Tapas menu has so many great items. Great place!
The food is pretty good. However, if you charge a default 20% gratuity one should expect commensurate service; that is where this place falls absolutely short.
I highly recommend the Manila mussels - best I’ve ever had. For dessert go with the Diablo chocolate cake. It was so good! Excellent service too! Definitely going to be back.
Tango is at the very intersection of interesting delightful and tasty.
We went to Tango before attending a talk at nearby Town Hall. We shared bacon-wrapped dates, Queso Azul, Churrasco Steak, Moqueca, and, for dessert, Crema Catalana, and El Diablo. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We hadn't been to Tango in some time and were not disappointed!
Wonderful food. Just didn't like the automatic 20% gratuity added.
Great food and great service. The location is super close to the paramount theater.
Left review on Yelp. Food wasn’t that good and atmosphere was not good. Disappointed.
We usually order octopus if offered on a restaurant’s menu, maybe 10-12 times a yesr, their octopus was a bit off, stringy, tasteless, unlike what we are used to in foreign countries or in Seattle.
Seated at 6:30pm but got no food until 7:15pm! We had to rush through dinner to get to our show at 8pm. No real apology or effort to compensate. Would
We enjoyed the preset menu with wine pairings. Serving sizes were generous and the food was delicious. They customized our meal around a dietary restriction as well. The servers were cognizant of the pacing of the meal
and we were never left waiting for food or drink. I would highly recommend a visit!
We had a nice dining experience, other than the fact that the hours on open table or on the door of the restaurant were not clearly marked. Unknowingly, we made a reservation an hour before they closed and were rushed out a bit towards the end. Also, some food selections were not available. Overall, pretty good though.
It seems like at least one entree on the SRW menu was a bit of a scam. The sirloin was a truly laughably tiny portion; the meat couldn't have been more than 2.5oz, quite possibly less.
It was MUCH smaller than the regular menu beef entree I've ordered on past SRWs, and literally a third of the size of the pork SRW item ordered by the smart person at our table. The pork dish was also better-seasoned and much more interesting.
The server strongly encouraged us to order the sirloin over the pork (perhaps under orders to do so?), forgot to bring drinks twice, cleared silverware between courses without replacing it, and was generally inattentive and not on top of things.
I love the El Diablo and have recommended it to my hotel guests as one of the very best desserts in Seattle, but there are far better values and dining experiences out there. It's not worth it anymore.
Tango had a nice selection of appetizers, entrees and dessert for Seattle Restaurant week. I plan to go again in a few weeks to try other menu items.
It was our first time there and we loved it. we were celebrating our 2 year anniversary and the restaurant brought us back to lots memories specially to a Spanish restaurant we used to go in Italy. The ambience and the smell of the food made us feel in Europe. the waitress was excellent and helped me to choose the perfect dish. the food was amazing mouth watering . the chef got us obsessed with everything specially the deserts. We are definitely coming back for more.
We drove up from Ridgefield for Restaurant Week. Tango is one of our go to downtown restaurants for Spanish cuisine. They did not disappoint. From tapas to the main course everything was excellent. Scott McDowell and his team make you feel right at home. Do not hesitate making Tango your downtown go to location pre event or for a relaxing slow paced Spanish dinner.
Love the vibe, tunes, food, and drinks at this place! We enjoyed taking advantage of Seattle Restaurant week as well.
We had Seattle Restaurant Week dinner here and the food was delicious!! The textures and flavors were amazing. Love the atmosphere and decor. Excited to go back and try other dishes.
Outstanding always!! Our favorite, Diablo!! Staff and owner are so friendly!
Food is always good, but service was EXTREMELY slow. Our food arrived before our drinks. I understand under staffing and when restaurants get busy, but we had a show we were getting to and had to leave thirsty and still hungry because things took so long. Will still come back, but not if we have to be somewhere in an hour and a half.
Tango has a great assortment of tapas that work well to share. They also have the best dessert in the world, El Diablo! Also, wonderful sangria.
The service and atmosphere are lovely.
We loved everything about this place. We want to come back.
We love Tango. Had friends in town fro SF and we shared tapas and had tasty drinks. They have a HH that I need to take advantage of more often. Highly recommend, especially for a group.
The food is always awesome--we'll always come back thanks to your gluten-free menu of deliciousness! Also, Ricardo's a great server!
Service was inconsistent between servers. Didnt even offer dessert menus and just brought us a check and took the bill from us. We reserved online for my birthday and wasnt brought up. But we sat pretty quickly and each tapas came out one at a time so that was nice.
Paella and tapas excellent
We went here for the Paella and its not good, quantity is small and too expensive. We all agreed were not coming back to dine here again. Rice is partially cooked and cant believe that a burnt out sausage was still added to the Paella ingredients, its better if its left off?
This funky restaurant was a delight!!! We were seated away from the bar. From the hostess to the waitress to the manager, we felt seen, heard and our questions, comments and wants were invited and welcomed! Our small bites were different, interesting, delicious - We attended the Sarah Brightman Concert - and this was a most flashy, retro appetizer for the event!
Great choice for tapas and wine.
All of the food was unremarkable, except the lamb, which came out nearly raw. The paella was room temperature when it came out after 45 minutes. We had no problem waitomg for paella, but what were they doing for 45 minutes if the dish came out room temperature? The skillet was room temperature. When the manager offered to heat it up, we agreed. After he brought it back out, we asked him why the dish was cold to begin with, since it takes a while to cook. He was appalled that we would question him, and rudely responded that he didn’t understand the question and that he had fixed the problem. Fixing the problem doesn’t involve sticking the paella in the oven under a broiler for 5 minutes. That’s not how you cook paella. He then assumed that all we were after was free food, so he offered a free dessert, which we turned down. He did comp the paella, but then the waitress had the gall to tell us that maybe our food just got cold because we got too carried away with our conversation. The food isn’t good, the service is exceptionally rude. To add insult to injury, they automatically charge a 20% service charges, regardless of the party size, so we spent an absurd amount of money on barely edible food and then got were rudely treated by the staff. We will never be back here again.
Went before a show at the Paramount and it was very uncrowded on a Weds. Delicious cocktails and food but one item ordered was not delivered (and not charged either).
Celebrated my birthday with a moderate sized group! Service was outstanding and food was delicious! Couldn’t ask for more!
Ate in the bar - dark and moody, great cocktails, food and service. The El Diablo dessert is sinful, and you definitely only need one for 4. Also enjoyed the Spanish coffees en fuego!
Interesting variety of delicious tapas and other small plates. Great location if attending conference downtown.
Top to bottom the menu and service blew us away. We had a party of two for a birthday dinner, and left with smiles on our face, and a full belly. The croquettes are a must.
Was a very nice place, nice decor, Service was quick and efficient. Had reservations and was offered a weird table in the corner or a spot at a booth in the bar. We took the bar spot, would have been nice to get a space in front of the windows considering we had reservations. Food was good not great...always like trying new things. Portions are a little small for the price. Did not understand the tipping/service fee...but I'm new to Seattle.
Yummy food great atmosphere. Reco jarmon serrano/tomato bread
Thoughtful service (inquired if we were theater bound and reminded us when it was time to leave), and delicious food. Only negative was low lighting level that makes it difficult for older eyes to read the menu.
