Good food, but not extraordinary for the price. After reading a few local articles on this restaurant, I was expecting much more. Staff very friendly.
They have the best miso black cod in town!
Waiter was amazing. Food was amazing. Fish so fresh!
Amazing Sushi place. Edward was a fabulous waiter, and made great recommendations. The Hokkaido Uni was to die for, and loved the lighter Nigori Sake they had!
Wonderful atmosphere. Omakase was overpriced
Always the very best sushi in Seattle and beyond.
Always a pleasure
World class food and service in a neighborhood-friendly location.
Amazing service and food. The best in the city!
Attentive care with the food, the serving dishes, the atmosphere and for us it’s a convenient location with parking easily available.
Service is indifferent. Expensive. Good but not exceptional.
I received a recommendation to got to this restaurant for the best sushi in Seattle. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The food and service were excellent. I will definitely return during my next visit to Seattle.
Outstanding local seafood prepared expertly prepared, excellent service, a true gem.
We made a reservation, quickly were sat at the bar, Matt was extremely helpful and made fantastic sushi, he was also knowledgeable on the fish they had and suggestions for us to try. Great time, great atmosphere too!!
Wonderful weekend lunch. Great food and service.
Very good sushi and a wonderful dining experience.
My wife and I got the 6-course Omakase with the sake pairing. The sushi courses were EXTREMELY small - the two sushi courses consisted of 2 or 3 pieces of nigiri. Then the sake pairing only included 5 sakes for a 6-course Omakase - no sake with desert even though there were several desert sakes on the menu. Very disappointing performance from a restaurant we have enjoyed many times in the past.
Wonderful place:). We go a couple times a month. Parking isn’t easy.
We went for brunch, 11:15 am on Saturday. Only customers. Great food and GREAT service!
Another flawless and delicious meal — great sushi offerings, all exquisitely prepared and presented. Edward our server was attentive, knowledgeable, gracious and welcoming. And the saké and dessert were truly fine as well. We always look forward to our next visit!
Although we have been eating here for many years, this visit really stood out as superior! The food was absolutely top notch (and we travel to Japan frequently).
Taichi-san as always, personally greets guests, and makes them feel comfortable immediately. We went for the weekend brunch, which was superb. The Hiru, or beef, was hot and tender. The side dishes were all well prepared and tasty, especially the tofu and sashimi.
The wait staff were attentive and non-intrusive, bringing and removing dishes w/o interrupting diners, and keeping our tea cups full. The noise level was quiet, even though the place was busy.
All in all, this was a most delicious and satisfying experience. e will return again, soon!
Great food good service but the price is a bit high
One of our favorite places!
Great food! Top five Japanese restaurant in seattle for sure!
Cozy ambiance unlike many sushi restaurants. Nice mood lighting. Nice interior styling.
Excellent service. The sushi was very good. I like the greater variety at Shiro's... no monkfish livers here or daily specials. They did, however have two varieties of uni; one from Hokkaido and one from Maine. There were two varieties of hamachi; one a Fall specialty. And I liked the wide variety of saki and the option to taste seasonal flights. Though it wan't on the menu, they were willing to do a Matsutake tempura. Both the Matsutake and the chef's willingness were very welcome.
One of the top sushi restaurants in Seattle. I would choose it again just for the atmosphere.
Great food, outstanding service, enjoyable Seattle neighborhood right by the lake - great experience. Recommend it!
Amazing sushi that never disappoints. Service is outstanding- love the counter seating to see the magic happen.
Great sushi, great service. Lovely special occasion dinner.
Because opentable keeps bugging me. I have unsubscribed but I can not get of it.
Always friendly welcoming personable owner & long time employees
best in town period I travel alot and trust me the best Matt and Steve and entire team so welcoming. its like sitting at your home having dinner with friends. lost alot of that with growth on Lake Union. lived on lake union for over 30 years now and this is the last place left that understands and welcomes locals weekly l have had some hard times lately and was so glad I went back this!! its an experience
Service and food were excellent. We had some rowdy nephews along and you were very gracious in helping to keep the piece. We enjoy the atmosphere and care taken with all aspects of our dining. Thank you!
Just outstanding! Thank you for sitting us at the sushi bar... an amazing experience.
The best sushi I’ve had anywhere. They only serve fish that is sustainable fisheries. There are also wonderful hot dishes for those who prefer them. The ambiance and service are amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Let the waiter choose the menu. Superb. Really one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. I’m also fussy. Well done. 👏🏻👏🏻
Sushi Kappo Tamura has great sushi and a nice ambiance. Service is good and at a reasonable pace. However, I am always surprised at how high the bill is - quality doesn't come cheaply.
Every single thing I put in my mouth was delicious. The (raw) scallops were so good I kept ordering more. The waitstaff was kind and knowledgeable and made great recommendations.
Very good fresh fish. O-Toro and Buri belly was great. A lot of the fish they serve is imported from Japan.
Tried the sushi combo. Sushi was not made properly, without properly squeezing the rice ball and fish together. Some rice pieces were falling out. Price at premium but food quality was below par. Raw oysters were quite good though
