Great food, wine and music. Staff at cellar door are very knowlegable and friendly
We were given a voucher as a Christmas present and chose to come to St Leonards because the menu suited us better. We were warmly greeted by all the staff who assisted us in wine selection (something I know nothing about). We sat by the kitchen and had a lovely conversation with Jack the chef. The baba ganoush and lamb shoulder were excellent and just hit the mark. We enjoyed our experience.
Overall my experience was fantastic. So much that we are thinking of booking this as a venue for an upcoming wedding. It was a beautiful day and the food and music was amazing as was the beautiful grounds outside. The only thing that marred the day was that we had organised a table prior to the event and upon arrival found all tables has been allocated. I went back inside and asked if someone might be able to tell me which table was ours. We were told to go around and look on the tables and find ours. I stated that it was not my place to ask people to move from a table that had been reserved for us. The staff member responded that if it was in our name that that is what we should do and rudely dismissed me by turning his back on me and commencing talking to someone else. I thanked him for his help. Another beautiful staff member said that perhaps she could grab another table for us which was very accomodating. It is not nice that I have come away thinking what a prat that man was and i would hate to think he is so dismissive of other persons. He is definitely not the person you want people thinking about when they think of your great little winery
I highly recommend St Leonard's for a meal and entertainment. The ambience and service was amazing. The chef at the cafe was able to tweak a few meals to accommodate my gluten free diet and the meals were delicious. The seating overlooks the garden and the vineyards so you are able to sit back and enjoy a drink and partake in a variety of options from the cafe. We thoroughly enjoyed the music on New Years Day, top quality entertainment and people were able to get up and have a dance as well. All in all an enjoyable time at St Leonard's Winery and Cafe.
Great music great variety and quality of wine fantastic food and friendly and knowable staff
St Leonard's is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. Terrific atmosphere and lovely friendly staff. I will definitely be back.
We were lucky to catch an absolutely beautiful day sitting outside at St Leonard's beside the gum tree, overlooking the vineyard. You'll find nothing short of gramworthy views, friendly staff, good food and great wine!
A beautiful setting, delicious food and wine and top staff. Our group of 8 had a fantastic day out, and a special shout out to the owner Eliza for looking after us.
Highly recommend visiting, my favourite winery in Rutherglen.
We had a very enjoyable day, food was yummy, live entertainment was good.
Excellent food, lovely outlook and surroundings, excellent and friendly customer service
We made a last minuote booking for 16 people and when we arrived the table had been set up beautifully overlooking the vineyard. The girl who looked after us was very accommodating offering to make variations to the meals for the children. If required. Food and wine was also amazing! A wonderful afternoon had by all.
Nice venue with pleasant view, staff were friendly and abliging. Cheese platter was dissapointing for the price.
Great day and will be back but salads is not just rocket and dressing
We had a great time at St Leonard’s with our two young kids with the great music, wonderful wine and delicious food. Food choices were varied and great value and all food served was quality. We will be back!
Visited on several occasions. Chardonnay and food always good. Meal size a little small so not good value. Misses craft beer option!
Overall, we we quite disappointed with the service at St Leonards on Saturday.
I had recommended the place to my girlfriends for our annual Christmas party as I went to a Wedding in september at St Leonards which was lovely!
Unfortunately on Saturday our experience wasn't the same.
Whilst ordering, the waiter was quite rude, our meals were mucked up and we had to change the order ourselves before taking it to the kitchen, the meals then didn't deliver our expectations. The live music was a great idea and we were excited to spend the afternoon in the sunshine listening to the music however once we ate we decided to leave as we weren't very satisfied.
I would love to visit again with more of a positive experience and I do wish to return over the summer to ensure that it has a lot more to offer.
Great set up but there could have been more lawn seating areas such as bean bags, rugs etc!
We had a lovely day sitting out on the grass area listening to live music.
There could have been more staff in the tasting area and the register where the poor lady was taking food orders wasn't working properly. The food came out quite quickly and was very good for cafe style food.
Over all we had a great day and will definitely go back again.
St Leonards is always great. Lovely spot, v great food and wine.
Great food and wine so warm and cosy inside can’t wait to return in summer
Fabulous outdoor setting. Great to be able to walk through the old part with those wonderful wine smells. Staff were helpful and friendly. Glad we are locals and have the opportunity to enjoy a slower paced day. Only thing I could suggest is list your direct line on the website. All the best
Excellent lunch time fun in the sunshine. Lovely experience
Very enthusiastic well informed staff at wine tasting
Our party of four really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. The service was perhaps, a little below par given the price of the meal. It could have been improved by a person serving our meals to the table instead of us going to get our meals. Mary
I love st Leonard's. I love sitting outside, listening to music and enjoying a glass or 2 of wine. Unfortunately the venue had a wedding at 4 - the staff weren't great and unfriendly, felt a little disappointed this time.
What an awesome day, wanted to plan something a little romantic for my hubby as we have both lost family members recently and have a few others that are seriously ill. It was a slice of heaven, we both had the steak, Im a well done girl and it melted in my mouth topped of with a wonderful bottle of St Leonard's NV Sparkling Brut, followed up with amazing Gundowring Ice cream mmmmmmm. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, did I say that the food was Divine and the setting = BLISS. We will be back again soon :)
Greek salad with Lamb tasted amazing, presentation wasn’t flash but once I tasted it I was very happy. The Lamb was cooked to perfection. It tasted like a Greek restaurant in Melbourne. Would rather just salad and no chips. But the chips tasted great too.
Lots of staff working and all were very friendly and helpful and the live music as good.
We thoroughly enjoyed our food, the music and the atmosphere. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Thank you
Meals were outstanding , food came fast, steak cooked to perfection , wine were a beautiful match for the food. Booked on line.
Thanks St Leonard's .
