Smith & Wollensky Boston – Atlantic Wharf
Pan Seared Salmon
jumbo lump, cognac mustard and ginger sauces
Steak was delicious and tender, sides and dessert also very good and excellent service and ambiance
Wonderful night amidst the concerns and worries in the world. Great meal fro start to finish. Shout to all who were there.
Always love it.
Great meal! Everything was delicious! Loved the Blueberry Gin Sour!
I enjoyed Smith got the filet, top sirloin, and salmon meals! And the chocolate cake dessert was tasty. Overall, a good experience and better than usual value during restaurant week in Boston.
Team luncheon bosses treat.
A promotion in the family
Great food and drinks. Outstanding service and beautiful view
Beautiful waterfront room with big windows. Great genuinely friendly service. Absolutely amazing steak. A splurge, but not overpriced. Very reasonable parking directly adjacent to the restaurant.
Service was wonderful, I can not remember the waitresses name but she was very attentive but not over bearing, food was outstanding best fillet I've had, so juicy and tender. Will definitely be back.
Everything was delicious! Looking forward to going back one day!
Went for Dine Out Boston and for the pre fixe menu it was an excellent price. My favorite part was having table side homemade whip cream!
Our food and service experience was fantastic and I felt appreciated as a loyalty member. Thank you and keep up the great work. Thank you also to Julian for stopping by to say hello.
Our server wasn't the best. He messed up our appetizer and at the end, one of the kitchen staff gave us an extra cake that we were about to indulge but the server just took it away without asking us any questions. I felt like he rushed us and didn't attend to us.
We came for Dine Out week so the food was ordered from that menu. Had steak tips, medium rare, and they were alright. The truffle potatoes were the highlight of the show. We had the salmon as well as mac and cheese and cauliflower. Everything was mediocre. Drinks were good.
Overall, pricey dinner. Not worth the hype in my opinion but glad I tried.
Flew into Boston from texas for our 16th wedding anniversary and I chose here to eat. Everything was outstanding our waitress was amazing so please let her know !!!! I’m glad I picked here to eat. Thank you
We went during Dine Out Boston. The food and service was amazing. We will be returning. It was easy to split the bill!
The ambiance was wonderful, the drinks excellent, and the service superb. And while the filet mignon was fabulous, I think it would have been nice to just add something else to the plate...a couple of sprigs of asparagus, a tablespoon of mashed potatoes, maybe a simple greens mix. The presentation was strikingly bare and unappealing (despite the beef being absolutely delicious). If not for that, I would have given my experience 5 stars.
Amazing night. Great service great food great company!
Service at bar could have been more attentive but the food was amazing & service still very friendly. Great DOB menu. Can’t wait for the patio to open!
My meal for restaurant week didnot include a vegetable on the fixed menu
I have never experienced this at any other restaurant ever
I believe this was very deceiving to lure people on then them fixed menu was a l scary
I will never go to this restaurant again
Fans in NYC and this was fine. We were seated off to the side outside of the main dining area so the ambiance wasn’t great. They were generous in comping the dessert as it was a Bday dinner.
We had a wonderful dining experience with great steak, great fries and a wonderful desert. Service and quality outstanding.
Traditional birthday lunch at a favorite spot. Good food and great service. Had the Tenderloin sandwich....awesome, I love Pea soup and S&W has the best!!! My friend got the Wollensky Salad with steak tips...the best. And, our birthday cocktails were so prefect, we had to have 2!!! I usually don’t frequent chain restaurants, but S&W is an exception!
Was seating as a table in a high traffic area. Had the bus cart hit may chair a few times. Asked to be relocated. Service suffered from then on. Took several minutes for drinks. Sides with dinner we cold and very off putting. Swinging tomahawk while visually satisfying was very underwhelming. Cooked incorrectly and flavor was at a minimum. Ordered wine with the steak. Got it while eating the last piece. Never had a bad experience here before. And for a slow Sunday night. Very disappointed.
Service was good. Our dinner was good.
Does not compare to AL
Not a good experience at all
Wagyu steak of exceptional quality at a cheaper price than others. Service was impeccable and the ambiance was perfect for a date or a business meeting. Highly recommend this restaurant
Very nice superb from the ambiance to the service and food
Old napkin on the floor at our feet when we sat , at the bar waiting for our table, the bar was full of old glasses and was never cleared, the sides came quite a bit before our main entree, steak, and steak was mediocre.
Long delay in getting menus water bread had to be requested no one took our drink order. Food came out cold. Jumbo shrimp cocktail was not at all jumbo and was tasteless. Our waitress tried to make up for the problems but she was also tending bar and trying to put out all the other “fires” as we weren’t the only ones having problems. She was very generous in taking off the cold meal and treating us to dessert but when you pay $60 for a steak you expect more than that.
Great service, even on a busy night! The wait staff is respectful and friendly!
Top five filet - Oscar style and Waygu
Excellent wine selection.
Went for Valentines Day, was not disappointed
Espresso martinis for dessert
Been a devoted Smith customer since I held my wedding reception at their Boston Armory location in 2016. I don’t know, I have visited the other locations several times since the ‘castle’ closed and something is just missing. (No it’s NOT just the awesome castle) When your dining bill chimes in at $290 for two people) you just kind of expect a certain level of quality and service. The $63 steak was,,, lacking in all respects, but I sure got ‘up charged’ for asking for the Kona / Coca rub. The most awesome Wild mushrooms ever, gone off the menu. The chef’s passion for second to none amazing eats I have come to know has somehow disappeared into quantity vs quality. The wait staff was no less pushy and lacking passion, pretty much forcing my wife and I to finish up with the current course and move on the the next. Wife and I still giggling about the weeks events enjoying a SINGLE night without children, the waitress interrupts us, and are all of a sudden being handed the bill with doggy bags when we have to interrupt the waitress that we are not through, we wanted a coffee and the iconic cake. An annoyed waitress rolls her eyes and brings the dessert menu. FYI dear waitress, this isn’t Denny’s, or IHOP, I pay the hosting staff handsomely for a night out with my wifey. (It’s so rare that we can do such a thing,,, you lost $150 off your tip for rushing us. (I’ve given $250 tips at the castle because they welcomed us, they let us enjoy our time and the food without trying to herd us out the door)) The passion and love of what they do was lost, Smith has now fallen way behind Capital, Abbe, Chops, even Ruths,,,, if can believe it. The 9’s crew doesn’t rush us and I don’t even show up in a suit and tie,,, they don’t rush us,,, period. Sorry Smith crew and Mgt, I just don’t see myself or any further recommendation for this place. The service attitude Sux, which seems to filter down into the quality of culinary fair. Smith at the Wharf is God awful for service and food.
Great service steak needed to be sent back as it was medium rare and not medium medium. Big portions enough steak for two meals. Great chocolate cake
Food was good. The noise level was very high. Overall, a positive experience!
It was great
The dinner itself was amazing! We got the tomahawk steak served table side. The only downfall was being sat next to a large (noisy) table. There were other tables available, so not sure why we were put there. Nevertheless, was still an enjoyable experience and we will be back! (Just will reserve a more private table)
Service was great, the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and was not afraid to give his recommendations. The steak was cooked the way we wanted it. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves steak.
