The food is inspired by the chef's personal journey and North African heritage. The menu changes seasonally and according to what’s fresh on the market daily.
The food was below average and very expensive for the quality. We were expecting a lot more from a Middle Eastern restaurant. Some dishes were bland and some very salty. Overall very disappointed no one in our group liked their food. The only tasty bit was the pita bread and yogurt.
Very good. Sat upstairs so had to go looking for staff at one point but otherwise excellent
Excellent food but very slow service
Wholesome, homely, rich and comforting fare. Very tasty. Decent wine, good value, friendly service.
Really lovely atmosphere, and delicious tase food- all served by really friendly staff- thank you!
A real gem in the middle of Clerkenwell. A refreshingly modern take on Middle Eastern cuisine with a large array of meat-based and vegetarian dishes. Highly recommend the burnt aubergine, chicken pargit and also the the lentil & kale stew.
Great experience, fantastic food and very attentive service... I will be back.
Great vegetarian options for a cosy night. Service was good, didn't feel rushed at all and we were able to enjoy a relaxed night out. Food is yummy, especially the burnt aubergine!! Got a discount offer but would be happy to go back and pay full price!
Excellent food, very authentic and utterly delicious. Lovely interior and really friendly team.
If you have any allergies or intolerances then this is not the place for you. Anything complicated will get you into trouble. The food we ordered and the food we received was very different. We got the wrong starter and 2 of the other starters just never showed up. One of the mains came out 10 mins after everyone else and it was a constant battle to get service for drinks and food. The food and wine was delicious but not worth it for the service received. Shame
As this is meant to be a middle eastern style restaurant we were expecting some big flavours and good sized sharing portions....we were dissapointed and the only thing that made it bearable was that we had a offer for 50% off food. The menu seemed very confused with chicken schnitzel and mashed potato aswell as beef bourguignon with pitta bread! The flavours were ok but not mind blowing and the prices are too high and portions too small for what should be a sharing menu.
While some of the food was excellent, it lacked the wow factor that other Middle Eastern or Israeli restaurants have.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, lovely staff. Highly recommended.
Middle Eastern cuisine with affordable prices.
Homemade Lebanese lemonade had a twist on the usual.
The dishes were delicious, particularly the lamb arayes and hummus.
The only one that didn't seem worth it was the chicken pagit, which was flat and dry (but reasonable taste).
Very nice meal.
Another great addition to the 'Tel Aviv' food in London. Lamb, fish, chicken, aubergine and the fried cauliflower stood out - as good as those can get. The Labaneh was underwhelming and so was the masabecha - sadly. Desserts should step up the game. Chocolate Mousse? Pana Cota? Bring on the Malabi and the Knafeh!
