We were a party of three who made a last minute reservation on Open Table. Food was very good, wait staff was attentive and polite. Tables were appropriately socially distanced and ambiance was fine. We did not like the booth where we were originally seated and were moved to another part of the restaurant with little fuss. Not inexpensive but worthy of a try if you are in town. I would go back.

When staying at the Boston Plaza Hotel, you'll be happy to know there's a restaurant right off the lobby that serves a truly wonderful Chicken Piccata (and I consider myself an expert when it comes to this dish). The only fault I found with it (and perhaps this is sheer naivety): the sauce doesn't have much, if any, lemon juice in it. Instead, you have to slice through the well-prepared thin slices of lemon and add them to your bite of chicken-and-sauce. A minor infraction: once I caught on, it really was delicious.

The chicken is served with a large portion of homemade linguini noodles. By "large portion" I mean 2-3 cups.

To start things off, I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc (nice and dry), and a Caesar Salad. The salad needs work: too much dressing, and thin slats of parmesan cheese which were difficult to incorporate onto a fork. No croutons. I wouldn't order it again: you can get the same basic thing at any chain restaurant.

The downsides: when I was there in April of 2021, there was no sign on the restaurant door. I asked a woman at the front desk for directions to the Italian restaurant because I couldn't remember its name. She sent me out the back door "turn to the left". It was quite cold and I thought I was eating within the building, so it wasn't long before I turned back to ask again. This time another woman understood I meant the Italian restaurant just off their own lobby.

You wouldn't want to make this a daily stop: it's overpriced. But it's a restaurant that's made it this far through the COVID-19 pandemic (I believe I was the only one there), and I hope they make it. I also hope they re-work their Caesar Salad.

Had a great time celebrating my sons birthday there. Upscale vibe but not snobby. They play good music, the service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. I was surprised that there was some younger children running around and yelling at times as I normally don't see or expect that at these type of restaurants. Fine with us, but might bother some though. We had a blast and will def be back. :)

While the food was great, the service was not. Half the time we couldn’t get a server for the life of us, like while trying to flag down 4 different people for cutlery once our meal had arrived (ending in my partner walking up to the bar to request it since the servers were ignoring us) At the same time, they were clearly trying to rush us out and use our table from the second food arrived. We were still eating when they started trying to clear plates. Mind you we spent less than an hour there total. Four or five different servers/busers were constantly circling our table to hurry us out, one of them even standing at the table waiting for me to finish so he could take my plate. Couple that with the incredibly rowdy all girls birthday party taking shots at the table next to us and it was pretty unpleasant

Me and my wife had reservations for a Saturday night dinner. We were seated promptly and our waiter introduced himself. His name was Jored Guri. His assistant’s name was Ardit. They were both from Albania. The service these two gentlemen provide will not be forgotten. Both the attitudes and actions of these 2 men working as a team made our dinner experience exceptional. I asked them about their accents and about Albania. They were delightful to talk with. Genuinely sincere and professional. I commented to them that there is a restaurant by our house in East Bridgewater MA that is run by Albanians. It is called Adria. This place is another example of Albanian hospitality. Jored took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. We ordered the grilled octopus as a starter. It was outstanding. Cooked perfectly with fennel and white bean purée. Aside from the excellent list of fine wines
was a list of wine specials that had a good range of prices. They had multiple bottles at $40 dollars and other bottles up to around $300. All seemed to be a rather good deal considering the environment. I ordered the Fried Lobster with squid ink pasta and my wife ordered the ribeye steak. Jored heard that we were anxious to try each other’s orders and was quick to provide 2 additional plates for sharing. I was slightly concerned that the fried lobster would be rubbery but it was cooked perfectly, as was my wife’s steak. Jored and Ardit came and went and always appeared when needed with a big smile. Me and my wife both agreed that it is rare that you remember the staff as well as the meal. There are only a few waitstaff that stand out over the years. These are definitely 2 who will.

Great service...friendly, knowledgeable and attentive! We each started with a salad, absolutely delicious but a warning...they are huge! Chicken saltimbocca was so tender and flavorful, shrimp with pasta amazing and the beef tenderloin cooked and seasoned perfectly! No room for dessert...next time!

I went to the Strega in Seaport and had a great experience so I decided to try this one because I wanted to go out to eat by myself.

The food was pretty good. The calamari was great. I’ve had better Salmon but it was still good. No complaints about the food.

Why I’m dropping stars is because I almost felt rushed in a way. I came in pretty early so there was maybe one other table on the side of the restaurant I was on. The place was not busy at the time. I felt like every 5 minutes, I was being asked if the food was good or if I’m ready to go on to the next or if I’m almost done. I also just felt eyes. There was a point I just pulled out my AirPods to switch my dead one for the one that was charged and the server came over and asked if I was done. It was just strange.

It’s to my knowledge that every restaurant (including the one I work for part time) has 90 minutes to eat due to covid but I started to get these vibes maybe 30 minutes in. It got kind of uncomfortable.

The server was actually nice so it just didn’t make sense to me.

What REALLY took me by surprise was that the server took the check off of the table basically right as I finished signing off on it & writing the tip. I eat out A LOT and that has never happened to me. I didn’t even get up from the table from this point or anything as I just called my Lyft.

I’ve worked in a handful of restaurants as FOH to know proper etiquette for FOH staff.

I don’t know if I’ll be back to this location off of comfortability alone.

We had a reservation for 8:00 PM and arrived 5 minutes early and were seated immediately. The restaurant was at 25% capacity per the MA Governor. The assistant waiter was prompt w/ our water, heated focaccia, oil, and butter. Which was delicious. Oscar the main waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable. For the first 40 minutes of our meal, he was very attentive but then as his section became busier he was less so. I ordered a filet mignon-cooked medium (it was perfect!) and the grilled asparagus (delicious). My husband ordered the dry-aged bone-in cut cooked rare (also perfect!), he ordered the roasted brussel sprouts w/ a very generous amount of Pancetta (amazing) and we ordered the olive oil mashed potatoes for the table. OMG, there are no words, these were the BEST mashed potatoes I have ever had. We both had leftovers to bring home. For dessert, we split a Tiramisu and each had a cappuccino. We had about 60% of the dessert left because the meal was large and so was the dessert. We will definitely return and recommend it to others. Our bill came to w/ gratuity $276.00 w/ no alcohol, neither of us drinks we had 2 bottles of San Pelligrino. The atmosphere was loud and a lot of cameras were flashing due to the twenty-something customers.

This was our first time at Strega but definitely won't be the last. I was celebrating my birthday and dinner did not disappoint. Strega was very clean and quiet. Every other table was in use so we had plenty of privacy and social distancing guidelines were in place. We felt very safe. The staff was impeccable. They were very attentive and we never had to go looking for anyone to refill any of our drinks or take any food away. Everyone was personable and professional. Lastly the food! OMG it was do delicious. The steak was so tender and flavorful and the mashed potatoes were so light and fluffy and well seasoned. I highly recommend and I am sure we will be back too!

We had a party of 6 for dinner and every part of the evening was wonderful. The service was exceptional. Everyone enjoyed their meals. However, I had the cioppino which was disappointing -- the sauce was delicious but I didn't find the lobster, there were 3 shrimp with heads, and loads of clams and mussels which were rather messy to remove from the shells gracefully.

Jimmy sat us to our table the other night, and we began chatting a bit, to realize the high level of professional customer service, and authentic CARE given to us, and our experience. Highly recommended to all, you will be treated well, and you will certainly eat and drink well.

I have been here a whole lot, and will continue doing so. A+ to Jimmy and Murga, our waiter for doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

We arrived for an early reservation with high expectations and ready to enjoy all the complete Strega experience. Food was very good, but our server could not have been less engaged and always in a rush. I claimed the “last” steak special of the night then heard our server sell the exact thing to the next table. When I asked our server about this he said he was just describing it to the table, but I had indeed ordered the “last” one. Well, that doesn’t make sense to me at all. And $24 for a Blanton’s Manhattan is a travesty. Never again.

Spectacular! The food, service, ambiance... I was really blown away. I don't write reviews often but felt compelled to do so. Everything was spread out, the large circular booths modern and private feeling. The music was a bit loungey/clubby but not too loud. The servers were so on point - memorizing the meals, having them placed before the correct person. And do yourself a favor, bring your appetite and get the on-bone veal parmeson.

My girlfriend and I were dining for Valentines Day. The service was rather pushy constantly disrupting us when ordering being that we had a 90 minute reservation. I thought the waiter could of gave us more time to enjoy our time rather than pester. The food was above average small portions so don’t think the prices will reflect what your portions will be.
