Fabulous, inventive Japanese-inspired food. Wonderful flavours & textures. A destination for foodies!
We booked well in advance because we know how popular it is and therefore impossible to get in at short notice. They were turning people away at the door. We had the most wonderful dinner for two. The tempura onion rings, Spencer Gulf prawns, udon noodles with lobster and crab, and the most excellent potstickers were all small share plates. We also ordered the salmon which was a larger plate with a side of rice and salad, which was fabulous but defeated us. We could have done with one or two fewer small plates for two, but it's like choosing a favourite child to decide which one we would not have wanted. The food and service was outstanding. I would definitely go again.
It was a very very hot night, so it was a bit warm inside and some brave souls were sitting outside. It was a challenge for the a/c with heat, people, and the fire in the kitchen. The music is super cool and super loud. You could talk to each other across the table, but the music volume meant you had to talk so loudly you knew what your neighbours were discussing - which happened to be breast feeding (lol).
Amazing food and service! I've already booked to go back again!!!
Exceptional food, lovely surroundings (striking selection of Japanese original prints on the walls) and attentive, smart service.
Mid week dinner at Sho sho
Great: Service - friendly and engaging.
Average: Back ground noise - not a great venue for the softly spoken.
Disappointing: Super sad to say but the food. The char siu pork was terrible, dauphinoise super dry, dessert reminded me of a defrosting sara lee, some dishes super salty and an intense amount of nori.
Lovely venue and great food! We sat outside so the noise levels were very low, providing a nice atmosphere.
Fabulous. Our expectation was low. One of the few restaurants open on a Monday night in Adelaide. But what a delight! Brilliant food with fabulous service. We left totally overwhelmed by the relaxed, warm ambience and excellent food. The plumb wine was a winner!
Absolutely delicious! Service was also exceptional
Fantastic food and wine and a great experience , highly recommended
Only negative is in spilt payments big acceptable in this electronic age
Food and service was amazing. Could not fault either.
Delicious food. All of it was so tasty! The shallot pancake, pot stickers and tempura were amazing!
Stunning food! Can’t fault anything. Sooo delicious!
Great sharing menu idea so you can taste a range of menu items.
Very impressed with the food, the new flavours experienced was sensational. Every mouthful was full of exquisite flavour. A lovely surprise I haven't experienced in a long while.
A more than worthy child of Shobosho; we had a lovely evening with fabulous food, wine and above all, service. Thank you, everyone.
Top notch service, beautiful food, ambient atmosphere.
My favourite restaurant, amazing food and great atmosphere! Would recommend to anyone!
Very well done, for the lunch menu.
ShoSho has a great selection and the food presentation very Japanese.
Wine and beer selection is somewhat limited.
What an awesome place to experience some really amazing food. Service was excellent. Celebrated our 20th anniversary and although not romantic the atmosphere was very engaging.
Will be bac
Amazing food and service and very accomodating to our garlic allergy. Great attention to detail.
Brilliant food and service - we will definitely be back
Excellent food, vibe and service. We are from Melbourne and Shosho is right up there with some of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at. Highly recommend.
Lovely staff who were all very informative and friendly. The food was divine and came out in great timing. Would definitely recommend & will be revisiting soon !
Food was delicious and they attended to our dietary requirement
Great service and incredible food
Our family enjoyed our meal at ShoSho. We adored the Salmon dishes, just fabulous and the dumplings but didnt find the Tempura dishes that appealing. Filling yes, so good for big appetites. The staff attending us were excellent. Could explain everything and very keen to ensure all our wishes were attended to. I would like to thank them and come back soon.
Set menu selection wasn’t great, too much food.
We had the $95 feed-me and it was superb! The combination of dishes catered to our requests perfectly. Loved it
Excellent lunch. Service was fantastic.
Outstanding service by friendly enthusiastic staff who clearly love their job and the environment they have created. Food to match. Could not be faulted.
Great service by our male waiter - engaging and helpful
Delicious food in a very smart setting. Recommend the tempura fish.
The ‘potato scallop’ is a must! It’s a bit of a mystery by description but it’s a wonder of crunch, taste, seafood and quirkiness.
Amazing team, great food & equally good vibes. Will be back, see ya soon x
Loved all the food in the deluxe tasting menu. Highlight was the scallops!
Really good food, small serving sizes and very expensive but overall really good!
Delicious modern Japanese. Must have the yuzu tart for dessert.
The food is amazing and not expensive. Have been twice now and haven’t had a bad dish
Food was amazing and service was impeccable could not fault anything and will definitely be back sooner than later
Thank you
Fresh food. Happy service and catered to dietary differences
