In 2012, Sean Connolly opened the hugely successful New York style restaurant and oyster bar, The Morrison, in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Now, with a home-cooking product range to his name, a dedicated website and restaurant consulting arm of his brand, his attention has turned to Adelaide and Sean’s Kitchen. With a focus on showcasing the outstanding local produce, this multi-million dollar restaurant in Adelaide Casino is the culmination of the extensive expertise that Sean has earned to date, and is a highly personal project. The high-end New York brasserie located in the historic building of Adelaide Casino will focus on simple and honest food, paired with an extensive wine and cocktail menu in a luxury setting, but with an emphasis on casual dining. With two private dining rooms and a museum of ham, the restaurant will reflect the dynamic sophistication of a food-oriented city. Despite booking through this online booking platform and receiving a confirmation email, they had no record of my booking when we arrived. Said they would 'comp'our desserts but when it came time to order them, changed it to only 2 of the 4 people at the table would get free desserts. Had to chase down our drinks order, the waitress spoke very poor English and had no idea of the drinks or food menus (we had to point things out to her on the menu) and for 4 mains and a bottle of wine we paid $340. This included bread and water, it must be noted ($14 for a few slices of bread). The food was good but not worth the poor service and 6 items were unavailable from the menu as they had run out. Only the $65 steaks were left...at a steak house.

We hadn't been for a while and thoroughly enjoyed our return visit. Reservation was exact, table as we prefer. Staff very welcoming and professional.The food, is next level, we enjoyed the salty butter with bread, my husband drooled over a Crab Leg as I did with the Salmon Gravlax. My husband ordered the Rabbit Pie, having grown up eating it, he was astounded at the magnificence of this version, he says he has never had a rabbit dish like it, outstanding. Well done and thanks!

We would say that our experience was disappointing and we would not go again. We get much better service at local restaurants. It was a birthday meal but felt unspecial and not at all memorable.

staff where friendly and our waitress was really lovely and helpful.
Food was delicious and arrived at our table piping hot...great!!
I feel it was somewhat overpriced but happy hour was a nice surprise.
We enjoyed our first visit.

From the moment I walked into the door and was greeted by the friendly staff, right through to the table service and AMAZING food, the entire experience was fabulous.

One of the best meals on my trip to Adelaide.

Sorry but Seans kitchen is over rated, it was loud, with loud music been played. Food was ok, but not what I expected or paid for, we wont be going back as most pub meals are on the same level as this place.

Dinner dining. Customer service was excellent. Staff were attentive without being intrusive.
The food was excellent! My wife loved the popcorn cauliflower and I thought (sides) grandma's carrots and mac'n cheese were excellent. Our mains were also excellent. Best fish I have had anywhere!

Bloody Mary was amazing!! Food was good and served in big portions. Service could have been a little more attentive when first arriving (it took a while to place our first orders and we were hungry), but afterwards we were very looked after!! Would go back and would definitely recommend!

My friends and I came here on Monday night dinner. We were seated by 7.00 pm and had ordered by 7.10 pm. The drinks and entrees arrived promptly at 7.30 pm and then the mains took until 8.40 pm to arrive. The service staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. We had ordered the barramundi, the rib eye steak and the 1.5 kg BBQ short rib which were all delicious.

However we couldn't understand why it would have taken an hour for these menu items to come out. It was only a Monday night, not a Saturday night yet the food took forever to come out. Also the restaurant was not at full capacity. The manager came to our table and explained the reasoned for the long wait was that the rib eye steak had to be done again, (my friend ordered a rare steak). I still think that excuse was a cop out. Because of the delays, the manager gave us free desserts to make up for the kitchen mess.

All I can say is the food was good but waiting an hour for mains is one hour too long.

Careful when booking online. Bring you confirmation email/txt with you. Mine was missing, and they found it had wrongly been recorded as next week. They were nice enough to acknowledge the system has d a problem, Meals were good.

Unfortunately we had chosen the seafood platter and it was unavailable. There were also other items on the menu that were not available.
Our meals didn't come out together with one of our diners waiting nearly 10 minutes after the others to receive her meal.
Service was attentive and pleasant.

Food, exceptional quality and flavour. Duck fat chips a bit disappointing, no crunch but the Bloody Mary ketchup was excellent. Found the music distracting with too much diversity but the staff were enjoying it which was nice to see.

Dined in on a Wednesday night. Ambiance and customer service were excellent. Choice and combination of food ingredients was brilliant. My family and I enjoyed the striploin, duck fat chips and linguine. However, the gnocchi was too salty and the fresh oysters were too small. Desserts (Lemon Macaroons and Cherry Sorbet) were a letdown as we expected them to be finer.

The food and service at Sean's Kitchen was outstanding. Sean's Kitchen makes the best risotto in Adelaide hands down!! Will come back to eat there again and again . Duck fat cooked chips are yum!! and the parmesan coleslaw delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of the food.

Great staff, always happy to assist (the menu needing some explaining as to what was a starter/entrée) but never felt like they were hovering; delicious food with lots of choices (I took awhile to make up my mind);just had a really good dining experience
