We had a sublime evening celebrating my Mum's birthday. Wonderful food, delicious cocktails and wine, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. And the fit-out is beautiful. It reminded my English Dad of pubs back home. Highly recommend.

After receiving drinks and ordering service was very slow. When the meals arrived only one was hot. The other 3 had obviously been sitting waiting. Pity as the quality of the meals was good. Had to point out to the waitress the one dessert ordered was waiting to be collected. Overall got the impression more staff needed and the kitchen was overloaded.

Service was amazing, the wines great and the overall feel was good. The only thing that was surprising was the Sunday Roast comes cold. We had the beef and didn’t realise the beetroot and sorrel is a cold side and so the beef naturally cools down quickly on top of that. Make sure you order gravy as a side to warm the beef up!

Beautiful ambiance and fun vibe in the dining room of the Sporting Club. The steak, according to those on the table that ordered it, was delicious as was the shepherds pie.
