Drinks were expensive. No bread served unless we asked. Hard to find on GPS
Had brunch here , the food is very good, service is impeccable and view is great. Nice place for brunch and dinner.
My fiancé and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary at Savona. Food and service was wonderful. Our reservation was for 8pm, inside and due to covid restrictions they were unable to serve alcohol past 5pm which was no problem at all. With that we were out of the restaurant by 9-9:15. Everything was amazing but we could clearly hear Eminem/Kendrick Lamar blaring from the kitchen from when our food was served to when we were walking out the door. As much as I normally like to listen to them both, I was looking for something a tad more romantic on this occasion.
It was nice venue. The air was hot though. Glad the guys were wearing shirt sleeve shirts.
Server was very attentive. Food was oksy
The nicest outdoor dining in town! Warm, spacious and welcoming
Excellent experience with great food, service & ambiance. They have taken every precaution for safety of their staff& customers.
We were disappointed that they didn’t serve bread during their lunch.
Always makes us happy.
It was my birthday and I had an amazing time, the food came out in about 5 min. Sebastian was my waiter and he was really friendly.
Just the best food and service!
First time. The food was fantastic. Great selection. And we felt super safe as they have implemented all safety precautions.
Great food and service. nice outdoor spacing between tables
Bronzino was just ok..a bit overdone, the side of sautéed spinach was awful as it had no taste, no flavoring & soggy. The bread was not fresh ~ tasted stale.
Very disappointed in this birthday dinner.
Service was just ok but not taking away due to the servers having to go such a distance being that we were in the tent not the restaurant.
I’ve come to Savona a handful of times and always had a great meal but we were both very disappointed this time. The casasecce pasta lacked flavor it could have used a heavier sauce and the sole special was outrageously priced - a small piece of fish with some chopped up vegetables - no side salad, no carb side and it was $55!! It was honestly just way overpriced.
Food was excellent. Social distancing of tables the very best.
Birthday celebration. Great time
Overall fantastic! Cocktails outstanding (best lemon drop ever and amazing Manhattan). The food was mostly excellent but a couple of items were burnt and they offered to replace them; it comes back to the kitchen which had some serious issues last night. Our waiter, Sébastien, was perfection ( must have been trained in his native France). The only drawback was the noise from the kitchen (loud people and things).
Very elegant. Well prepared food and presentation. Great atmosphere.
Absolutely excellent! Drinks superb, had artichokes then a nice brisket pasta dish. Impeccable service. I’ve been attending this restaurant since the late 90s and love it each and every time!
Enjoyed our dinner
Quiet, clean and everyone very polite
we were at Savona to dine outdoors last night with another couple. We all enjoyed our apps, salads and entrees, delish! my friend and i shared a bottle of chianti. It was $67. it was good. i took out my Vivino app and scanned it and the average price is $12.99. I find that kind of markup despicable.
everything was amazing as usual! Can't wait to go back.
I made the reservation a week out for a special occasion. I was told that seating would be outside but it was covered and heated.
While the space was covered and nicely adorned it was very cold. More heaters would have been helpful.
Food was excellent. Service was excellent.
I would have selected another restaurant had I known that it would not be comfortable.
Went for a birthday dinner with the family and sat outside in the tent. The setup in the tent was wonderful. The walls were down but there were openings to let outside air in and out as well as pumping heat into the interior so we didn’t freeze from the drop in temp. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and our main server was fantastic. No one specifically said it was my birthday to him, but he must have been listening to us chat at the table. When dessert came out they had placed a candle in the cake and written happy birthday in chocolate on the plate. This was our first time at Savona and it will not be our last
Great service, great food. Wonderful time, will definitely return.
Savona has been our "go to" spot since the pandemic. Before restaurants opened we did delivery every Friday, it's now our date night spot. We feel safe, the food is always great, service is impeccable!!
I took my girlfriend for her bday, first and most importantly all staff and guests were following COVID protocols which was important to me. I had the braised short rib and my girlfriend the halibut that was on special. The short rib was easily one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly done as was the spinach. My girlfriend halibut was a nice portion, again done perfectly, flakey and smooth. She loved and I both loved it. As for the drinks they are well prepared and they definitely put alcohol in them. All in all I’d go back, it ran me $110 for meal, salad and two drinks so I wouldn’t say pricey and service and food was worth it.
I was very disappointed with our experience. I had branzino over stewed tomatoes and it was pretty tasteless and very overpriced. I felt sorry for the waiter since he was the only one servicing the entire tent. I think he might have been the maitre d. I live around the corner from Savona and we have had 2 bad experiences now.
FANTASTIC! Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back!
Being outside in a tent, the temperature was comfortable, they had a heating device. Service was very expedite, considering the extra distance for the servers. Food was close to top, but for the lamb special too rear.
Delicious food! Super attentive and friendly staff. First time there and can't wait to go back again!
We sat in the outside tent at Savona on a Friday night . There was a lot of space between tables , but the noise level was a little loud due to acoustics of the tent (and all tables were being used). The food was solid but not excellent (appetizers: clams very good; artichokes ok. Dinner: Bolognese very good; scallops average - too salty). The sommelier-in-training was helpful and we had a great bottle of Italian wine. The service was okay but not great ( we asked to see dessert menu and he brought us the check - so we paid and left!) . Overall we would go back, but I would not expect the same high-quality level as under normal non-COVID conditions.
The risotto was runny and bland. And every time we asked for our drinks it seemed we were bothering the staff. While it wasn’t a terrible experience, this place is definitely overrated.
All the dishes were great except the seafood plate. The oysters were not so fresh.
Wonderful the special was exceptional great! My partner and I have dined many places and this place is a secure gem!!! Loved everything will be back for sure!
Great food and service. Very safety oriented. Will revisit!
Food was good not special. Pizza in particular was below average, the crust looked like pre prepare store bought. Not as good as it should be. The yelling coming out of the kitchen was distracting and not acceptable for that type of restaurant. Need to run the kitchen without sharing everything with the diners. Service was excellent.
