Lovely place that offers consistently well prepared meals partnered with great customer service

We first dined with our overseas visitors at sea salt one year ago and had such a great meal it was the first place they wanted to visit again this year. Everything was just as we remembered - outstanding food and wine, knowledgeable friendly, helpful manager who spent time with us. Great to see the very high standards have been maintained and improved upon with some new menu choices. We ordered double ortez anchovy fingers, ploughed our way through the amazing and generous tasting plates and drank exceptional wines. A fabulous and relaxed environment in a great beach setting. Will always recommend this as one of adelaide’s Finest offerings. Keep up the magic! We will be back...
was too expensive
was touted to be tapas style - but the taps was at "main's" prices.
had the price reflected the tapas portion size - then we might frequent the place.
Instead I'm left with another gouging experience where restaurants expect customers to sucker up and pay through the nose for very little - which is a trend within the Australian eating out scene.
for the restaurant prepared to break this business model - they would do very well. I for one won't be returning anytime soon - as it translated to nibbles and fish and chips for $86, which I'm less and less prepared to put up these days.
Pretty disappointed to be told that the kitchen wouldn’t swap chips out for a side salad and that I’d have to buy that in addition to the meal... so I paid $28 for grilled butterfish and then $8 or $9 for a salad on top of that. Location is lovely, just not quite service meeting the demand for anyone wanting a healthier dinner option. Wouldn’t be rushing back.
Food and Service was outstanding, a great little venue!
Overpriced for the portion sizes - taking the 'sangas' for an example... Given this dish is priced at over $20, you would at least expect to have a side of chips or something with it. The bread wasn't even toasted, and it wasn't super gourmet so just the sandwich alone was a let down. Fries cost next to nothing, so simply adding this, even to the salt & pepper squid dish would have made it more worth while. The only thing I would recommend is the Fish burger (at least this comes with a side of fries). Most likely wont return - the food didn't even touch the sides - left hungry still - very underwhelming.
Great location, good food and pleasant, efficient service.
I was disappointed with the selection of seafood. I would have liked to see oysters and SA whiting the menu. I was very disappointed that I only got 2 bbq’d prawns because they were beautifully cooked but I thought 2 prawns was very ‘stingy’ And expensive @ $13 per prawn!
Great place to soak up a sea view while enjoying the best seafood in Henley.
Will definitely be paying Sea Salt a few more visits!
Amazing seafood on share plates and so many dishes are really great. Loved the kingfish sashimi, anchovy soldiers of course, crunchy salt and pepper squid with a divine green chili dip but our agreed favorite is the Singapore chili fish wings with wild flavors. Thank you so much
It was our 11 year wedding anniversary. The first time we’ve ever celebrated it. Sea salt made it worth the wait. Food, wine, staff, sea views + vibe were amazing. Such a lovely evening. Thanks Guys! xxx
Great food & service. Highly recommend the anchovy dish, charcoal grilled squid and gincolada cocktail.
Food was good, but over priced for what is served. I would not rush back and they also charged a surcharge witch they never mentioned when booked.
A great spot to watch the sunset. Fresh look decor and friendly staff.
Fabulous food and glorious outlook. Don’t miss the anchovy soldiers and consider the Singapore fish wings for that Singapore flavour without the trickiness of crab- totally delicious 😋
Great food, great service.
Nice plates, not overly sized. Share plate kind of set up, but price point is high for the menu style and portions. Understandable for the location but with strong competition in the area, the food will need to remain on point. Loved the chicken sandwich fyi.
Beach-front location, fab food and friendly service - what’s not to love?!
The cold breeze coupled with air conditioning made me uncomfortable
It was a fabulous evening, great service & vibe , however quite expensive!
Fun lunch. Great service
Only complaint wine list does only had French champagne by half bottle. Expensive when ordering several!
Could address disability accessibility better. But had a great time with awesome food and service. Many thanks.
Great restaurant like being back in Greece ! easy spot to enjoy a tasty, uncomplicated menu. Wine list = good selection, try the chilled AIX Rose on a warm day or night . Loved the Pork Dim Sims with Fermented chilli... nice heat and a little different. Chilli Salt and Pepper Squid is recommended, And simple Fish and Chips with green chilli sauce and house wombat slaw is scrumptious..staff were friendly and efficient without being invasive...we dropped in for a late lunch to celebrate anniversary, had a slight hiccup with table booking but they rectified smoothly and without stress. Would recommend , this is our second visit and both were great. Bon Appetite
Food and drinks were excellent. Waitress was way too pushy with ordering drinks and food etc. and took away drinks before there were even finished. But overall the design and view was beautiful.
Food was tasty, albeit a bit expensive for ‘Fish and Chips’ . Service was excellent and it is in a great location, right next to the beach.
We had the such an awful time from the moment we sat down. The waiter was so rude.We didn't rate the food as being that great.Don't employ wait staff that don't won't to be there.I didn't even finish my cocktail and it was taken away as we said we were not ordering more drinks. The four of us that went to lunch are in the customer service industry, would not be telling clients to go.We were seated outside under shade, we had a couple that were older sitting near us and the elderly lady passed out near us hitting her head as she went down, one of the girls is a first aid person, she helped. The lady was the seated inside, the lady was ok but then passed out for second time, eyes rolled back and frothed at mouth. A waiter came along while she was lying down in the booth and asked if they were okay for food and drinks??!!! We waited around for ambulance and made sure elderly lady ok, we got a thanks from the couple, but even a recognition from the owners, no thanks that she helped. No will not comeback.
Great location, great vibe for dinner. Good for casual or occasion. Check the forecast before booking as very hot will be very hot and same with chill as limited inside seating.
Food was lovely. Decent portion sizes in relation to price. Food was served promptly after ordering. Service was good and personable - could be improved by the small attention to details, eg. refilling table water when empty, providing wine list when asked etc.. but hardly a deterrent to eating there.
As the menu varies due to seasonality, I'd definitely return to try new dishes. Lovely spot.
Wonderful place, perfect addition to Henley Square. Freshly shucked oysters, delicious seafood options and no dietary requests were too hard...
Looking forward to visiting again when in Adelaide!
amazing - would return and recommend to anyone
food was great and service was amazing
Great menu, great wine, great wine. We’ll be back!
Great sunset view, food was average which was disappointing, prawns were over cooked and unable to get out of the shell, friendly staff
Unfortunately half the menu was not avalible on the night we went. They had run out of fish and beer. Not good for a seafood restaurant. The salad I had was good. My friends was more of a bean mixture. Serving sizes were on the small size. Staff friendly enough.
Fantastic restaurant - great food, service and incredible, amazing views of beach!
Had s great meal then finished with nightcap in roof top bar. Great night
Our last visit was Sunday on the long weekend, beautiful weather, the restaurant was packed, but the staff were unfailingly courteous and alert to our needs, while the food was, as usual interesting and delicious, so much more than a fish and chipper! Thanks, everyone, for a lovely afternoon 😊
I enjoyed the food but was taken back when the bill came and saw the taster platter was $75 pp. when ordering after recommendation from waiter didn’t think of asking a price (my bad lesson learnt) but waiter did not mention price. Food was nice but not value for money. Would not have done taster platter if I knew the price.
Really disappointing - completely overpriced and the food was really poor. My kingfish salad was a plate of cos lettuce with some shredded pieces of fish in it. The chilli fish wings had reasonable flavour but was a poor size and presentation for what I paid. Service not attentive either, and the drinks list was disappointing. Would absolutely not recommend and am really disappointed because the location is fabulous.
