Beautifully presented, flavourful food. Simple pop up, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. If you want an intimate quiet dinner, probably not the right setting. Very loud but probably depends on the mixture of other diners. Reasonably priced. Would definitely try another Sunda experience!

Welcoming and cozy experience! The flavours, and portions were impressive. The dish was delicious and true to its South-East Asian flavours and ingredients.
Would appreciate it if the wine list was a little more adventurous, by including more natural & lo-fi options.

The food was great, as was the service. Sadly there was a birthday party table of 16 people next to us who were very loud. We ended up moving to a quieter area.
Service was poor. There was a long gap between a couple of dishes and at no point did any staff come by to check on us, offer apologies or make any contact. We sat with empty glasses and eventually had to catch bartender’s attention and request more drinks. Considering we were seated right in front of the bar and nothing else between us he should’ve noticed empty glasses and inquired if we wanted another round.
When the dishes started coming again there was no explanation on delay.
Overall very poor service.
Food was tasty, innovative and well presented but overall experience was very disappointing due to poor service.

Entrees were amazing. Bone marrow and tofu dishes especially. Beef cheek wasn’t for me. Overall we enjoyed our experience

Sunda EXP is an awesome summer pop up that I wish would stay! Absolutely delicious food that is very unique, great vibes and yummy drinks. We will be back!

Excellent food. The dishes were very good- interesting fusion of South East Asian and Italian. The "nasi lemak" was excellent; even the sambal was authentic tasting. The modified onion bhaji was a very tasty rendition of the original. Our waitress as a delight, friendly and bubbly and the other serving staff just as friendly and efficient. All said, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Great representation of what Sunda can do in a different setting! Timing of dishes can use some work given long gap between starters and mains.

The food was soooooooo good. The fusion flavours were quirky yet so normal and yummy!
Standout dishes of the night were roasted bone marrow, blue swimmer crab congee and the grilled flounder.
Bone marrow with hints of chilli paired with the warm and pillowy focaccia was a delight.
The koshihikari congee was very delicate in flavour with an almost risotto like texture but should’ve been served before the bone marrow so as to shine more.
The anchovies served with the gem lettuce was a marvellous addition to the otherwise standard salad side.
Service was prompt albeit some small errors that can easily be overlooked due to opening night.
My friends and I really enjoyed the food, especially the surprise dish! Innovative yet approachable, each course was well thought out and presented beautifully. Plenty of food for a degustation, we couldn't quite finish everything.

Imaginative and delicious, we were blown away by the creative flavours, colours and textures of each dish brought to the table. Everything was beautifully composed, they make a killer Manhattan, wines were delicious, service was really friendly and thoughtful. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Rob Kabboord (ex-Quay) has used the time in lockdown to refine his menu to perfection. It's a symphony of perfectly balanced umami deliciousness from start to finish, and sommelier Kurt matched it with interesting and unusual wines. Sparkling friendly service from the rest of the team and the return of the legendary cheese trolley, fondly remembered by Merricote fans make the meal into an experience. Run, don't walk!
First night out in ages, and oh my it was appropriately a fantastic night out. Easily one of the best Melbourne restaurants I have been to in recent memory.
It was fantastic to get the opportunity to dine at Lekker before the closure of the dining industry due to the Corona virus. The food was amazing, the staff excellent and I look forward to an opportunity in the future to eat some more of this wonderful food

Excellent service, loved the Heirloom tomato entree and dessert. Amazing flavours! Main course of Fish was nice and of course menu is very small, but we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Lekker.
We didn't drink any wine, but if we did, we thought prices for wine were very expensive with nothing at the more affordable end. Lunch however good value at $50 set price each.
Interesting choice of modern Dutch/Australian cuisine, that we thoroughly enjoyed. Thought it was good value for the 5 courses which were perfect in size. We also enjoyed the wine pairing too
We had a fabulous dining experience, the dishes were delicious and full of delightful surprises and thoughtful culinary pairings, served with elegance and well matched with the wine. We're coming back!
The meal was a little bland particularly the John Dory but the service was excellent
Each course was an discovery of different flavours. The courses came out at a steady pace based on the preference of speed. The food really was erg hele lekker. An experience not to be missed.
