Inspired by Brazilian naif art of the mid-nineteen hundred, the interior decor conveys the idea of a virgin forest within the urban jungle that is London.
Thanks to an unfaltering attention to sustainability and ethical farming, Temakinho is proud to offer a selection of high-quality, fish-based dishes such as petiscos, tartaras and unique rolls.
Our dishes are the product of an ever-evolving culinary research by our chefs who strive to create new and surprising flavors, while carrying on the values of a tradition born when two very different cultures met, over a century ago.

Enjoyed the food and service was good too. Being a Brazilian themed Japanese place I was disappointed that they don't do "combinados" but overall it was good.
Awesome sushi! Nice service.
Great placed, food is delicious and the service is very friendly. Highly recommended. The only issue was some bad odours that we could smell every now and then.
Great place - the food was lovely although the set menu was not veggie friendly which the only reason I've not out 5*s for everything. Service was great, the set menu is fantastic value and really tasty including a smoothie drink.
The food was very good and the service was great. Definitely would recommend it!
We love it! Great place and Fantastic and fresh food!
Really friendly with our baby!
I will recommend it!!!
OMG the ceviche 🤤 and the sushi... 😍 Food is phenomenal, bursts of flavour with every bite. Ambience lovely, great service. Not a fan of the desserts but that's probably just my preferences. Can't fault it, will definitely visit again.
Good food & atmosphere but cerviche wasn’t as authentic as it could be
Amazing food!! Unique rolls and everything is really tasty. Often they don't have all menu items based on seasonality but that to me implies that the food will be really fresh. Service is super bad each time we go so don't expect much but the food makes up for it
Great service great food. Waiter Rafael was very attentive and did a very good job.
Genuinely fantastic food. Exceeded high expectations, will definitely be back
Second time around a little less impressive than first but still serves as mostly a fun place to eat, food was excellent first time and strangely disappointing the second time. I’d reconsider some dishes, menu is perhaps too wide?
Not terrible, but not great either. Staff seemed new and confused, and unsure about most things (“Sorry, I need to check...”). Even while the restaurant was almost empty, the staff insisted on shoving more food on our table as we were trying to enjoy starters. Kitchen seems a bit amateurish as well, as a request for a basic green salad was denied with the argument “we can’t”. (Who can’t make a salad, particularly as there are many salads on the menu?). Food was OK, although the bowl my partner had was underseasoned, and the chevice I had could have done with cutting up the fish more (what’s with serving huge chunks of raw fish as ceviche?). The rolls were decent, although the sushi rice wasn’t really up to par. Had it been an actual sushi restaurant and we weren’t hurrying to make the theatre, the rolls would have gone back with a suggestion the chefs tried again, this time with proper sushi rich.
OK for a quick bite, but not a place I’d recommed or go back to.
The food was nice, really good service!
Would be good to have a share platter for newbies.
Lovely welcome, delicious food but rushed end. Staff were friendly, helpful and on occasion a bit too keen to clear our table; taking plates we still had food on and were eating from. Bringing dessert menus while still eating the main course.
Very good. Authentic brazil/japan sushi
The food was really good and found the set menu to be a very good option! Will def come back.
Temakinho looks great from the outside, the interior is visually appealing and the overall concept is great but we thought it was a bit mediocre. Our waitress kept forgetting things we ordered (the same dish twice) and the food was just okay. Cocktails are good and the price was very reasonable.
The food was absolutely delicious and beautiful and the drinks were strong and authentic. The staff is extremely friendly and the service was fast! I highly recommend.
Really good food, cheap prices for the quantity of food, for sure I’ll come back
Lovely place in Soho. Nice people and the food is special :)
I had a lovely time in Temakinho. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great sushi Brazilian style. Loved the caipirinhas too. We definitely coming back.
I really enjoyed my time at Temakinho, staff was very knowledgeable, with fantastic drinks and super tasty food. I would definitely come back for more Brazilian Sushi
The restaurant dont like open table reserve
They give us a small table at worth part of the restaurant
When we as for another available table. They told us that the other table was reserved, but it stayed free all night long
A thoroughly fabulous visit all round. Highly recommended and will book again. 6 Star experience!
One of the best passion fruit caipirinha I've had. Although I asked for one with NO SUGAR and it came full of sugar! But since passion fruit is a bit bitter I could drink it. This was our first time at this restaurant; we went for the open table offer £17.50 as the menu was quite good - although I don't know anyone who would drink a smoothie with dinner especially sushi! The offer also included sparkling water or filtered water however the waitress bought us tap water. The food was good however the main course came out before the starter so we had to send it back; then I order an extra starter which also came as part of the starter on the set menu; so it would have been nice if the waitress had told us as the names were different so we ended up with 2 same starts.
Beverage quite expensive £9 for small caipirinha and £7 for a glass of house wine which was a small quantity in a very large glass.. £5 for a bottle of beer!
When the bill came they wanted to charge us for the 3 course set menu when we only had 2; and her answer was.. my manager said to charge for 3 because at the beginning of the meal you said you may have the 3. So I said but we only ate 2 courses how can you charge us for something we never had??
We asked her for the manager and he never came; just changed the bill
Service charge is already included in the bill as otherwise they would probably have problems with people leaving tips!
Overall the food was ok but we will never go back, overrated charges for the beverage and for the fact they tried to rip us off to pay for something we never had! There are plenty of other Japanese infusion places in London with a lot better food and service
Food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were there at 2pm so there were not many other diners. Lovely decor and has a feeling of a calm oasis after the Charing Cross Rd! You need to order quite a few dishes to feel full which then means it is not cheap.
Fancy food.. worth the penny... lovely ambience ....
Love a good bit of weird sushi. I've been here a few times, and nothing says 'Im an exciting, adventurous creature' like sushi with banana.
Tasty fresh food... good set menu deal. We would def visit again. Service is a little slow despite having quite a lot of waiting staff and not being busy... but overall an enjoyable experience!
Super friendly restaurant & impeccable service. Very food value for money Taster Set Menu at £18 for 3 course, all fresh ingredient & the sushi was perfect. Smart & clean atmosphere and not too loud. Would definitely recommend going.
I have to say the food is a bit ovepriced for a chain, but I just love it! The service is always outstanding and the food is fresh and absolutely delicious!
LOVE this place!
Cute, quirky, unique, looks amazing.
A little let down by the menu which was essentially sushi listed in another language - not quite as fusion as it first appears.
Still, a great spot and will definitely go back.
Quality food, let down by mediocre service and 'out of stock' beverages. More is the pity - because the food really is THAT good!
Read so many good reviews so we decided to try it out. We are a family of three, but were seated at a table for two, being told that downstairs big tables were for four people. By the end of the evening there was no space on the table for the food.
Speaking of food: the vegan poke was not nice at all. The rice was over cooked and resembled more of a mash. The edamame beans we sent right back : they brought us undercooked peeled beans with some sticks on top - no dressing no salt. Overall, it was a disappointment and I will be sure to never come back there again.
Went on a Saturday night - slow service and food just ok. Disappointed and
Won’t go back for sure!
Great service, a nice selection of Brazilian influenced sushi rolls, some good ceviche and reasonably priced for the location
Great food and cocktails! Loved the background Brazilian music.
Service can be improved.
