Terroni - LA
Our menu is filled with regional Italian dishes that have been prepared the same way for generations. So out of respect for Italian gastronomy—and our grandparents—we don’t modify our dishes. Enjoy!

The service was good, and the restaurant was really pretty. The bathroom upstairs was kind of inconvenient and there was a weird black and white movie playing that was a bit distracting from our group dinner. The pizzas were nice, a little overcooked, but the pasta were just okay. Really loved desserts!
Great service. Great food.
We always enjoy the consistency of food at terroni. Each family member has their favorite. The lemon pasta and the eggplant ivoltini are a few of our favorites
Amazing lunch! Excellent service and great drinks!!!
Get the spaghetti Al lemon the best ever!! The vibe is great and all the employees were very kind to us .
Fantastic experience! Polipo (octopus) special was perfectly prepared. The Capunti al Ragu d'Agnello delicious and highly recommended. Looking forward to returning...
Very good food, pleasant service. I am amused that negative reviews of this place focus on what they tell you up front: no substitutions on dishes and they don't slice their pizzas. I pity the morons who disparage this place after knowing what they were getting into in advance. Yes, I'd go back. I wish the corkage fee was lower (i.e., perhaps $15 instead of $25) but otherwise, no problem.
Italian is never my first choice. but this is a great date spot (I was on a date myself) and the food and service were top-notch.
Terrific restaurant, with wonderful service and fantastic food! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for fairly priced, really good Italian food!
For a last minute idea for me and the wifes anniversary dinner. Terroni sure was a great one. Easy spot to find due to it being on the corner. Valet made it even easier to just go right in. We got to choose a nice booth. Pretty cool decor all around the place. Very spacious place. Drinks were great as expected. Very tastey appetizers. Aswell as the entrees. Even the dessert was amazing. Great service by all! Especially Allen we appreciate the hospitality! We will totally be back for more.
Our server was fantastic. She was super sweet and very attentive. The food was good though I would have liked my pasta to have a touch more seasoning. The beet salad was refreshing and delicious.
The food was very disappointing- beautiful building, mediocre food. Sad.
I was disappointed. Pricey and the food was mediocre at best. The service staff was not attentive and the place lacked quality and service that should have been commensurate with a pricey downtown place. The seating was uncomfortable and dated, tables were wobbly, and not a place I would recommend to friends.
Excellent mushroom appetizer, pizza and pasta.
As regulars at Terroni we are used to the food being great.......as well as the service. This day there were no familiar faces-which did in fact interrupt the experience. Took an LA resident who had never been-and she loved everything! I was disappointed that there was no service after our wine was dropped off...it was over $100 and was never poured. But-Terroni does not disappoint in the food dept!
Terroni was splendid, as it always is. Easily one of our favorite downtown Los Angeles restaurants. On this occasion, we shared a couple of pizzas--both fantastic. The wine was excellent, too, as was the espresso coffee served in delightful cups--one pink, one orange. Service was friendly and efficient. The space is still beautiful.
Beautiful setting (bank building converted to a restaurant). The food is really good and reasonably priced. The service was absolutely perfect.
Came to Terroni for our anniversary as it's a special restaurant for us through the years. As usual the food was outstanding, but our service was really poor. Very little attention from our server, like waited 30 minutes with empty cocktail glasses before ordering another round among other things. Put a bit of a damper on special occasion
Nice atmosphere, very nice staff, salad and fish dish were bland and tasteless. Dessert was good, though. Overall disappointed.
The pasta and pork chop were outstanding as was the service
Great place before seeing a concert at the Orpheum. Don’t recommend the zucchini blossom appetizer— nothing special but the sausage black truffle dish — incredible. The lemon tart and custard also incredible. Quite loud — no marriage proposals — maybe a confession.
Our favorite restaurant
Loved it but very very very $$$$$$
Great pizza fresh pasta good place to go before a show at one of the near by old movie houses
The guy at front desk needs a little cordial help when there is a crowd of people checking in. I was standing there for a while and another guest had to inform him I needed help he assumed I was with them. My eye contact with him should have been enough for him to acknowledge me asking for reservations.
Celebrated a birthday and Father’s Day.
Pasta is always great but I dislike their substitution policy. Options are a bit pricey, nonetheless, you'll have to walk 15+ mins, or drive to another part of downtown, to get a comparable meal.
My friends and I love coming to Terroni to celebrate all of our special days!
Happy Hour was great! The food was so delicious! Great value!
Always a great meal, with terrific service in a beautiful room.
Yum...if you are there when they have the special octopus starter, I highly recommend it.
2 friends shared a salad and then each had the special...more than enough food. Delicious!
The ambience at Terroni is fantastic - a mixture of 1920's architectural grandness with a hip 21st century feel. Our favorite is the pizza made with pear (can't remember the italian name on the menu).
Always so good!
It was a great experience. The food was good for the price. The waiters could’ve been friendly, even before they brought the checks back for signature!
If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. MOST PRETENTIOUS RESTAURANT EVER. They charge for table bread. This place does not do any modifications to their food, even simple ones like asking for no cheese on salad or parmesan on the side for the main dish, and the minute you do ask for a modification, you are treated like dirt. We were laughing so hard at our experience, waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop out and “Punk” us. Now, I have been to MANY fine dining restaurants in my time, (Nobu, Mastros, etc. to give you an example) and actually have been to a couple restaurants that advertise no modifications on food, and I can appreciate that the food is an art-form and that they have perfected their menu and craft. But the difference with those places is that it was humbly ADVERTISED, or WARNED that they don’t do modifications, in a fun, kind, funny/silly way. I am okay eating at places like that, but if you’re going to be like that, especially in LA the land of conscious eaters with so many different types of allergies and eating desires, at least have the first waiter/waitress open with a little kind monologue about how this restaurant doesn’t do modifications. Just let us know up front. My mom is a cosmetologist at a high end salon, so she is in the service industry and understands what it is to be tipped. We always tip very well, 20% and above, because we are kind, giving, thoughtful and understand what it’s like. We actually toyed with the idea of leaving no tip, because the bitterness and edge to the waitress when we asked for very simple, slight modifications was absolutely not ok. We ended up leaving 12% tip, which we actually regret.
We arrived early and were seated immediately. The service was great and the food was outstanding. Plan on going back soon!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in DTLA. Food is delicious - service friendly and fast. It is very loud, however, so not great for large groups because you can't hear each other.
Best pizza in LA not cooked in a wood burning oven, hands down. Seafood pasta was great as well. Al dente pasta and nice sized portions. The table bread and olive oil we're straight out of any restaurant in Italy. Simply amazing.
We had a fantastic pre-concert dinner at Terroni last Friday. We loved all the food, great decor, and the sommelier made perfect suggestions to go with our food. We can't wait to go back.
The food came out cold and small portions. Staff was nice. We went out for another meal after.
