You will notice our dining room walls adorned with Murals of Architecture from the area of Sullivan’s Quay around the 19th century, when Jack Sullivan, whom the area is named after, patrolled the streets selling beer and wine to the local saloonkeepers. More recently this area has become renowned for its excellent cuisine and draws culinary adventurers from all around the world.
In the case of our own Sullivan’s Quay here in beautiful Port Washington, we hope you will come in to unload the worries of the world, while allowing us to provide you with a fine dining experience and the most pleasant service to be found anywhere beyond the Emerald Isle.
Great neighborhood gem. Had the marinated skirt steak, enjoyed it thoroughly.
Good food pleasant server. Had mashed potatoes were cold but gave us hot ones right away.
We did get a high table at the bar, like we requested on our OpenTable reservation. However, we didn't get a bread basket before our meal, which we specifically asked for when placing our order. And our waitress disappeared for a bit when we were waiting to order a second drink and the dessert menu. But overall it was good.
I was very pleased with Sullivan's Quay overall. As I rated, the food was very good (the Salmon was excellent) and the service was also very good. Will definitely go again...
Sullivan's is our standing go-to Friday evening place to go when we don't want to think too long about trying something new. We tend to eat early (5-5:30), so it is rarely a problem dropping in without a reservation. The food is always reliably good and the menu doesn't change much, so we have favorites.
We look forward to coming to Sullivan's Quay every few weeks. Everything we've had has been good, but recently, my husband and I have become totally addicted to the Cobb salad. I think we've ordered it the last 6 or 8 times we've been there! The service is always friendly and attentive. A really great dining experience--consistently!
Waited 15 minutes for water, 30 minutes for drinks, an hour from the time and we only ordered 2 salads for dinner.
Lamb appetizer over cooked.
Beef patty ordered medium was rare.
Not their best night.
Avocado toast was nothing like described in the menu. Was just slices of avocado on the toast with the egg on top and had a huge handful of spring mix just on the plate beside it. I mean HUGE handful.
The manager is the best 👏👍 she made our night perfect
First time at Sullian's for dinner after several lunches. Quality of food and service was top notch. We had huge dinner salads (skirt steak and cobb) that were fresh and tasty. Restaurant was busy but not noisy. Back room was pleasant. Will definitely return.
Servers so personable and understanding. Enjoyed our dinning experience
Not as good as alwAys. Our usual waitress not there. Chicken dry bread market muffins tasted like baking soda.
Great drinks and burgers. I do miss a salad that they had on the menu for years. It had mandarins oranges and chicken. It was so yummy. Maybe they’ll put it back on the menu
We were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be going back.
It’s always the wonderful.
service and food are good--noise level is high at times due to the bar
Delicious shrimp and crab salad for a warm summer night.
Normally ok here. But on this particular evening we were promptly seated and our order was taken. After drinks arrived we saw no food for over an hour. Other tables seemed to be having the same issue so likely not the waitress' fault. However we were offered no explanation or anything else. Once the food arrived we asked for the check, paid, ate quickly and exited in frustration.
Delicious Mother’s Day dinner
Great comfort food served in a cozy relaxed setting.
As always it's a great meal
Gina is a great waitress
Great atmosphere, ate in bar, food was cooked just like we wanted. Waitress was nice. She disappeared after food served, needed steak knife and another wine.No big deal, but happened😊
Always have a great experience. Food is excellent and very pleasant servers
First time I’ve had bad service here. Assuming it was an off night.
I hadn't been to Sullivan's Quay for a while - don't know why. I'm so glad we tried it again on Friday night. Everything about it was wonderful! The ambience in the back room (old Library comfort to me), the comfortable chairs next to the fireplace, and the really tasty food. I highly recommend the marinated steak!
Saturday night dinner, reservations is recommended. Seated promptly, servers very attentive. Food cooked well, appetizers well presented and tasty ( who has ever heard of Irish Nachos? ) . Main dish was good, not exceptional. Desserts average. Bill ( $$$ ).
Excellent service. Kitchen honored special requests. Really enjoyed the food.
I recently planned a dining experience and introduced some friends to Sullivan's. I have dined there for a while now and normally the experience is good. This time, from food service to quality of food, was nothing but. I gave the restaurant an opportunity to respond by sending a separate note. No one responded. The food was delivered to all four of us at 3 different times. My husband was last, and waited an extra 10 minutes for his food. We had to start or our food would go cold. He was not asked how he wanted his sliders to be prepared, which is normally asked w red meat. He had not choice to but eat as he was starving and had come straight from work. He was ill all night and next day. The fish and chips were stale and tasteless, unlike in past. It was a bad experience all around. I normally bring groups there, but will be slow to now. If you cant prepare food to serve it fresh, then it should not be served. I am disappointed with the lack of response from the restaurant, and the quality of food.
I love Sullivan’s quay. My swordfish was really tasty and the vegetables ere nicely cooked. Portion was really large, but they packed it up nicely to take home.
My one recommendation is to get rid of the paper tablecloth. Just doesn’t go with the nice ambiance.
Great Local restaurant and bar. Amazing wings, burgers and salads
Our Cobb salad and hamburger was delicious as usual. We did feel a bit rushed as our waitress was very attentive, however tried to remove our plates quickly while still eating a few times .We missed seeing the Female manager who has always been there very warmly greeting us and having a chat. Rumor is she retired , us that true ?
Very good salad with Barratta motzarella.
Special surf and turf entre was disappointing. The Rib eye was very thin and not what I expected for the almost $40. price!
Waitress was initially attentive but then never came around. We had to ask the manager for our check after waiting over ten minutes for it.
Probably not returning...
We decided to celebrate New Year’s having lunch with our friends. Sullivan’s was excellent- loved the back room with its fireplace. Will definitely be back!
We went for Sunday Brunch after a walk at Sands Point Preserve. The brunch is a great buy, and the dishes we ordered were well prepared. The kitchen was very accommodating to a low carb diet. It was our first visit and we will definitely return.
I have to say that the service was not that great we sent things back to the kitchen and the bar. The Food was okay. The noise wasn't to much which gave us the opportunity to talk and hear each other...
Always good quality meal ata good value. Have been a number of times.
We really enjoy the entire casual dining experience at
Sullivan’s Quay. From the relaxed atmosphere as you enter to the smiling welcome. Entire staff is always attentive to your needs and the food is first rate. We are happy that we have this option here in Port Washington.
Always have a great meal here. Looks so pretty for the holidays
