    Very disappointing experience at Taylor & Clay. The food was amazing as always, but the service was appalling. Our party of three was largely ignored while American groups received noticeably more attention. No proper explanation of the menu or specials, an almost 90-minute wait for food, and an incredibly rude waitress. I even asked for the gratuity to be removed, as the service simply didn’t deserve it. Such a shame that excellent food is let down by such poor hospitality. Won’t be rushing back!

    Excellent experience. The waiter (unfortunately I didn't ask his name) was attentive without being intrusive. He was able to advise about the wine and food - his recommendations were spot on. Flawless dining experience. The food was excellent - we had the Chateaubriand which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Top marks for this place and I'd recommend it.

    When ordering steak here, you order in 100g increments (which is fantastic). We asked about the Chateaubriand, and were told that they only had 800g remaining. We said that was fine, as we only wanted 300. The waitress didn't register the correct order, and brought us the entire 800g (for three people). When we disputed the giant pile of meat in front of us, she claimed it was our fault and that she'd need to "speak to the chef" about it (instead of correcting the error herself then). At the end of the meal, they did the right thing - we tried to eat as much of it as we could, and they weighed the remainder and only charged us for what we ate. However, note that they did this at THE END, so the whole meal we were wondering about this ridiculous drama and how it would end. Strange way for a restaurant to ruin a meal for customers. The food was fantastic, and reasonably priced ($15/100g of fantastic meat).

    We had an amazing meal . It was a special birthday celebration and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The team let us bring a cake and balloons. Most people ordered steak and literally melted in your mouth. And the bill was alit led than I had anticipated which was extremely pleasing. Will definitely be back 👍
