The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.
Always a great experience! Our go to for celebrating and for a lovely night out.
We celebrated our Anniversary at Serafina. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. I have recommended this place to so many friends and will definitely return.
This is a classic Seattle restaurant that has been serving up delicious food for decades. Great for a date or a casual meal with a great glass of wine.
Fresh ingredients and nice preparation on our pork chop and fresh fish. Delicious charcuterie as an appetizer. Desserts were just okay after the very nice starters and main dishes. Nice wine selection and a solid wine recommendation from our very knowledgable server. I really like the ambiance here. We sat outside late in the season and it was charming and still pleasant with the heater, but the outdoor chairs are not very comfy.
Outstanding service as always. Daily fish special was perfectly prepared. Nice wine list and well prepared cocktails
One of the best restaurants in Seattle! If you’ve never been, go tonight. If it has been years, go again. Still excellent food, service and ambiance.
Perfect food- muscles, burrata, eggplant, gelato. Great service, wonderful wine pick from Saul. This place should always be a top pick for friends or a romantic dinner.
Fabulous! That’s why return again and again. It’s always a perfect night at Serafina!
The food was amazing and the wait staff was awesome. There was a a torrential downpour and we were eating outside. The staff got everyone resituated very quickly and smoothly.
We love sitting on their outdoor patio. Lovely ambiance, delicious food and great service. My favorite spot for lunch!
So happy Seraphina is open for lunch now. It is the perfect spot for a business lunch, catching up with an old friend or making a great first impression. The food is consistently great, the wine list superb and the wait staff is seasoned and very good. Never disappoints.
Everything was perfect about our dining experience. Our server Brian knew exactly what to recommend and was the perfect amount of attentive. It was a celebratory evening for 6 of us, and the staff made everything extra special. I can’t wait to come back soon.
Nice casual place for wonderful food. Patio a great place to sit. Service was excellent
Food was extremely salty throughout the meal. I have no problem spending the money, but expect a better experience.
Lovely patio, great service and food, and great time with family!
The service was very good, but the food was just ok. I enjoyed the pasta the most. The soup of the day was ghastly--a corn chowder with WAY TOO MUCH tumeric. Tasted medicinal and should be taken off the menu. I wish they had taken that dish off of our bill. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but the restaurant didn't do anything special for us. Dessert menu needs to be revised as well and they should be making their own gelato. Not sure I will be returning.
Cuisine is consistent and always memorable. The staff is fabulous and the wine variety is always excellent.
Fantastic service, a waiter who is a pro, and very attentive without being overbearing. Everything was wonderful for our 20th anniversary. Thank you!
This is a good restaurant where they make their own pasta, which is delicious. They have a full bar and a specialty cocktail each night. Ours was excellent. The only downside is the noise level, which is pretty intense. It's better to sit outside if you can and if you want to have a more intimate conversation. Good wine list, too.
An old staple in Seattle; went for lunch and they were not busy. attentiveness was good but maybe cause they weren't rushed. Food as always was fresh and prepared impeccably, but selection is getting old.
Great service!! Wait staff was fabulous, as was the food!!
We sat outside on the patio and it was perfect weather. Food was amazing as always along with the service. Will definitely be going back.
Delicious food, great enviroment, pleasant people. Couldn't ask for more
The waitress did not refill drinks. She was not attentive. One item that was ordered was ridiculously salty. When we discussed with the waitress she did not care and did nothing to improve the experience. The other four people at the table enjoyed their main course, but did have anything to drink with their meals due to the waitress never coming to refill drinks or check on us.
Great location for a romantic dinner or small group. A bit too noisy on this evening.
Food was excellent and presented well.
Love Serafina. Great food and ambiance. It’s always a good time when we come here.
We had a blast and delicious food and great service from Michelle with our get together for four birthdays!! Everyone loved their drinks, dinners, and desserts!
Highly recommend it for two or for a party of friends and family!
Save us a table though!!
I am sad to write a review that is not stellar for this place as it is a nostalgic place for us. We dined there recently on a Saturday night. We had a reservation, and even though there were lots of open tables, it took them 15 minutes to seat us. Once seated, we were not waited on for another 20 minutes. It was a special occasion for us, but after the first half hour of being there, it wasn't so special any more. I hope it was just an "off" night and this is not the norm.
This was a great place to catch up with old friends over good wine and great food.
Wonderful restaurant! Excellent staff, food, ambiance. A little noisy, but not to the point of hurting the evening.
-took an hour to get food to the table
-the salmon was super super small and should have gone with a pasta instead. way over priced for what you get. there were a few beans that were not even aldente and super tough.
One of Seattle's most romantic spots for a celebratory dinner or an evening with friends. The service and food is always excellent and interesting. It feels like 'home'.
Great food and great urban ambiance. Bartenders know what they are doing.
My husband and I usually love Serafina’s. We were celebrating our anniversary this visit. I just want to start by saying that our server was great but we were very disappointed with our experience otherwise. I am in the industry, so I’m generally very forgiving and I never usually send food back, but I just couldn’t let this slide for the amount of money we were spending. We got the mussels to start with and the bread basket. They were great, although we were never offered more bread, which would have been nice since we had a lot of sauce still from the mussels. Someone just swept by and cleared it before we could even ask for more. For the main course both my husband and I ordered the prime ribeye steak medium rare. I used to work at El Gaucho’s, a very high end steak house, so I know what a prime ribeye should look like. This was not that! Both steaks were mostly fat, however my husband’s steak was about 75% fat, while mine was maybe 40%. So I kept my steak, while we sent back his. They cooked him a new steak which came out much better, although a bit under medium rare, but he ate it anyway because he was tired of waiting. Meanwhile, I had already finished my steak while he waited for his. So it was a little annoying that we couldn’t eat together, especially since it was our anniversary. We then decided to share 2 desserts. One was some chocolate cake thing that was mediocre at best, and the other was some type of cheesecake I think, which was delicious. Then we got our bill which was around $225 (about $270 after tip). As a server myself, I was a bit shocked and annoyed that they didn’t at least take care of a dessert for us since we weren’t able to eat together and it was our anniversary. But whatever, we paid, tipped, and left. Approximately 1-2 hours later, my stomach wasn’t feeling well and I was sweating and I said something to my husband, and he was feeling the same way. We both were then violently ill for the rest of the night. We won’t be going back!
Serafina is one of Seattle's best restaurants!
Serafina is always a special place to meet friends and family. Their ambiance, food, service and "vibe" is just the very best. My family and I love it.
We always love going to Serafina's! Our favorite dish is the Cozze, the large plump muzzles in the most incredible broth ever!!!
Outstanding and consistent service and food selections.
We scored a table in the patio on a lovely summer night. It was off in a corner and we had all the privacy in the world. The food was great as usual and we had a lot of fun with our waiter. He recommended a wine that was delicious and we had never heard of it before. The whole evening was a treat.
Food was good. Service was NOT GOOD.
