SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified, and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

My friends and I really enjoyed our brunch experience. We did not have one complaint between the three of us. Two of us had been to this Succotash before, but it was an entirely new experience for the third person in our party. She was very excited to find such a great restaurant to return to in the near future.
Very cool looking place but the menu is limited and a little pricey. Appetizers didn’t come till after the meal and one of our meals was refrigerator cold. The manager was great on taking care of it but the impression was already made.
Everything was amazing from the decorations to the service I received on my birthday! I will definitely be returning.
I loved this restaurant! The food was phenomenal and there were plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Additionally the food was truly authentic to southern cuisine (my roommate and I are from South Carolina and Texas, so we had high expectations!!). I can’t wait to come back here again soon. Lastly, the restaurant has such a lovely interior. It exceeded our expectations for sure!
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was tasty. Waiter was cute 😍
The food was delicious but the service was SO bad and slow.
Two in our party ordered the french toast, which came out out partially raw and had to be sent back. Unfortunately, the replacement dishes were also undercooked. Our server was not very attentive and neglected to brings drinks, water, appetizer plates and utensils, which we had to request from management. Overall ambience was very nice, however, and management was kind and attentive.
Succotash never ceases to amaze or disappoint. This is THE best and my favorite “go-to” restaurant in the DMV. Food, service, ambience…ALWAYS on point. For those that don’t know…DMV’s best kept secret.
Great service and food, everyone had a great experience
Service and food was amazing
The food was delicious with lots of bold flavors, and authentic seasoning. The service was also very down home, authentic and engaging.
A great birthday dinner. Our server, Yaya, was a hoot and treated us well. We had the Taste the South meal. Everything was delicious, particularly the chicken and waffles and, of course, the succotash. The drinks were great too. Particularly enjoyed the old fashioned.
Food is always amazing !
Servers wore their masks around their chins, service wasn't very good.
Lots of drinks options, but not many options for food
Delicious food and love the ambiance . The servers were so warm and caring with a lovely smile under the masks!!
The food was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful decorated.
Food was incredible. Service was wonderful. Drinks were excellent. Will definitely be back!
The corn muffins were cold and extremely dry and the crab cake was really fishy. The best thing about with place were the decor and the drinks.
First time there and everything was amazing.
Food was outstanding. Can’t wait to come back for happy hour and sample the cocktails.
Shrimp & Grits were outstanding and a good value. Chocolate waffle desert was a pleasant surprise. Waiter was quite the hoot.
Good was very underwhelming and the staff was very tired. I understood why it was so Inexpensive.
I had high hopes for taking our out of town guests to Succotash for thanksgiving, but with their lackluster thanksgiving day menu charging $65/person for dry turkey and sides that I would be embarrassed to bring to any holiday dinner, I was both underwhelmed and overcharged. We were honestly embarrassed to take our friends here.
The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Looking forward to our
Lovely thanksgiving dinner. Delicious food (even for vegetarians!) and outstanding service. We’ll be back.
Very slow service. I was waiting for more than 30 min after ordering and food was cold when served. Manager offer apologies but nothing else. Poor recovery skills. Food was ok not for $$$$ restaurant.
Great Thanksgiving Dinner and nice time with my family
Thanksgiving Dinner was fabulous. Wonderful menu and everything was yummy. The servers were fantastic!!!!! The special bourbon slushy was a special treat. We will definitely go back for Thanksgiving or anytime dining. Beautiful restaurant as well.
I had such a great time dining during thanksgiving. Our waitress was amazing and we felt we were well taken care of with drinks and food. Ten out of ten service and the food was delicious! Will definitely be coming back and writing a glowing Yelp review about my experience.
One of my favorite DC spots. However, the fish of the day was undercooked, couldn’t be eaten but didn’t want to bring attention to it as we were with another couple who we didn’t know well
Love this place. Food is always awesome, and a great fun spot. So glad it’s fully open!
The collard greens and kimchi was fantastic! Everyone’s meals were very nicely prepared and delicious. I would go to this place every week if I lived in the area.
Delicious food. Great drinks. Excellent service!
Wonderful service! Food came out quickly and hot. Yaya, our server, was attentive. The food was sooo good! Even our kids ate 90% of their food!
Great service and food, loved the live music!
Nice date night experience! Our waiter was very helpful with questions we had about the menu. The appetizers and entrees were made to perfection!
The food was very good but the service was extremely slow and the noise level too loud to enjoy the meal.
Disappointing. Was over half an hour to get drinks, over an hour for entrees and all of the food was lukewarm. The server used COVID as an excuse for the delay, but I've dined at comparable DC restaurants recently with much better service and food that was served hot. Unlikely to return.
First timer and it was a great experience. Food and service was wonderful. The reality is there are some dishes you like and others you don’t, but it doesn’t diminish the experience. My only critique is that I wish they offered a selection of desserts for birthday celebrations; what was provided was a bit disappointing. A simple cupcake would have been sufficient.
Probably the best brunch we have had in a few years. The ambience was energetic, the service was excellent, the cocktails were ‘just right’, the coffee was hot and strong and the food was delicious. We will be back for sure!
