We had a table of four at dinner and 3 of these were first timers to this restaurant - it certainly won't be their last time! We enjoyed several delicious tasting plates and lovely wines that were recommended by the staff. A very enjoyable evening out! Thanks to all!

Some of the the best service we’ve ever received. Wine pairings were fantastic. We learned a lot about wine from our waiter and discovered flavours we like and dislike in a wine. Food was amazing too 👌🏼

The location and ambience are stand outs, it’s a nice quaint wine bar. However the good was unremarkable and in many respects lacking in flavour or variety.
I would recommend having wine and cheese.

Ambience, service, food and wine all exquisite!
Discovered this place over two years ago, just by chance and have loved it ever since.
The food is amazing and so many quality wines.
Atmosphere is like no other around if you want something cosy and intimate.and personal. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
The owner Carmel and Olivia are so professional, personal, warm and inviting.
Service is very attentive but never intrusive.. they don’t miss a thing!
And it’s loads of fun and the music is great!

One of my favourite places to catch up with friends. An intimate space, with an excellent wine list and delicious menu, something for everyone! The BBQ peaches and Jamon Salad and the melt in your mouth Squid were a highlight. The staff are delightful and owner, Carmel, is the hostess with the mostess!

We were in the back room and had a lovely quiet evening for a catch up with friends. Even though there was a big party in the front room, the back room was quiet, and the waiters attentive. Interesting and enjoyable selection of food and wine. Thanks!

What a lovely find in Rathdowne villAge. We popped in after work and sat out on the terrace enjoying the spring night. We ordered cocktails and several share plates that were all delicious. The waitress was fabulous - excellent knowledge of the menu, down to earth and looked after us. Try the limoncello spritz 😊 We’ll be back!

I have been to Spencer and Co numerous times. It is in my top two wine and cheese bars in Melbourne. The selection of cheeses is phenomenal and also the wine selection is very extensive. The food is perfection and you cannot fault the service one bit. Spencer and Co is situated in a beautiful part of Carlton and is located in a adorable Victoria style building. Highly recommend Spencer and Co and I'll be coming back time and time again.

We had a glorious lunch. The food was so delicious, we had a French Cheese Board to share then the best Prawn Linguini I've ever had. Beautiful and substantial, service was outstanding and our whole experience was phenomenal. Thank you for your hospitality. We can't wait to return.

We found the food really delicious and the wine list had some unusual wines included. We were offered the option to try a wine before purchasing which was a nice touch. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable.

Perfect choice for a long overdue catch up with the some girlfriends. A selection of delicious sharing plates, a pre dinner drink followed by a beautiful bottle of Tempranillo was the perfect combination and just a bit more special than meeting at a pub, at a comparable cost!

This cosy wine bar is a neighbourhood favourite. Carmel and her team have a wonderful range of share dishes and specialise in bringing a European feel to wining and dining. The service is friendly and responsive with clever suggestions for matching food and drinks. Will definitively be back.
