We were excited to visit this restaurant based on the many positive reviews we had read, but unfortunately, our experience did not align with those expectations. To start, our waiter seemed unfamiliar with the happy hour menu and was unable to clearly explain what items were included. This immediately gave us some concerns about the level of service. For dinner, we ordered three Churrasco steaks along with several side dishes. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing across the board. The Churrasco steaks tasted as though they had been broiled first and then finished on the grill, lacking the flavor and texture we expected. They were also noticeably under-seasoned. The Gallo Pinto rice was hard and dry, almost as if it had been scraped from the bottom of the pan. The queso frito arrived barely warm, causing the cheese to be tough rather than crispy and enjoyable. Even the white rice had what appeared to be red pepper flakes or some other red seasoning mixed in, giving it an odd and unexpected flavor. To make matters worse, when our bill arrived, a 20% gratuity had already been added without any prior notice. I did not appreciate being surprised with an automatic tip and requested that it be adjusted to 18%. Regardless of the percentage, customers should be informed ahead of time when gratuities are automatically included. Overall, this visit fell well short of the expectations created by the restaurant's reviews. Between the lackluster service, disappointing food quality, and the surprise gratuity charge, our dining experience was far from what we had hoped for.

The service was good and the food was excellent. The happy hour menu had really good value. Will definitely go again.
