Top location, stunning interface of convict sandstone, industrial edge lighting . Stunning organic wine, scintillating cocktails & authentic herbs & spices with fresh succulent ingredients!
Amazing food. We had the mushroom skewer which was delicious and can highly recommend the roast eggplant
The wine list needs to be improved, everything is fantastic.
Amazing food in both appearance and flavour (every dish was like a work of art!) in an exquisite setting - you almost feel like you are in ancient Jerusalem as you are surrounded by the old sandstone walls. Wines are a little esoteric (many Turkish and Greek wines) and so it would help if the menu contained a bit of an explanation of what each one was like. But could not fault our evening.
Lovely set up, great for casual dinning and a chat. Menu is good but they need more on it.
Would go there again!
If you buy the skewers, watch some are metal and you can burn your finger tips.
Lovely food. Overpriced $20 breakfast. And staff vacuuming around us as we were seated after consuming our brunch.
The person who greeted us wasn't particularly friendly. no smiling.
However our waiter was excellent. He was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the food and wine, this made our dining experience most enjoyable.
The lamb was excellent and the desert was really light and different.
The atmosphere was relaxed, comfortable and chic. I liked the decor. The noise level was okay we were able to talk in normal tones and were able to hear each other. That was a plus I thought.
I definitely enjoyed everything about Tayim and would recommend it to friends.
Excellent food and attentive but not obtrusive service. Will definitely go back. Loved the entree platter, mushroom skewers and the wagyu cigars.
Great experience, lovely accommodating staff, creative dishes, put it on your list!
Tayim is a great new Middle Eastern restaurant in a lovely building near the Museum of Contemporary Art. I highly recommend it!
Excellent surroundings and ambience
Good food and service
Interesting menu and not so extensive as would compromise quality
Lamb shoulder was delicious. Kangaroo kebabs a bit tasteless and wagu cigars a bit salty.
Building is lovely and good service and price.
Enjoyed Tayim for a pre-theatre dinner. They were very aware of our time constraints and made sure we felt looked after and not rushed but were out in time. The space is lovely, set between thick convict-hewn stone walls, we were alway fond of the previous Scarlett restaurant here.
The food is "modern middle eastern". We really enjoyed the kingfish tatare, the delightful mushrrom borekas, the fig salad (probably the best item), and a prawn skewer but the wagyu cigars were rather over salted and a strange texture. Our dessert, a semolina rose pudding accompanied with pistachio meringue and summer berries was large enough to share and was delicate and delicious.
The wine's we had by the glass, both red and white were well chosen and decent value.
We'll be back - there's plenty more on the menu to try.
Very good food. The best hummus is Australia !!!!!. The service was excellent and staff very friendly. I will go again and try the falafel.
Brilliant venue, great dishes (particularly the chicken and the wagyu cigars). Would recommend.
Mouth watering food from head chef Ran Kimelfeld. We tried all of the starters and couldnt fault them. The Hummus is sensational and the wagyu cigars a table favourite. We had the lamb and the fish mains with 3 sides and all were cooked to perfection with tasty Middle Eastern flavours. The desserts were out of this world, I had to ask for a doggy bag as I didn’t want to miss a mouthful but my stomach was protesting! And rounded out with a pleasant surprise when the bill arrived, only $50 per head with drinks! I’ll be back soon for sure
Great food. Great service. Good Ambience. Would come back again
Great food and good atmosphere, staff very helpful
Fabulous staff, ambience and food. We live in The Rocks and great to have such an interesting restaurant. Is now our local.
Both the food and the service were terrific. We did not spend a fortune, yet the waiter gave us his full attention. He definitely earned his tip.
The menu looked tantalizing but the flavors just missed the mark. Too much rose overpowering the pistachio in the dessert, salad components not put together well, too much salt on the potatoes - BUT - the hummus was exceptional. The service is excellent and the staff very friendly.
The food was incredible, the location beautiful and the customer service was excellent.
On both occasions I have been to Tayim the service was great and the food was amazing and definitely worth the visit. A hidden gem along Nurses Walk and comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
This place is simply amazing
Food is excellent and the wine list brilliant
Fancied the cocktails and wasn’t let down
Highly recommended !
The food was beautiful. Very authentic, fresh and wonderful flavors. The cocktails and wine we chose with our meals were amazing
great new venue in qaint nurses walk, excellent fodo at fair price
We had a delightful night at Tayim. Delicious food, great ambience in a great location. High end restoration of a historic hotel. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.
We went for Xmas lunch and it was exceptional. The food was perfect and very tasty. The fish perfectly cooked.
The front of house staff were a bit busy but otherwise a perfect way to spend Xmas lunchtime.
Delicious middle eastern food made from local ingredients
Amazing food and service. Best falafel in sydney!!! Cant wait to go back highly recommended
Delicious food! The Wagyu beef cigars and hummus are must-haves!!
Recently just opened so I guess they are still sorting things out with the menu. The food was OK, but still needs refinement. Service was good and wine list was small but good choices.
Will try again in a month or so and see what the food is like then.
Fantastic overall experience ... someday all restaurants will be made this way
Amazing authentic food. Great quality and great service...
