Shobosho definitely delivered on a high-end casual dining experience. The tasting menu was well thought out and delicious. Also a great selection of Sake and Japanese Whisky.

I am very sorry to rate your restaurant as the very worst Japanese experience of my life.
It is possible Covid left you ingredient free but you should have just shut the premises.
I have eaten Japanese in Asia and many states in Australia. So I feel experienced enough to offer opinion.
The entree sushimi was quite good and I was excited for the next phase.
But the remainder was terrible.
$150.00 and I could have purchased much the same food from caravan or take-away shop for about $30.00.
The 'sandwich' was quite unremarkable and the chicken only take-away quality.
I would be very grateful for a reply because I could not believe your quality could be so poor.
Maddy was quite good but baffled at my comments.
The deserts we absolutely of the poorest and cheapest quality.

An amazing dining experience. The food and drinks were incredible, the staff were very friendly and professional and the layout of the restaurant created a very comfortable ambience. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We quite enjoyed our meal at Shobosho, although found it a bit on the pricey side at over $200 for 2 people. The food was quite nice but at $13 for a single scallop and a highball (scotch and soda) for $16 the bill soon added up quickly. Overall it was unexceptional for the price and probably next time we would go to a different Japanese restaurant in Adelaide.

The food was amazing. The service was great! My only critique is that we ordered another bottle of wine with about 30 minutes left in our booking time (apparently only 2 hr seating), so it would have been great if the server had told us we only had 30 minutes left. We had to guzzle the beautiful gamay we bought when they told us we had 10 minutes left and they needed the table back, and we had half a bottle left! It was quite disappointing.

We were a table of 3 and shared a number of dishes. All of us enjoyed our meals immensely and plan to return. The Tasmanian salmon was superb - beautiful combination of flavours. Both the pork and duck dumplings were perfectly cooked and the flavours in the accompanying sauces made eating them a delight. I had the udon blue swimmer crab- I can't remember when I enjoyed a dish as much. There is a subtlety about the mix of flavours that enhances your taste buds.

Such a fantastic experience. Great ambiance, even with a full restaurant we could still hear each other. Service was outstanding with great beverage paring suggestions. We sat at the bar which was fun and engaging to watch. The food was as interesting as it was delicious. I look forward to my next visit and happily recommend!

The food was fantastic, with a mix of traditional Japanese flavours and some fusion elements. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The only down side were the very hard seats. Perhaps some cushions would help to keep slightly older diners comfortable?

Heavily overpriced food and drinks, was only busy as no one else was open.food ok but certainly not worth $42 for a steak served with nothing . would not return they think they are a little to good .good for young trendies who think there eating in a cool place, perfect.

Everything was outstanding! Seafood, chicken, dumplings divine! The only thing which I can comment on was the ramen, which I thought wasn't quite to the standard of the other food, the brisket was a bit chewy, and the broth was light on (maybe that's what you were going for).

Funky vibe in the heart of Adelaide. Food was not quite as I expected. Way more on the western side than fusion. However everything was excellent and very inventive. Lots of it too. Staff were super friendly and lots of fun. Great value degustation menu full of surprises. Probably my only negative feedback was the lack of a matched pairing for the degustation menu.

This place is another hidden gem of Adelaide. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave, it can be everything from an intimate, to as if you were dining with everyone and never feel uncomfortable. The food is to die for, fusions of flavour ranging from Asian inspired to the most modern of tastes presented well. The biggest issue is choosing what to order. Suggest going the share route to fully experience everything on offer. The service is also a highlight, Christopher and James make for a fun night and some great laughs.

Dinner was absolutely amazing, we did the 4 course and opted to order a bottle of wine and a couple of cocktails. It was a fantastic night out.
Was a little uncomfortable at teppanyaki grill (very squishy) but we were a later booking so I understand.

I've been a couple times so took interstate colleagues for dinner - they were impressed! Would recommend the feed me option. Delicious food & lots of it. Catered well for dietary requirements too. Extensive wine list, bit on the pricy side though. Would be great to see some more SA beers & wines on the list.
