promise to bring the soy right out left me waiting by the salad bar for so long I eventually gave up. The charcuterie was unappealing and salad dressings very limited. The soggy scalloped potatoes and the overcooked, bland fish were the primary hot offerings with the salad bar. The salad bar consisted of lots of items that were ignored by customers but presented the illusion of a vast selection. The salad bar was $29.99 and although you get up and fetch your food, the payment of the tab consisted of the "waitress" bringing a tablet with software that gave you options of 15%, 18% or 20%. Yes, you could also go through the extra steps of selecting a custom tip while having the server stand over you scrutinizing the tip selected. Happily, we opted to skip the meats ($47.99) that were brought out infrequently and in very limited choices to those customers who paid that stiff price for them.
Honestly, you can do so much better for these prices.

Overall experience was great for New Year’s Eve!! But got seated and there was no waiter or waitress in sight ... had to grab a manager’s attention! Enjoyed the way the meat was served and the salad bar was awesome! Had a little trouble with our bill (they tried to charge US for the bottle of wine WE brought into the restaurant)
