Here at Sum Yung Guys we have designed not only the menu, but also the dining room to highlight our spirit and passion for asian cuisine and culture. The food is an expression of everything we have come to love about the region, the cocktails have been developed to compliment. We have crafted the menu to promote a share style, this would suggest we strongly encourage dining with friends, family and beyond. The dining room has been styled to capture the personalities of the 4 partners that share this dream, it has a warmth and energy that resembles the food we put on the plate.

The best of the best of the best. We have never been disappointed and can’t wait to go back again. The food is better than any you can find in Asia, the service always outstanding and the atmosphere is second to none.

Excellent food - would recommend all the dishes we had - duck curry was superb as was the kingfish and prawn toast. We had more than enough food and with a couple of beers got out of it for under $100 - amazing value!

I didn't think I could top my favorite Thai / Pan Asian restaurant ever (The Spirit House) but it has been matched and excelled. The variety of food, the flavours, the taste, the combinations of spicy and sweet, the quality of the food was all unbelievable.

Great wine list, and a great atmosphere as well.

Most heartening was to see a Restaurant on the Sunshine Coast, out of season, full on a Tuesday night and still seating patrons at 8.30pm.

Service was great, dishes were our out quickly (but we were not hurried) and the staff were lovely.

This is now our Go-To when we have guests up and want to show them that Sunshine Coast cuisine is not all Surf Clubs and Seafood

Great Asian fusion menu with unique dishes like the paper rolls and the prawn toast was exceptional. A good wine selection to match with the dishes. A great addition to the Sunshine Coast restaurant scene.

Oh lawdy. I didn’t know food could even taste this good. My fiancé and I went to Sum Yung Guys for lunch on our 10th anniversary.

The Miang of Crispy Rice Cakes were intense, spectacular and just perfect, and the Beef Rendang was out of this world. Now I won’t be able to order Beef Rendang anywhere else because I know wherever I get it from, I will be served a plate of disappointment in comparison to the witchcraft they make at Sum Yung Guys.

The only thing that didn’t change my world were the pork rice paper rolls, but I actually think they were just not to my personal taste.

It’s a good thing I don’t live locally otherwise I would be spending at least half of my income eating here as often as possible.

A 6142 out of 10 experience.

I loved the flavour of the food and combinations. One of the best in Noosa I've tried.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was the noise level. We had a little table for 2 and had to scream at each other to have a conversation.

We especially liked the kingfish appetiser and the roti!

Loved loved loved loved the food. Did I say I loved the food?

Spirit House has always been my fav, but Sum Yung Guys topped it for sure.

Would be amazing if you guys could put together a cookbook and include the king fish dish.

Will be back for sure.

Was just a little dissapointed that the paw paw salad had been replaced with the cucumber creation that I did not like very much . Also never really happy with the kids meal . Simple fried rice would be much better.

Had a corner tucked away in the rear courtyard which was comfortable and leafy. The team was so welcoming, bringing us water on an incredibly hot day.
We put ourselves into the hands of our waitress who chose everything perfectly in terms of mix and amount. Couldn't name a favourite dish, they were all so tasty and contrasting.
Don't miss the roti!
Thanks for a great night.

We went there for lunch on Friday . We have been there at least 6 times since the restaurant opened and it is probably our preferred restaurant at Noosa. The food is always excellent and their new menu great. However in February they were closed for the month and we assumed that they would do something to improve the air conditioning in the restaurant during this time. Unfortunately this did not happen and so on Friday, which was a hot day, the restaurant again was too hot to really enjoy a fantastic meal. Their fans are simply inadequate and should be replaced. Overall a wonderful restaurant but they must look at this issue and fix it before the next summer period.

Loved the food and the service. I've been there 3 times already and again the music was much too loud and I felt rushed. After 45 mins we were on the street again. Not very enjoyable. As much as I love the food I won't go again.

The best food e experience ever. Better than I have eaten here or overseas. Made my holiday experience awesome. The matrade was charming and greeted us like were long term customer. The wait staff know their food and provided excellent recommendations and were extremely fast. I wished I lived close so I could be a regular. Open one on the Goldie so we can have the same experience. Can't wait for my next Noosa holiday so I can come again.

Our second time at SYG. Firstly let me say that we will definitely be back and it’s tempting to just give you a whopping 5 stars and be done with it but...we had a couple of issues with beverages. The cocktails were delicious but a tad pricey so we girls couldn’t justify going back for a second one.
The two very grown men at our table who are seasoned beer drinkers would have liked to see a larger premium beer selection on your drinks menu, such as Little Creatures Pale Ale, James Boags Premium Lager, Victoria Bitter and Corona.
Bottled would be best as when the first ones were poured into glasses on Tuesday night they fell very flat and not enjoyable. The second round in stubbies were far better.
The food was sensational but I was a little disappointed that the chicken fried rice was no longer on the menu. Any chance of a comeback?
Those steamed rice paper rolls were amazing as were the mussels and red duck curry (please do not get rid of that one).
Thanks for reading. See you in April.
