I resent being charged full price for a half empty buffet. We skipped the salad bar that included approximately 6 items and went straight to the hot food section. The Kentucky Hot Brown mac and cheese was dried out and not appetizing. The jambalaya rice was tasty. The vegetables (obviously formerly frozen) were the best part of the meal. When we approached the meat carving station the last of the beef was served to a someone 3 diners ahead of us. When asked if there was more coming out, the "chef" said eventually. So about 110 minutes later the beef appeared. I was served 2 very small slices and then he looked at the person to my right. I guess that was my allotment. My husband had to request more and was allowed 3 whole tiny slices of sirloin. The only desert that did not include mint or bourbon was the "ice cream" machine. Also, the dessert area was being dismantled and cleaned up while we were still eating our meal. If this is how Del Lago is going to do a Special Event Buffet - Just Don't Bother!! Nearly $120 in comps and nothing but regret.

There were six of us. The food was not as good as the price paid. There was not much variety and the food quality was poor. Service was adequate. Having eaten at the Del Lago buffet pre-Covid we had expected the same variety and quality of the food. We were very disappointed n the whole experience. We paid $400 for a very unsatisfactory meal.

We had been looking forward to enjoying the buffet on New Years Eve. Unfortunately the experience was less than satisfactory. The food selection was extremely limited, and what they did have was either bland or a little off. For the price point I would have expected a much better experience. Ambience was poor. Some tables had table cloths, most did not. After being closed since Covid; I had welcomed the buffet which in the past had been good. Now I understand why they hadn't reopened it earlier. They didn't even have coffee or tea!

The shrimp was mushy. The oysters weren't even cold and of poor quality.. and the salads looked wilted and picked over the food was fair. Desserts were very good. However, there was no coffee, only soda. The service was good. The staff was friendly. For the price $75 each plus $10 each for a drink. It really was not worth it. I will not do it again.

When we arrived for our chosen time slot, they did not have us listed. They asked for a "coupon" of which I knew nothing and didn't recall a "coupon" being mentioned as a requirement to enter the dining area. Luckily, I had printed out all correspondence as proof of reservations. We did get the handicap seating we requested however the table was under a duct that was blowing very cold air. A waitress saw that I was cold and asked if we wanted a different table, but I declined because by then we were almost finished. The food was a disappointment. The prime rib was a small piece, and not at all tender. I know we could have gone back for more, but it was not worth the trip. The baked potatoes were blah, the squash was cold, and anything that wasn't cold got cold from the blower over the table. If you wanted shrimp, you had to peel it yourself and who wants to get yuck under their nails when you are all dressed up to ring in the New Year! They did not serve coffee. If you wanted coffee, you had to get up and go out into the casino to get a cup from one of their refreshment centers. The desserts were unremarkable.... the Baklava was hard and dry. We have been going to this casino since day one and have eaten at this buffet up until it closed. It was always a delicious dining experience, and the desserts were over the top amazing. I don't know what went wrong this time, because the only things that were enjoyable were the salad and the Orange Chicken from the Oriental Cuisine station. The overall experience was not worth the price! However, we did appreciate the waitresses, waiters and servers that took the time to be there for us on New Years Eve!

The food was okay but given the price definitely not worth it...I would expect this food at a Golden Corral not at Del Lago

This was the biggest disappointment and a terrible way to wrap up the year. Food was less than mediocre, tepid (we were there at 1:30), plastic glasses, no hot water or coffee, and things advertised on the menu, were not there. Staff standing around in groups, in costumes, pleased with the venue. I paid $50 for a salad and some really tough beef. No options in veggies for those of us with gluten and dairy restrictions. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT that we have shared with all of our friends, can’t even explain it.
