Ahi Tuna Steak*
Cajun Spice Seared, Pickled Ginger, Cucumber
Filet Mignon, Sweet & Spicy Chili Sauce, Honey Mustard
My $50+ filet was overcooked. I wanted Worchestershire sauce, but they had run out of it. There was a long time interval between receiving my entree and receiving my side dishes. Have had both good and bad experiences over the years. Last night was a real disappointment.
Only exception was the mushrooms were very salty.
The $50 deal they have is the absolute way to go
Our Anniversary but did not let them know ahead of time. Service was great, but felt the vibe was staid. Food was okay - most everything else was better than the $55 ribeye.
First, there were maybe 5 tables seated during our dining experience. I asked for a bottle of still water only to have to wait over 10mins to receive it upon the waiter asking “You don’t want water” when he noticed we had no water and I replied with “we ordered a bottle of still”. We ordered our drinks (Cosmo and a double Tito’s with Sprite and a splash of cranberry). When we got our drinks the Cosmo had way to much lime and the double Tito’s had barely any alcohol in it. Told the waiter (Christopher) and he said it was a double but got me a shot from the bar to add to my drink as opposed to having it remade correctly. At $21 per drink (had 3) I feel like there is no excuse for a light pour on a double shot drink. We then ordered cheesesteak egg rolls…they came out warm at best and had noticeably been sitting in the kitchen for awhile. We then ordered two filets (8oz and a 12oz) with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. The steaks and asparagus were cooked perfectly but the garlic mashed potatoes were warm at best. Christopher was extremely inattentive but proceeded to ask if we wanted boxes while we were still eating our meals. Never mentioned dessert options or anything so I got the impression he just wanted us to leave despite the fact there was only 5 tables (at most) he was waiting on. I’ve eaten at high end steak houses across the country (not that Sullivan’s qualifies as “high end”) but this had to be one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered, from customer service to food. I would never recommend this location to anyone and will share this experience with people in efforts to persuade them from ever dining at this location again. Overall, it was a disgrace for a $270 meal.
We have been to Sullivan's many times and this time it was a bit off. Highly recommend the Cheesesteak Eggrolls and the Mac and Cheese. Steaks were not great, did not seem to be high quality for the $$. Also, service was lackluster. Our server did not come back and check on us and I was going to add something to my meal but the appetizer came out and then immediately the main course with no visits from our servers just people from the kitchen dropping items on the table and then scooting. We were in and out in under an hour, not exactly fine dining.
The three of us got the price fixe meals. Our server brought our meals before we had our soups or salads. We told them we were not ready for our steaks until we had our soups. Two of the soups we had to send back because there was so much pepper that we were choking. We opted for salads instead. Again, the server brought us our steaks. We told her we had just gotten our salads. What a fiasco. When we did finally get our steaks they were ok. We told the waitress we had been there long enough and would like our desserts to go. They put ice cream on the bread pudding in a cardboard box. By the time we got home it had melted and was leaking through the box. Not a great experience.
Always a good choice, and sometimes great - the server makes all the difference and Elizabeth was amazing! My only issue is the cleanliness of some of the interior, spotty silverware, crumbs on seats, etc. Nothing major but for the price I expect some of these details to not be overlooked.
Long dinner service, way overcooked chops but corrected proptly. Sad to see Sullivans change to shorts/shirt type of restauarnt with low quality service. Used to be way better. For the prices i would expect way way better service.
From the time we walked into Sullivan's the wonderful experience began. The ambience was wonderful. The host, her name escapes me was so great and pleasant; she created a card for my best friend's birthday since that is what we were celebrating. The busboy who served us water and bread was very nice and pleasant as well. Now onto our server, Tolani, she was awesome! She was personable and made great suggestions. Checked on us and was overall pleasant. The food was scrumptious from appetizers, entrees to desserts. This was absolutely the best dining experience we had since visiting Wilmington, DE. If we are ever back, we will definitely place Sullivan's Steakhouse on the itinerary. Thank you Sullivan's team for a wonderful and pleasant experience.
I have been to Sullivan's many times but the quality of food is going down fast. I'll start with apps. The jumbo shrimp were small, presented on a big plat and they were dry. I have had better frozen ones. The scallops were small, sandy and tasteless. The baked potato was well over cooked and because I don't like anything on it the inside was dried out and I couldn't eat it. Ordered side of brussel sprouts and they should have just said cabbage with bacon. It looked like a coleslaw and again had cheese on it. I told the waiter I can't do dairy. The wifes steak was not medium, overcooked tough and tasteless. You can't always avoid how tough meat is sometimes but just throwing salt on it does not make it taste good. The asparagus again was to have no dairy and it came out with cheese on it. To top this off the Latte was cold, ok I'll say warm. I am trying to think what good experience I had because the waiter had to be reminded a few times of things we asked for. I give places a few bad experiences before I stop going. This is strike 2 and unfortunately it was bad. Come on Sullivan's. Macaroni Grill you are killing this brand. It has been going down for a few years now. For $212 I could have had better food for half that price.
Great food and service! Was a little disappointed they were totally out of crab meat. Highly recommend!
All meals were perfectly prepared. The manager/wine steward was very helpful in selecting the right wine for the table.
We enjoyed our fillet and strip steak dinner. Both got salads and dessert included in one price. Service was very good and they had a full house on a Monday night.
My husband and I went there for our anniversary. The table was set up very nicely and our servers were very nice. I was expecting to get lamb chops but they weren’t on the menu so I was a bit sad about that. The menu seemed a little smaller than I remembered but there were still lots of good choices. We both got the Fixed Price meals and they were good.
Wrong drink delivered to table
Steaks were not steakhouse quality
Arrived 30 minutes early hoping they could seat us sooner and they did!
Disappointed the Prix Fixe selection was not available on Fathers Day. The bill for 4 people was in excess of $500.00. A little more than I expected to spend!
After being seated, we were delivered water and bread by the busboy. After 20 minutes, we still had not seen a server, but watched as tables seated after us were approached by servers. We asked the busboy if he could find our server, and still nobody came over. We decided to leave, and shared our experience with the hostess and manager as we left. As a loyal Sullivans customer for many years, I’ve noticed the quality of service and food decline, particularly in the past year. Regrettably, I do not plan to return to Sullivan’s and will give Flemings steakhouse my business.
Just ok. Drinks and service great. Food just ok. My steak had a lot of fat. Wife said hers was better. For $300 would go some place else.
Great food, great service. We’re "regulars".
I do not like being instructed to "cut into my steak and make sure it's done to my satisfaction." I understand why the restaurant wants me to do it, but if they were more confident in their preparation of my meat, they wouldn't have to intrude this way.
Food was good - steaks were all cooked well. The service is what was spotty. Took a long time to get drinks, to order, to have food come to the table. And when food did come, it was all intermittently. Starters didn’t all come out for us at the same time. Steaks arrived at the table at different times and then sides came later. It was just disconnected. Not a great service experience.
Oysters were terrible. Steak was well done and should have been medium. Second steak was not seasoned and burned. Management was not responsive, will not eat there again.
Excellent food and service. A little on the pricey side but that was expected before making reservations. Sullivan’s Steakhouse never disappoints!
I had the rack of lamb, medium. It was perfectly cooked. The rosemary thyme sauce was excellent.
Great job by Caroline! Everything was great...thanks!
As always the staff goes above and beyond. I have a wine locker it’s just great!! Bring back creme brûlée !!!!
A top dining experience! Our server was very friendly and had an excellent knowledge of the menu. One of the regions very best restaurants, especially for steak.
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We had a 6:30 reservation, arrived at 6:31 and were seated 4-5 minutes later. The table had rose petals on at as an added touch. The waitress was very attentive. We ordered the 3 course Prix Fixe meal. The caesar salad was alright but drenched in dressing. The filet mignon was ordered as medium rare and came that way but was rather tough certainly not what i would expect for prime beef. Dessert selections were nice and since it was our anniversary they offered a couple of extra chocolate choices. We shared one and took one home,
All in all it was a nice evening despite the less than great food. For the price I expect better. But I think that the quality has gone down over the last couple of years.
Absolute amazing! Best steak I’ve ever had.
My kind of place!!!!
Fantastic attentive service and excellent food
Service was exceptional and food was delicious!
The food was terrible last night. My crab stuffed shrimp was dry with no sauce. My husband didn’t like his food either
We have always loved Sullivan’s but this was a big disappointment. Prices have dramatically increased since our last visit. Glasses of wine are small pours at exorbitant prices. The food was tasty and prepared well but we didn’t get our sides or sauces until we were done with the main course despite repeated requests. Our waiter was not friendly and did not check on us at all. We had to ask other staff to find him because he was not in the dining room. We were there for over 2 hours and had to wait 20 minutes to get the check. Dinner for 4 with 5 drinks 3 appetizers was $375 before tip.
We've eaten at Sullivan's in the past and had an outstanding experience. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our meal. My husband's steak was overcooked and lobster was undercooked. A member of our party had the rack of lamb. The lamb wasn't cooked as requested. The appetizer and wine was excellent.
Sorry to say we probably will not be back for awhile.
