    We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at The Overlook. They always greet us with the sparkling water that we prefer and have our favorite wine in stock. We enjoyed the dynamite shrimp and prime rib slider appetizers as well as the shaved Brussels salad, a bolognese entree and the chef’s special crab cakes. The crab cakes were done right, in traditional Maryland style. The chef was happy to substitute sides on the entrees. The pistachio cheesecake dessert is delicious (even if the portion is a bit small). Overall a delightful experience!

    In spite of the technical difficulties of ordering- Anthony our server was so polite and helpful- the food took a little longer to come out but Anthony handled it so professionally!!!! The manger gave us all free dessert for the uneven service which was so nice !!! The food was delicious as always !!

    We enjoyed the chance to order from the newly revised dinner menu. We tried the shaved Brussels salad, spa bliss salad, steamed mussels appetizer, drunken shrimp entree, and the chef’s special coriander crusted scallops. Every dish was excellent. We appreciated that the chef was willing to sub jalapeño-cheese grits for the grilled bread in the shrimp dish. Our only suggestion is for the mussels: they needed salt and a lemon wedge, and the bits of broken shell should be strained out.

    We had a delightful dinner on the patio at sunset. Both the salmon and the chef special sea bass were perfectly cooked. The dynamite shrimp appetizer had a light, crispy coating and came with two flavorful sauces. Everything was timed just right so our salads came promptly right after we finished the appetizer. The staff were all professional and welcoming.

    All four of us enjoyed our brunch yesterday morning. Kristy did a great job getting our orders correct, having all of our meals served in a very timely manner at the right temperature and was very attentive to all of our needs. Kudos!

    Denise was our server and provided excellent customer service. She is also fun to have as our server. We are glad she is a part of the Overlook team. My fish in the fish and chips were a bit dry but the rest of the meal was very good. Tim was very happy to have RARE salmon....he practically likes it still swimming !!

    Anthony did a great job, was friendly, efficient and accommodating. Heimo stopped by to say hello, welcome back and to check on things. We reconnected w friends, enjoyed a nice dinner and returned home in about two minutes. Comfortable and convenient. Nice evening!

    The walleye and Caesar salad were excellent. The halibut and the bolognese pasta were overcooked. The food service was extremely slow on a slow night for the kitchen.
