   Everything at the Grill was very enjoyable. The only negative was the shuttle service from and to the Ritz. A return shuttle was called three times. Once by the restaurant and twice by the Ritz Club concierge. After waiting 45 minutes we paid a taxi $15 to take the three of us back to the Ritz. When we arrived back at the Ritz the taxi that had shuttled uS to the Grill was sitting in the driveway.

   Beautiful place but not worth it. First of all we had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time and when we finally got our table, we were greeted terribly. Our server asked us if we were drinking and we said no and she rolled her eyes and walked away. We were very surprised by the attitude. I wouldn’t spend a penny in this place. They ruined our special night. Definitely not recommended.

   Took our husbands for Father’s Day. Upon arrival we were seated fairly quickly. Waitress was who really set the low stars. She was slightly rude in a passive aggressive way. Attended to tables all around us frequently and willingly, but had to be hailed by us when we needed anything. When the food arrived she dropped the plates as if though they were hot.. they were not! All around she just ruined the experience for us. The fact that a 20% service fee was already added to the bill further added to my annoyance. She definitely did not deserve it! Will not be returning!

   The highlight of our evening was the crispy manchego polenta, chimichurri skirt steak and mud pie. When we entered there was an extremely loud and large party that had just been seated and they kindly moved us per our request away from that area.

    The ambiance of the restaurant sells itself! The food was beautifully presented and tasted good! It’s a little hard to get to since there aren’t signs posted for the roads, but it’s all part of the experience!

    We had a lovely dinner. We usually go to agave, but we had dinner at Sunset Grille for my husband’s birthday. We each got steak (filet and skirt). Both were fantastic. Our waiter, Brandon, was excellent as well. We’ll be going back regularly..

    Gorgeous setting and we weren’t even there for sunset. Saw a certificate reflecting “ voted best ambiance” in USVI and believe it. Food was very good, but we over-ordered so be careful when selecting from menu - sides tempted us and we could hardly eat them! Service was fine but not overly friendly. Still highly recommend!

    Perfect night at Sunset Grille. Our server Greg was very professional and on spot. pork belly was delicious and substantial. Had the pork chop and they cook it here well. I requested medium well and sadly it came out well still even though Greg told them I wanted it Medium well. The tempura lobster was amazing. Overall, a great night out.

    If it wasn’t for Dillion this review would be far worse. But that guy made the night super special. Food was very good, but his cool and calmness brought it all together. Let’s just say it started off a little rough with waiting after a reservation and then requesting a table since we were waiting and it was given away to a reservation that came 30 minutes after us. But again, Dillion fixed the situation.

    This restaurant was recommended to us by virtually everyone we talked to about St. Thomas. I made a reservation as soon as they opened for the week of our trip, and then when we arrived, there weren't any water tables available and we had to wait for 30 minutes. Our waiter, while nice, never brought my husband the beer he ordered and food was a B at best. The scenery is lovely and the restaurant is very nice, but with all that considered, it didn't feel worth the money or the wasted night of a dinner reservation. There are other nicer restaurants on the island.

    Sunset was great! The service was amazing and the Strawberry Grouper dish was so good! When we made our reservation it had asked if we were there for a special occasion which seemed pointless because it was never mentioned or expressed that we were there for our honeymoon and a birthday. Other then that it was a wonderful experience!

    Dined at Sunset Grille last night. The bar service was very good, but the actual restaurant service was awful. Our server did not ask if we wanted drinks was somewhat rude and ridiculously slow. Never came around to see if we needed anything. Food was pretty good, but not worth dealing with bad service. We would not go back.

    The setting is beautiful, the food is great.. however the service sadly lets this place down. Didn’t feel overly welcoming, staff didn’t seem overly happy. The host at the front desk should be welcoming and bright, as this is the first and last person you see:… sadly this wasn’t the case.

    The view is spectacular. The food is over priced the small plates are more like single appetizers. Our waitress was not good and seemed “put out” that she had to take care of us. The chef was nice and came out to meet us- showed us fresh lobsters. The food was a check good- I think if we had a better waiter we would’ve been happier with an entire experience.

    Horrible service…we got there 15 min before our reservations and the bar hostess told us we needed to wait at the bar until our reservation time. After 15 min we went back to her and she ushered us to another hostess…this time the restaurant hostess. Since we had never been there we didn’t know you had to walk thru the bar to get to the restaurant? There were now two other couples before us and they also were seated before us because we were told they had reservations!!! But we did too but we’re unable to “check in” with them because of the bar hostess….so we waited 25 min and then of course didn’t get a table with a view but was in the back! Never got better from there…server kept up selling us food after we didn’t order alcohol! Such a turn off and the food was very disappointing! We ordered the salmon and it was very bland as was the lobster Mac and yuca! No flavor! Don’t waste your time on rude service and awful food!

    We were in St Thomas for our 45th wedding anniversary. We went to Sunset Grill on our last night on the island. Very nice location, right on the water. The sea bass was fantastic, and the snapper was very good. Unfortunately our server didn’t seem all that happy that we were there. He was fine, but just seemed to be going through the motions. We had to find our own water and wine bottles and pour, really not a big deal. Plus for a $250 meal for two people I was surprised when we asked for a roll and were charged $2. Overall I would go back, but it is just a bit overpriced.

    We enjoyed our dinner at Sunset Grille, but I think next time we will just sit at the patio bar. The food was pretty good and the service was impeccable, but we probably won’t go back. That being said, it was a nice change from all of the other beach bars and grilles that are so common. The Secret Harbor Beach really made our evening.

    This was our third visit to Sunset in the past two weeks. We brought our friends thinking we were going to have just as good of an experience as the first two. That was not the case on this night. The bartender making drinks was inexperienced and made our drinks completely awful. The food on this night was just ok also.

    Everything was amazing. The service was perfect. The drinks spot on, dinner was beyond fantastic and served looking like pieces of art. Loved dessert too. We were blessed with views of several sea turtles and an amazing sunset to finish it all. Great job!!

    Last night we dined at Sunset as returning guests but will not return after this experience.. The bar atmosphere was great.. drinks.. staff.. couldn’t have asked for better service. When it came time for our reservation, we migrated over to the dining area. The staff was much less friendlier. We waited an excessive amount of time for water, then again to place our orders. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, my S/O the pork chop. It wasn’t until I was nearly done my meal that the waitress came back to check in on us. At that point, we explained to her that the pork chop that was ordered was undercooked. She agreed and took the chop back to the chef. She came right back and explained that it is the lighting. Mind you, although it is dimly lit, we are not .. we utilized the lights on our phones to inspect the meat and to see that the center of the chop was nearly raw. She said “I can only say what the chef has to say. If you’d like to come into the kitchen to see better with different lighting you can” We did and low and behold, it was still undercooked… they refused to cook it more. We asked for the check and left. I have never experienced a chef returning food, especially pork, refusing to cook it to the patrons liking. At that point, it’s not even a preference but a health concern. Add in the fact that I’m pregnant and we often try one another’s food while out. I truly hope this did not occur to anyone else nor did they fall ill from ingesting improperly cooked meat.
