Born from a Melbourne sunset, our pop-up restaurant, Shelanous, evolved into a multi-sensory journey, blending Melbourne’s seasons into each dish. As we transitioned to “Shelanous”, we retained the essence of sharing, embodied in “nous,” meaning “our” or “us” in Hebrew and French.

What an unforgettable team and a truly mind-blowing experience! From the moment you enter the venue, you are enveloped in an atmosphere of meticulous detail and thoughtful design. Every element, even down to the restrooms, was handled with impeccable care. The team radiated energy and provided a deeply personalised, intimate experience where no request was too big or small. The food? Simply exquisite. Each dish was perfectly paired with complementary drinks, and the option to switch between alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at any point added a flexible touch that enhanced the overall dining journey. One of the highlights for me was the communal seating—gathering everyone around one large table. It brought back the simplicity of engaging with others, sparking refreshing conversations and genuine connections. It was an evening that blended culinary brilliance with a social warmth that felt almost magical. Looking forward to visiting again.

Fabulous experience, from the moment we walked into the restaurant we were made to feel special. The food was presented in a very creative and interesting manner, but more importantly it was delicious. Yes it was an expensive evening but worth every cent. I will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Ahhhhmazing experience, you really feel the passion behind the entertainment and food. Couldn't fault anything, best night. Great selection of food alongside drinking and fantastic entertainment which included a bit of singing. You just go with it. Highley recommend

This restaurant is exceptional! A absolute treat for a special occasion. It is a theatrical experience including food which ignites your absolute senses. I took two friends for their birthday and we were absolutely amazed. We have eaten at many five star restaurants and I have a hospitality background. This restaurant was outstanding. The owner/operators are extremely passionate people. We spoke to them after the show and they are so passionate about what they deliver. It’s a must do in Melbourne! Also if you don’t drink alcohol the alternative matching drinks were 💯. You don’t miss out on the fun!

Absolutely incredible! A sensory feast that will leave you feeling joyous, delighted and gleeful. An elegant night coupled with high levels of ambience and the cuisine is delicieuse! The staff are passionate, kind and dedicated in enhancing the experience through the magic of every little detail coming to life! Just spectacular. There is nothing like it in Melbourne!
