Had an amazing experience at Stubborn Seed with my wife for her Birthday (which happened to fall during our honeymoon). We went for the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing and were blown away by the flavours.

Great dinner First time not doing the tasting menu.
Wonderful crudo and beets and tomatoes. Surprisingly delicious truffles potatoes . Perfect sole. Do not skip the bread course

Thanks Parker for guiding us. Wonderful thoughtful service in each aspect of the dinner. Loved the wine suggestion.

We visited Stubborn Seed for brunch and it was Great. Not at all your standard omelette and egg affair but totally inventive combinations like roasted mushrooms with a crispy whole egg. Be sure to try the newly introduced blood orange donuts...wow! They ooze a delicious orange-flavored filling that is to die for. Everything was excellent. Not inexpensive but worth it for the uniqueness.

Many “exceptional” reviews have been written about Jeremy Ford’s aptly experimental cuisine in the SoFi District, so we went there on a cool Winter evening. At best, the food explored many interesting textures and combination of flavors from this young Top Chef winner but, more often than not, the product of his exploration seemed rough around the edges, needing refinement and editing. His flavor profile leaned towards freshness often to the point of astringency — focusing mostly on citrus and other acid notes on the dishes. In fried potatoes with truffles and cheese, for example, he has you squeeze lemon to create balance. Dishes also have a pleasing textural quality going from soft and creamy to crunchy in the same dish (fresh turnips blended well with the wagyu ribeye slices). But for what he gives in food flavors, he takes away in service and comfort in dining. The noise level was close to airport runway decibels and the service was... well, there was no service at all. Unknowingly or as a joke, he has you sit in wooden benches that seemed more reminiscent of old Catholic schools or subway stations than modern day comfort. Overall, the food was interesting but forget everything you’ve understood as fine dining and good service — those were left on the doorstep.

We were seated outside. If I had known when I made the reservation that there no lighting outside other than streetlights, I would not have made the reservation. It’s far too dark, and staff know because I told them. Management apparently does not purchase any lights. The only way in saw my food was by my phones light. Which is a shame because the food was beautiful and delicious.

A serious restaurant with good service and impressive food. Latte was disappointing with a bitter and sour taste — something was off. Perhaps it was because I ordered decaf, but still no where near the level of espressos in Spain, Portugal or Italy. Buttermilk pancakes were delicately seasoned and delicious. Mushrooms and egg combination, elegant and refined, although I think if the mushrooms had been sautéed a little more they would have been even tastier. Very pleasant to sit on the outside terrace on a sunny Sunday morning.

We did the chef’s tasting menu. The food is great but they half to either I double the amount of food or cut the price in half. The cost of the tasting menu is absolutely not worth it.

Food was fabulous and definitely a highlight. The tasting is quite pricey, but for a special occasion definitely worth it. By the 7th course I was completely stuffed. I wish there were an option for a five course (maybe there was?) Service was good but definitely not over attentive. Not stuffy in a good way. Very fun for a date... would come back to blow some cash :) The food is incredible!

Very nice ambience. The server, Parker, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He provided excellent choices for our meal. We decided to do family style and shared several appetizers and main courses. Each dish that came out was more flavorful than the one before, the flavors just popped in your mouth.Stubborn seed is definitely a place to be enjoy.

Unique, well-prepared food comes out of a spectacular open kitchen, served by a superb, friendly, accommodating staff. There was not a dish that was not memorable. This is a dining destination you should not miss if you are visiting South Beach.

Our first time dining at SS. We live in the neighborhood and finally had an opportunity to try it for the first time. Sorry we waited so long. The food was outstanding, service was friendly and the ambience was great. We brought friends who were visiting for Art Basel and they loved it too.

The menu is a little pricey and they suggest you share all plates -- so you have to order a lot which added to our tab. BUT, the food was really creative, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We will go back again and recommend it.
