Swagman Country Dining brings you a true taste of Australia with sumptuous, meats and vegetables infused with unique and wonderful flavours of Australian bush herbs and spices, the majority are grown on the property. Our concept is proudly brought to you by the vision of Sandy Retallick who was inspired to use native bush plants to create unique flavours. The Retallick family have dedicated the last two decades to rewilding much of their 600 acres of land and preserving native species of both fauna and flora. Chef Di and Chef Yulius work passionately in collaboration with Sandy to bring this vision to fruition by developing irresistible flavours to Swagman. Our wonderful front of house and kitchen staff play an important role in bringing you a memorable experience.

    The restaurant was lovely with breathtaking views of the property. Sadly we didn’t get to see an alpacas. Our server was friendly, informative and welcoming. Sadly the food was very disappointing. We had main meals of steak and fish. My fish was okay and my partner’s steak cooked well. The sauces were disappointing with not much flavour. The potato gratin was reheated, tasteless and dry. While there were positive aspects to our experience the food was such a left down we would not recommend the place.

    We had a swag of entree dishes to share, with a lean towards vegetables, The crocodile spring rolls were a tasty treat. The beetroot was incredible. Never had its like. Succulence complemented by delicious dukkah. The prawns were perfect. We purred away from the table to visit the rescue animals in the park, I was proud of how much my American guests were charmed and impressed.

    Went here to celebrate 50th birthday, food was average and prices ridiculous. We ordered the rib eye steak, was very chewy and thick so had to give it to hubby to eat and even he agreed it is quiet a small hard piece if steak for over $40, didn't like the flavour either and served with a potato stack that looked amazing but had zero taste. Everything is pretty highly priced, expensive yet not much on the plate. The crocodile spring rolls taste like prawn and crab rolls and only 3 on the plate. We paid $300 for 4 adults, that was 2 starters to share, 2 entrees to share and 4 mains and 4 non alcohol drinks. Plates were cold so food was cold within 3min of serving. The starter bread was so chewy and microwaved its not even as described on the menu.Chairs are super uncomfortable, my back started hurting sitting there. Wait staff kept asking if we know what we wanted to order, we still reading through the menu so no we don't want to order yet, had to say this a few times.The room looks inviting, with its overall set up. Its an okay spot for a once off dining experience but I don't think I'd readily book here for a lunch.

    The ribeye and our two sides of cauliflower and beetroot were done to perfection. No different to the many sumptuous dishes we've enjoyed at the Swagman. The service was superb. Thank you, Swagman.

    Fantastic service by all of the servers and good food. They were also accommodating for my grandfather with his walking frame, making sure he had enough room to maneuver

    This was my 3rd visit and lived up to expectations. Amazing food , great choices and cooked to perfection. So proud and happy to take my quests to such a wonderful venue

    Service standard is very high and has been maintained over 2 visits. Lunch is a delight in its presentation and content. After paying for a meal the comment sometimes is we could have stayed home and had that at quarter of the price but no thoughts when we dine at Swagman. See you again

    Fantastic tasting plate to start, followed by duck legs and rack of lamb, both with excellent jus. Dessert topped it all off, lemon Myrtle cheesecake and chocolate ice cream.
