Love eating at the Boatshed, great menu, staff and ambience.
Food was good, served quickly and appropriately given it was a late lunch and we weren't drinking alcohol.
Service was good, to the point of providing a desert that was not on the menu with grace and politeness.
Atmosphere was good, no bogans or really loud groups - especially important in a small are like this one.
Nice day with a fresh but pleasant breeze made the experience even better, with bad weather the review would not have been as good as you are exposed to the elements somewhat.
fantastic venue, food and service as always. Can't beat the location right on the river- this creates it's unique ambiance
This is the second time I have dined in the past two months and both times have been very Impressed. Dined with a large group and everyone was really happy with all their meals. Would happily recommend.
Very relaxing place to dine. Great food. Wonderful outlook.
We were a party of 8 and we had a delightful evening at the Boathouse. The food was really good and the service excellent
Loved our dinner for 2 , we thoroughly enjoyed our seafood platter for 2 it was exquisite. Would definitely dine again when we are in the area and would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends
Been to The Boatshed a few times for either breakfast or lunch. Great venue and food. Highly recommend.
The food was really good (both starter and main course) Very little waiting time and the service was prompt and with a smile !!
my favourite dining place, the view makes it extra special
Great restaurant and location. Yummy menu with various choices. Highly recommend 🌝
Every year, when we are in Australia to visit our daughter and her family in New Castle, we go to the Boatshed since about 7 years and we still love to go there.
We are from The Netherlands
Beautiful atmosphere, spectacular location and view.
Fresh flavorsome cuisine.
Stunning location on the the Myall river amongst the moored boats... large outdoor covered deck with spectacular views. Delicious food . The duck breast and the prawn and ginger dumplings were beautifully presented and the whiskey cocktail was a work of art. Service was friendly and not rushed. Plenty of time to enjoy the ambience ! Will be back !
The advertised Mussels were not available.the table service was good.the venue was great .But the selection on the menus were minimal for the prices.
Thanks for a beautiful evening great atmosphere food was fantastic 👍
Great location on the water, wonderful attentive staff and amazing food, we will be back.
Pleasant greeting and ambience. Wait staff were prompt and efficient. Food was delivered in a timely manner. Presented well and as described on the menu. All meals at the table were delicious. Good value for money.
It's a great location and the food was excellent and good service - would recommend !
We love the Boatshed as it is quiet with good food
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Tea Gardens Boatshed. Service, food and ambience all excellent. We even saw some dolphins swim past!
Service excellent and attentive. Menu needs a good shake up. been the same old for too long
Fantastic amazing seafood platter , great service and gorgeous setting on the river. Highly recommend.
We had a birthday lunch at the Boatshed in Jan 2020. It is an excellent venue right on the water at Tea Gardens. The staff are great, attentive and pleasant. The food is also very good. The menu is wide ranging and comprehensive. We enjoyed the seafood platter which is easily a meal for three hungry people. The wine list is also comprehensive with plenty of local and international choice. We had a great time in a marvellous atmosphere with delightful ambience. Highly recommended!
Always fabulous service absolutely delicious food and overall great experience.
Coming by boat from Shoal bay it’s always worth the trip.
Our family stopped at Tea Gardens Boatshed on our way back from holiday. The best decision ever! The setting is stunning - with beautiful views of the water and boats.
We managed to get a last minute booking despite it being Saturday lunchtime. The place was packed with families and couples but it had a really lovely vibe, not too noisy. The waitress was really attentive and personable.
We had the seafood platter and it was amazing, very fresh. Just one disappointment was the amount of food per person (e.g. 2 oysters for 2 people, 3 prawns).
When you’re there so try the home made scones!
We really enjoyed the share plates. The seafood was well presented with good sized entrees.
as usual this pace is a gem and I can see that over the years they have invested in renovating it to suit. We had a lightening fast lunch with ( too) many children. Feedback.. the waiting and drinks staff need to be a bit more attentive. Children's meals where ALL delicious, however a little small in portion size for bigger eating kids, so the offer of ordering a large children's might be a a welcome option. Over all it was a fabulous experience, food was excellent I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Best lunch on the water at Tea Gardens. Excellent seafood platter for two
Always a pleasure to have a meal here.Lovely setting right on the river.
We aways enjoy the Boatshed - coffee is good and the bacon and. Egg rolls are generous
Brilliant venue, lovely peaceful setting, prompt service, pleasant staff, delicious food, not rushed to leave. All was excellent.
The Boatshed is always a pleasure, helped by excellent food, friendly staff and views to die for
Fabulous location and the service was excellent which can be hard to find in a small town. Seafood platter was good value and delicious
Reliably good experience
Service was okay, atmosphere was good, food - one meal served with foreign object (piece of wood) in food.
Not overly great experience.
We were a group of 8 adults for Sunday lunch- the service was friendly, helpful and efficient . Food was very nice and good value. The setting is lovely , right on the water and a perfect temperature. Would happily go there again.
Great relaxed setting with very good food
Beautiful location on the riverside - fantastic and original food - fresh fish - healthy and tasty - vegetarian options! Well done kitchen!!
The staff were very friendly but forgot to bring things we had asked for :-(
We loved it nevertheless and will go there again soon:-)
