I was so excited to try this place out. It was just okay. A bit over priced. I ordered the Pesto Grilled Cheese and the server suggested adding chicken to it so I did. Someone else in my party got it without chicken. When they brought it I asked if I had the correct one and was told yes. After taking a few bites realized I did not have the correct one. Shouldn't have had to pay for the $8 chicken when it was given to someone else at the table but we did. Food was good but the drive is far and so I wouldn't rush back.

I scheduled a reservation for a birthday dinner. The staff was amazing. We stay a little past closing but we never felt rushed. My only pet peeve of the whole night was when the valet team member returned my keys to the table and immediately commented that he works for tip. Definitely classless and abruptly changed the conversation of a great night.

Met some friends for dinner. We waited a very long time for our adult beverages to be served. The food came out one at a time so we were just sitting there waiting for the last person to get their food before we started eating. The noise level was horrible, we were screaming at each other. I had such a headache when I left. There was an extra charge of $2 for a substitution on my salad. I wish they would’ve told me and I would not have made a change. My salad with chicken ended up to be $28 and it was very so so.I am sure we will never go back there. They will not miss us. There are plenty of restaurants in Houston with just as good food or a better food without the horrible noise level.

Overall, it was a great experience as usual. The only thing was one guest was served bad juice. Forever, she wasn’t charged for it. The server was great as well. I just think he was overwhelmed by all the blind people at the table. Training staff on serving people with disabilities isn’t common. So we did our best to let him know what we needed. Great food and the hosts was also very nice.

The only complaint was the service.. it took about 20 minutes to get greeted from the time we were sat down and that was because I called the bus girl and asked to see who was our waitress, even after that it took another 10 minutes or so.. once the waitress got going it was ok.. my old fashioned took 20 minutes to be brought to me… long after everyone had their drinks and were already eating the starter.

I hosted my employees for lunch at State Fare at Memorial City. Parking is scarce except for complimentary valet parking with tipping encouraged. The food is top notch as well as the price, but the service does not match the high quality of the food. None of our appetizer plates and the platters that they came out on where ever taken off of our round top. I even built up a collection of 4 empty iced tea glasses at my seat at the table. Despite all the negatives, our server worked hard and the food was delicious. You need to give this restaurant a chance, just remember to bring tip money for the valet and ear plugs for the loud ambiance.

The food was great! However, the service was so so. I was excited to order a margarita flight again, which was delicious! Now, about two months later, I requested the same margarita flight and was told they never had a margarita flight option. Rather they told me (after looking at my picture of their margarita flight from the initial visit) I had their frozen cocktail flight. It's the same thing. I could tell from the description and from what I had previously consumed, in now way were they were similar. We asked (waiter, then manager) if the supplies & ingredients seen on menu were available if could a margarita flight in place of the frozen cocktail flight. No way, no how. Confused, we continued our meal without drinks, but took the opportunity to ask head manager for our own understanding the business model/ policy for restricting a margarita flight specifically. We were then informed that the order could be placed, no problem, with an up charge.... TLDR- Communication from overhead to customer, needs some work. Please don't make a customer feel crazy saying menu item never existed, especially with evidence. Thank you sir for getting us our requested order.
