I came here thinking it would be nice to try a different venue for my birthday & it didn't hold up to expectations. It was totally under staffed & some of the staff didn't know what they were doing. You had to ask to get a drink, then to order food, it came out all separately & mixed up with another tables order. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend your restaurant to anyone.
We had the $45pp feed me option & were pleased with the food selection that the manager had organised for us. The service were ok but nothing outstanding. Since this was our first time at the restaurant, I had to ask different staff numerous times what we were waiting for & only to be told that the manager was putting up the menu for us. Overall we enjoyed our evening.
Good food. The restaurant was very busy so the time it took for the waiter to take our order was slow. However once our order was taken the kitchen delivered in a timely manner.
Went here for a pre theatre dinner, great food and service
My second meal at Tai Tai. Both have been very enjoyable. On this occasion we had a pre-theatre meal (free-range Bang Bang chicken, tofu and mushrooms stirfry and xo beans and peas stir fry, with steamed rice, and a nice bottle of red wine from Orange. The food was delicious and generous in quantity and the service was pleasant, ensuring we were fed, without rushing, in time to get to QPAC. We will be back.
Food was great and the service was very friendly and efficient, a great experience.
Still a long wait to take an order but better than last time but staff very pleasant.
Amazing and friendly customer service and food to match! Highly recommend to visit!
Very good service & nice food reasonably priced!
Enjoyed our dinner, the food was excellent, waiter attentive
Great food, good service, reasonable value. Would definitely go back.
The food here is truly awesome although if you are going before a show get in early, as things get busy and the kitchen is not the quickest. I think though this is because they are spending time on freshly preparing your yummy food. So, give yourself plenty of time and take a coat as the restaurant is pretty ,much open to the street and can be a bit chilly. Great wine list too!
Great food atmosphere and service. Do yourself a flavour!
No. It's overpriced for both the food and the wine. Not impressed. Won't be going back.
Great food, great service at a very nice price. Only downfall is the location that it might be a bit loud from revving cars, motorbikes and a fire truck. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to talk to each other.
Friendly attentive staff. Delicious food. Great pre-theatre meal with the family
This place is fantastic. I booked Tai Tai for an early lunch with my friend and her two kids before a show at the Convention centre. The food is amazing and the share plates are substantial. The pork bun and pork and cabbage pot stickers are an absolute must to share! The service was great - super helpful and friendly. The kids and adults at the table were very satisfied. We will definitely go back. A+
Best Chinese I have ever had. Crispy eggplant was a stand out, so was pork jowl. Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. Service lovely, and made sure we had plenty of time to get to the play as well.
Once again great food and service.
The crispy eggplant was delicious.
Food was fresh, tasty and generous in portion size.
Was a welcoming environment with friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
Will eat there again.
Good Sichuan food. Would eat here again. Really like the pork buns.
Great food & nice setting. We ate outside which was quite nice. We ordered a variety of sharing. Kung Pao chicken & dumpling appetizers were exceptional.
Fabulous, polite and entertaining service, good food and great street aspect. We will be back!
Our first time at Tai Tai prior to attending a concert at QPAC. Food & service was excellent for a large group of eight people.
From our first visit Tai Tai has become our favourite go to spot for this area
The food is superb Our taste buds sing with deliciousness!! The friendly family environment is a plus. Our 19 month old granddaughter was welcomed and her parents put at ease as she was handed unbreakable bowl and drink cup along with baby friendly chop sticks. This great service keeps us returning each time we visit Brisbane. Which I’m happy to say is regularly. Well done guys. See you next month
Food was investigating. The sweet and sour fish unfortunately ruined the meal for us as it was very sweet and overpowered the rest of the flavors.
Overall it was a good experience
Great atmosphere and awesome food
Great location, fabulous food. Waiter Matt was fantastic, friendly and funny. Thanks for a good night.
Tai Tai is a great find in the heart of Brisbane. True Malaysian inspired Asian cuisine. We've been to Tai Tai 4 times now and each and every time it never fails to disappoint. The menu is extensive. Plenty of options for Vegetarians. The dumplings are heavenly! And the drinks menu is very unique. We make a point of driving across down to have a great feed at Tai Tai. Oh, and the service has been nothing short of fantastic each and every time.
Excellent menu and great food. Knowledgeable and attentive staff. However, when we said that we weren’t going to a theatre show we had to wait 45 minutes before any food appeared.
This was our first visit with family for lunch. We were absolutely blown away. The service was great and the food excellent. We had 4 different mains to share between the 4 of us. Each one was delicious and the serving was ample so we didnt go away hungry. We will be back!
Lovely evening, attentive and knowledgable staff, an experience I would equate to our good dining experiences in Singapore
We really enjoyed Tai Tai. The staff were excellent and accommodating. Service was prompt. The food was AMAZING! We had the selection plates of both the steamed entrees and fried entrees and the crispy duck, I would definitely get them all again. It might seem expensive but you are definitely getting what you pay for. Great place to eat, especially if you're going to QPAC.
Really delicious food with excellent friendly service. Perfect option before the theatre.
Lovely setting with pretty fairy lights .
Great spot to eat if you are off to a musical or show at Qpac .
Foods was fresh and presented nicely .
Not a 5 star but definitely 4 star .
Great value for money .
Great selections of wine and beer .
Will go again really soon . Sally
Beautiful location and nice atmosphere. Food was overpriced and very salty.
We got to Tai Tai at 6pm as we were having dinner before the theatre at 7.30pm. Sadly most of our order didn't arrive in time and we had to leave having only received half of what we ordered. They were very apologetic and didn't charge us for a bottle of wine. Oddly they gave us a complementary plate of honey pawns but couldn't get our actual order done. They seemed overwhelmed and there was something seriously wrong in the kitchen. The food was quite good but the honey pawns were a bit doughy - we didn't eat them all.
Deliciously fabulous tasty food & fast efficient service and friendly staff
Good great but food bought out too quickly.
Had only got nibbles and within 1 minute our mains arrived . Asked for them to be taken back and within about 3 minutes there back again ..anyway finally got through to them and the night was enjoyed
Absolutely amazing food and service. Higly recommend.
