For $150 per head (only entre and main) i expected more. The entres (both got sashimi) came out too quickly and was dry, like it had been prepped earlier, it didn't feel fresh. The mains were very boring. Chicken with not much flavor around it and beef tenderloin i could have made myself at home. Nothing was terrible, it was just very under-whelming for the price. And also considering we could have gone to Sake downstairs for the same money and 10 times the quality.
Exceeded my expectations. Most exciting food I've sampled in a while, from the butter at the start to the basil sponge dessert at the end. A refined, comfortable setting on the first floor. I can't wait to return to sample some of the other innovative items on the menu!
This was a horrific experience. We were seated promptly and then ignored for 10 minutes until we approached a waiter. The manager came to apologize. The wait staff then messed up orders for the appetizer and main course, adding about an hour to our dinner as each course was re-prepared, in one case twice. The food was at best adequate. The wait staff was slow to refill water and wine. Eventually the manager came to apologize a second time and comped some of the food. To be avoided.
The waiting staff were pleasant but require training on the placement of cutlery after diners have selected their meal options. The cutlery was placed knife/fork/knife fork. They also topped up water and wine by reaching across the diner rather than to the side. They did not remove the bread plates at the same time as the entrée plates.On ordering a 2nd glass of the same wine, the waiter topped up my unfinished wine glass. I had to tell him that I would like to finish the first glass.
Amazing food with fabulous service! The presentation of the food was fantastic, a very high end feel. We were celebrating a birthday and they provided a sweet little macaroon plate with a candle, which was an amazing added extra!The staff were friendly and accommodating and I will most definitely be back to dine there again :)
