That was absolutely amazing Chinese food, didn’t notice before that is a Chinese’s restaurant down here. I just love it , love the chilli(hot, but not too crazy), love the people (kind & friendly ), love the place( beautiful & peaceful). Thanks for having us, my girlfriend will ask me to come back soon, I guess.
Very bad experience. One of the worst in a long time!
Half the menu wasn’t available on the day, the staff advised the kitchen has run out of food. An awarded restaurant without food to serve to their customer? No abolone, no Peking duck, no sizzling pork on the night. We had to order dishes that we weren’t a fan of and the food was way over seasoned! We ordered a vegetable dish which the kitchen completely forgot about and it came out right at the end when we have finished our meal. I have never provided a bad review for a restaurant before, but this one was a terrible experience. It was for my mothers birthday and the whole family did not enjoy the dining experience.
Our second time at Hidden Jade. One granddaughter gluten free and was catered for. Those who eat pork catered for. I DON’T EAT PORK. Shared veg., spring rolls. I enjoyed a chicken and thyme entre, was hoping to get duck spring rolls, they never arrived. Husband ordered the wrong Peking Duck dish!! Then the egg tarts. Sometimes I think my husband only wants the egg tarts. Ordered one serve. Waited toooo long so we paid our bill and left. But I did have a message from Restaurent to PROMISE next time there will be egg tarts and champagne!!
The service was amazing! The waitresses were very attentive and polite. The food was above average. Nevertheless, it was an amazing lunch with family as the ambience with scenic view was lovely and quiet. Overall, we had an amazing time.
If quality spicy Sichuan cuisine is what you’re after, then this restaurant is a must. Set within the beautiful Albert Park surrounds, the diner offers a good selection of representative Sichuan dishes that are cooked to perfection and served to impressed your ‘visual taste buds’. It’s also good to know that Cantonese Yum Cha is available at lunch times but bookings are essential especially if you want to secure a table with direct views of the lake.
Excellent food and service. The sugar artist was excellent to watch
We had a very nice lunch for Mother's day, great location and view.
Food was OK without being special. The table service was average. The head waiter was rude and arrogant. He was unfamiliar with the drinks menu and made numerous mistakes.
Fire him and find a manager that knows what he is doing.
Great concept ruined by a senior staff member.
Expensive...which would have been OK without this moron.
NO san choi boa, NO Boston lobster rice, NO vanilla ice cream, NO bottle of pinot wine available. Sunday night and half the menu wasn’t available!!! Love this restaurant and have been 5 + times but needs improving.
We regularly dine at Hidden Jade and always have a wonderful experience. The food is sensational, highly recommend.
Just wonderful!
This was our first visit to Hidden Jade and we were delighted to have such a wonderful meal. The waiter was very attentive and informative about the menu and ingredients.
Our group going back again.
It's always about the food!
