Grilled Filet of Salmon with Fresh Herb Butter served with Grilled Asparagus
All-natural chicken breast, slow roasted and basted with thyme and garlic, served with roasted mushrooms and asparagus and lemon-herb sauce
We were celebrating my daughters 14th birthday. We brought in our own cake and was charged a $25 dollar cutting fee and an additional $35 for them to bring it out with sparklers and a song. It was a good experiencejust a bit pricey. The milkshakes are good but the drinks and food are mediocre. Our waitress was nice the only issue we had was the wrong food being brought to us.
This is a fun place to visit ... once. The drinks and desserts are so unique and delicious. The food was good - not outstanding. The prices are crazy expensive. $8 for a cup of black coffee. The service was just okay. It’s a fun place to make a one-time visit.
Food was amazing nice host good vibes drinks was awesome
We will be retuning again. The staff and food were excellent!!!
I really felt like the birthday boy it was really cool
Wait staff was horrible, food was even worse and management was no where to be found
The host was amazing and so was the rest of the staff
The service was not great for the price of the food. Had to ask for silverware twice and our dessert order was not correct. The food was good and the desserts were very good. They run a loop of celebrities visiting different Sugar Factory locations on TVs in the restaurant. It gets annoying after a while
Lots to chose from with generous portions. Highly recommend milkshakes.
It was very much over hyped. The food was pretty good but overpriced. I would only come here for drinks.
Good location. Wasn’t too busy for a Sunday. Great staff and the drinks are great!
Wasnt very pleased. My daughter is highly Allergic to dairy. She had ordered a club sandwich with no cheese. When our food came out, my daughter started double checking her food before eating and noticed there was in fact cheese on the very top bread. We told our waitress and then she started to argue with us that it wasn't cheese she told the chief, she kept telling us it was mayo... im sorry but mayo isn't stringy and doesn't pull apart. I then told her again my daughter is highly allergic to dairy and she insured us it was good. Well after she walked away I doubled checked again and pulled the whole top part off... it was in fact swiss cheese. I was very upset and so thankful my daughter didnt eat it. We got ahold of our waitress again and showed her. all she said at that point was "ohh that is cheese, im sorry". she then took the plate and had a new one made. when she came back with the new Sandwich all she said was "i made the chief look stupid". i was very unsatisfied and after that we were just ready to leave. the service was not that great and it was all of our 1st time going, with 4 kids, 2 adults and $400 later im pretty positive that will be our last time as well.
This is a fun spot for celebrations and when you want to post photos of your crazy drinks and desserts on social media. The food was only average, though, and the goblets are mostly ice. For the price you pay, it's fun to do once, but I don't think I'll be returning. Make sure to get a reservation - if you walk-in, the wait can be up to several hours long for a table.
No birthday song as I requested and waiter was a lil rude
Girls night with niece. The concept is cool, and environment is fun!
But unfortunately how much money I paid for how bad the food was, and the service. Really not worth it.
We actually skipped out on dessert and an amazing dessert experience somewhere else because of how mediocre the experience was for us.
It was a nice atmosphere, and I can see why kids love it, but it is a one and done place for me. The service by April was the best part of the experience in my opinion. The food was just ok, but not special. The desserts are clever in presentation and tasted good, but nothing was so exceptional I feel that I have to go back to have again. Yes ...it's downtown Chicago with downtown Chicago prices, but when you compare what you get for what you pay, it is not a good value.
The actual restaurant is bomb! However my food was terrible! My waffles were cold and instead of replacing or comping the waffles they repeatedly tried to give me more waffles, the chicken fingers had no taste. Sugar Factory is extremely overrated
Our experience was amazing! We loved the restaurant. Awesome service and friendly servers thank you for making my sons 7th Birthday so memorable !
Went for my birthday and had a great time. The food is unique and delicious
Took my niece. We were the first people there. Salad was wilted. Her drink was awesome. But our fondue was cold. Took forever to pay and leave. Cost $80. For three things.
The smell of weed from one of your waiters with bleached hair tips and nose ring was enough to knock a person out. He didn’t serve my table but the computer was behind our booth and it reeked everytime he rang someone up. Which is a bit weird for my sons 4th bday celebration
The bathrooms had no paper towel of any description and was dirty with lots of blocked toilets which was really gross.
Disappointing and doesn’t add up to all the hype and celebrity backing.
Wouldn’t recommend it.
We had a great experience from the appetizer sampler to the goblet drinks. We had a range of ages and everyone enjoyed themselves.
The perfect environment for celebrations. The place is cute, love the decor, the food was delicious and high quality and not overly priced. Service was excellent
Very loud music, wasn’t comfortable, waited an hour after reservation time
Mixed feelings on the Sugar Factory. The drinks are fun and the place is high energy. If you are planning a bachelorette party, this is the perfect spot. It isn’t a great place to bring kids- we had an early 6:30p dinner reservation and the place was already feeling like a club. The burgers and cake shakes were tasty and huge - which you would expect for $20 burgers and $20 shakes. The service was terribly slow - they just didn’t have enough servers. It was fun one time (even with the super slow service) but I don’t think we will be back.
The food and drinks were fun and interesting. The atmosphere is very lively and loud. Prices are pretty expensive for the type of food (burgers, fries, etc.).
This was supposed to be a fun evening planned for my 22nd birthday. I am very busy because I’m a full time student and work two part time jobs, I also have family obligations. So this was one of my very rare outings and it could have been better, in my opinion. I don’t think the waitress ever even gave us her name, which is unprofessional alone... Either that or she was just that forgettable because of how absent she was.... but I remember she had blonde-ish hair and she was petite and spoke Spanish. Anyways, my guests were my mom, my two little brothers, and my best friend. When we came in we were greeted by a different young lady and she told us these specials after 4pm (alcoholic drinks and desserts 50% off), but before we sat down we took some pictures so we forgot the specials. We were seated and it took a little while until the waitress got to us even though the place was kind of dead (only 3 other tables were occupied). My best friend told her it was my birthday and the waitress kind of acted as if nothing, didn’t even really wish me a happy birthday.. She also didn’t repeat the specials so we had to ask again when she came back to us. Speaking of which, after taking our orders she hardly checked up on us... and when she did check on us, it was brief and rushed, that was unpleasant. We felt very unimportant. To make it even worse, there was a table right beside us with two guys and she was checking on them so often and being flirtatious, it was so unprofessional. She was offering them free shots and telling them to stay longer in Spanish, but they said they had to drive. She was even sitting in the booth with them laughing it up. She took long getting us our boxes and picking up the bill with my mom’s money. Then to make it even worse she was expecting a large tip even though she did the bare minimum. She didn’t even give us back the receipt. I’m not usually one to complain but this was really bad and I don’t think this is a good example of customer service.
I took my neice for her Bday. Picked her up from school early and took her here. She loved it!!! I would go back if she wanted. Too sweet for me although the food was good and the drinks were nice.
This was our 4th Sugar Factory across the country and overall the food was good
It was an amazing experience! The drink and the milkshake were a hit!! Definitely will be back next Chicago trip! We need one in CLEVELAND!
Great place to celebrate a birthday. They really loved the shakes and candy shop.
Took my kids and their friends before we left Chicago. EVERYTHING WAS AMAING! Our server was the sweetest! Def will be back !
The dessert was harder than a rock. I felt bad that we paid so
Much and didn’t eat any of it. Chocolate fondue was plane terrible.
Loved it 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Very disappointed in this experience. They lost our order and it took hour and a half to get our food. It was cold and seemed to have been sitting for awhile. I would not go back.
The Sugar Factory and our waiter made my daughter’s sweet 16 so great! Thank you for everything.
The food was good, it was a little pricey for her and 7 of her friends but it was so worth it!
If your coming on the weekend make sure to have a reservation.
This place is a novelty. I would suggest only going with kids as they would probably be the only ones to like it. The food was mediocre at best. The service was downright AWFUL!! It was so expensive and not worth the hype. The music was too loud and I like upbeat, energetic places but this was too much. Even my kids were overstimulated. Had I known better, I would have eaten a much better dinner and gone here for after dinner drinks/dessert. Do not go unless you have a lot of money and patience!
We had an amazing time and our waitress Mandie was outstanting! I was a bit disappointed to hear that they don't sing happy b-day if you're celebrating a birthday, we were there for my son 15th birthday and just assumed that they did something to celebrate, perhaps in the future the Sugar Factory can look into at least having the waitress and some crew members sing happy birthday.
Daughter’s 13th birthday. Waitress forgot a drink for us and left us with 1 jug of water for 9 people. the kids had milkshakes and because they were sweet drank the water very fast but the waitress took a very long time to come back around.
