Seven Stars Inn
The Seven Stars Inn is the original Chester County steakhouse. We may be new to OpenTable, but we have been wowing our guests for over 275 years by featuring overly generous portions of the finest beef, veal and seafood served in a gracious white table cloth atmosphere. Legend has it that the Inn even served President George Washington himself in this very same historic building set in scenic Chester County.
The cocktail lounge is warm and inviting, and the well thought out wine list includes a broad spectrum of varietals and geographic origins.
Family friendly, the Seven Stars has not only a great Children’s Menu but also a Young Adult’s Menu. Both of these menus scale down the size of the serving and price of their offerings to help mom and dad afford an evening out with the whole family.
All major credit cards are welcomed.
Roast Prime Rib of Beef
Twin 6 oz. Lobster Tails, Stuffed with Crabmeat and Served with Sauteed Shrimp and Hollandaise Sauce (market price)
Seven Stars didn’t disappoint us. We have been to the restaurant many times before but not in the last 10 years and it was just like I remembered it. Great way to celebrate our 41st anniversary
Some things could be better handled - my husband had the sea food dish with shrimp. The tails were left on and they were covered in the sauce so every time he went to eat one it got messy with the tails having to be removed. I will say we had John as our waiter and he was excellant.
Been going to Seven Stars for about 20 years and still as awesome as the first time! Can always count on them for a great dinner for that special occasion (birthday, engagement anniversary, wedding anniversary, or just because). Love Seven Stars!
Everything was absolutely amazing. We had the Shrimp Trio, Queen Filet, New York strip, stuffed mushrooms, shrimp cocktail & many of the sides. We also purchased a bottle of Cabernet. Our server was extremely nice & attentive as were the people bussing the tables & filling water. It’s always a treat for us to dine at Seven Stars & this time did not disappoint, per usual. I highly recommend Seven Stars for an adult date night. The ambiance is great & the food is delicious!
I do not understand all the high ratings for this place. The food was meh. Portions large yes but the meat was not quality meat. My husbands prime rib was tough and they drown my stuffed lobster tails in sauce (which was not listed as being on the dish on the menu). Save your money and to Creeds instead.
Wonderful place with great food and service!!!....loveeating there!!
We had not been there in 15 years and glad to see the place still maintained it great food and tremendous portions!
A screaming kid and an over worked uninterested waitress made this celebration a big bummer…. We waited 40 min for water …. Listening to a child that was screaming throughout the entire 400.00 meal 😫
We celebrated a 50th Birthday and everything was wonderful!
Even though the food was exceptional, it was overpriced. There are many fine restaurants that have outstanding food at one half to two thirds of the price. For a special occasion, it is a very special place to dine. I would save it for special events only. It's way too expensive to put into your regular dining options.
We had a wonderful dinner! We enjoyed everything that we ordered and it was cooked perfectly!
We unfortunately had a pretty bad experience at Seven Stars. Virtually ignored by our server, very loud patrons in another room made it impossible to have a conversation. The food was okay but at $90 for prime rib (and other entrees just as astoundingly priced), we will never go again. I need to repeat - the service was appalling. Even the busser was complaining to us.
Unfortunately one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.
Hostess never sat us with menus, obviously didn’t tell the server about our table… as we were sat in a nice quiet corner it took 25 mins to find someone to get us menus and a server.
They brought one of out two meals out. When the server who delivered the meals ask if there was anything else, we said yes, we are missing one meal. She okay, and never delivered or told anyone. 10 mins passed as the one meal got cold til our regular server so we were missing one meal and delivered in about 5 minutes later. $90 for a wonderful prime rib got cold because they couldn’t deliver two meals together.
Ask for ketchup when we ordered, when the one meal was delivered, and one again when the second meal Finally showed. Never got it. Oh well I guess.
Then to end our meal the bus boy cleared our plates with a few bites of my meal left but saw the take home container so he assumed we were done.
It would have been nice if a manager would have stopped and checked on our meal/experience. Specificity after not getting a server for 25 mins, or perhaps when only one meal came out.
Food was good, service was good, but something may have been bad with the cocktail. We each had a drink and were very sick for the next 24 hours. Very dizzy, confused, and had to stay in bed. Had difficulty even driving. That should not happen from only one drink, then eating a huge three course meal.
We began to feel this way as we ate our food and so we drank a lot of water and ice tea with our meals because we were not sure what was happening. We didn’t expect it to continue all night and throughout the next day. 24 hours later now, and we are just beginning to feel less dizzy. NOT a good experience!
Given that, we won’t return here to eat.
Great food, quiet enough so you can have a good conversation and service was awesome. Just a tad dark at the table.
Other than that, we would definitely go back soon.
Excellent restaurant to celebrate special occasions!
Waitresses were not very attentive. Cost ~$60 for a 12oz filet (c. Nov 2021).
Food very good. Ambiance was nice
Our service was fantastic, the prices have gone up significantly. The food was good.
The best prime rib ever. Huge portions, amazing service.
Wonderful birthday meal. The prime rib, steaks, salmon and veal were delicious. Loved the ambiance. Our server, Michelle, could not have been nicer or more efficient. Pam sang a lovely Happy Birthday!! Will go back for sure.
Very good, very generous portions, very good service, definitely will go back
Our food and server were great!
Super cute atmosphere and filet were delicious. We took advantage of the 2nd filet to take home for $10. Yummy! The only down side is the noise. We were in the main dining room and it was really loud.
Food is always sooo good and we were pleasantly surprised by the Filet Friday deal. What a steal! John was a great server. We were in a room next to a large party and it was a little loud, but we still had a great time.
We had the best dinner last night. Everything was delicious. Service was perfect and great. We had no complaints. We are looking roward to our next visit.
Excellent service and excellent food!
Great food and staff. Not to forget the owner also came by. Enjoyed it very much and next time I’m back I. Town from Alaska, I’ll be sure to go again.
Sadly the place was beat. Nothing, nothing of my dinner was worth $71. The radio is broke so it was dead silence. They didn’t have the chandeliers on …the entryways were dark, they didn’t have the little white lights on the trees outside, it was rather depressing. They have a paper in their menu saying they absorb the price of beef… They didn’t absorb it the customer did. Most likely the last time I’ll ever be there again. After I left I was ticked off that I spent that much money for that.
This is the place to go for Wedding Anniversary , Birthdays , are just a date night . The food was wonderful and plenty of it . We had crab soup and turtle soup to start our meal. Salads and then the main course . My son had the prime rib and it was so big 40oz. It was cooked perfectly . The rest of us had sea food . A wonderful meal .
Food was excellent. We have been here several times and it has never disappointed.
Great service and incredible food. Pricey but definitely worth it
Outrageously expensive. Huge portions. They need to make the portion size smaller by at least half and the prices need to be cut in half as well. Ridiculous.
We’ve been to Seven Stars several times and have always had a great experience, the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the prices were extremely high and both of our meals were extremely salty. I know prices went up for just about everything but this was the first time I felt I didn’t get what I paid for. The service was fantastic, our waitress Michelle was great!
Excellent and very attentive service! Huge menu with variety of selections. Food was delicious.
Food is still excellent, but beef prices went way up. Steaks were $60-$70 and Prime Rib is $85.
Only 2 complaints. The host was wearing jeans and a tshirt, but told us over the phone it was business casual. And the food took a little long to come out. Building is beautiful, staff was so nice and joked with us. Food was to die for!!!! Little pricy but what isn't nowadays.
My mom’s birthday
Way too expensive - even for the big portions. Wait staff was good, but frenetic in their activity which took away from the ambiance.
Fantastic food! Our waiter John is absolutely the best!!
