They were very friendly and helpful! We had a two year old with us and they were very understanding. Food was fresh and delicious
was at the table in front of the entrance door and 1) too many waiters passing by 2) could feel cold every time the door would open
not the best experience to be fair
food is magnificent
Food was outstanding. One of the best meals we’ve had in a while. The only thing that we particularly didn’t like was the table we were sitting at. It was placed right in between the entrance and the till, waiters kept passing by us really closely. The entrance door kept opening every 2 minutes, so it was pretty cold, people in the outwear kept hugging and kissing right behind my back, it was quite disturbing. I have no idea why someone decided that one more table could fit in their, but nonetheless, it did. It was really annoying, if not for that, our evening would be much more pleasant. I strongly recommend the managers to remove this table, seems to be just a way to make some extra money. The restaurant of that standard (with spectacular food, service and atmosphere) should never do things like that.
Apart from that, the best dinner I’ve had in a long time. Every single meal was literally outstanding.
Beautiful seafood, loveliest service, great wine list
Horrible service! We got kicked out before even finishing our mains and wine! The waiters were awful and wouldn’t make the pasta dishes vegetarian
Great restaurant with fresh seafood. Would definitely go back.
Outstanding fresh seafood, very well prepared. Not cheap, but the quality supports the prices.
Totally delicious Italian seafood. Attentive waiters (but not too much). A real treat .
food was amazing, so was the service. Im pretty sure that this extremly fresh and tender octopus is the best in london.
Had a lovely evening. Food was amazing, service was incredible, vibe was perfect
Delicious fresh fish imported daily from Italy and a very good experience overall.
Excellent food and service. Great wine list too!
Quite simply one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. An absolute delight!
Rafael is always excetional with service. He always takes great care of us.
Great food & services. Music selection is also fantastic and at the right volume. Slightly on expensive side but portion is generous. Highly recommended
It’s a difficult time for restaurants with Covid-19 and we are trying to be supportive. However, honest and fair reviews are important. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was ok but certainly not exceptional. However, the prices were exceptional! They had also all been increased by around 10% from the online menu. For example £42 for a mixed fish grill comprising a single langoustine, red fish, tuna and squid, with a few salad leaves is too much. Prices were higher than in the three Michelin restaurants visited recently and the quality was no where near as good.
We had the dish of the day which was full of bones and fish tail
3 small beers, two glasses of wine, one starter and 2 main courses plus two side dishes for 270 pounds.....and then we were hurried out as the table was booked again
Lovely evening out and great ambience. Whole family enjoyed immensely. The sea bream picked out was amazingly cooked. Sea bass balls were delicious. Great service with interesting information provided by waiter on the dishes and seafood on offer. The homemade pistachio ice cream was the best I’ve ever had - a must try if you visit!Covid measures were observed with hand sanitizer on entrance and waiters with masks. All round a great evening and experience.
Fabulous, fresh seafood. Great service, a must for fish lovers
What a find! Amazing food and wine. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. It was such a special meal.
This was my fourth time at the Santo Mare. It remains spectacular. Attentive service in the right measure. Among the best seafood in London: without a doubt. Try the Langoustine Carpaccio for starters and Tagliatelle with lobster as a main dish. There is no mistake. In the photo: Gnocchi with shrimp. We took delicious Primitivo 2018 from Masseria Cuturi. Fantastic gastronomic experience.
Great place for discreet business lunch or romantic dinner. Try sea bass carpaccio or tuna steak with Antinori
We loved the atmosphere , the elegant decor and the background Italian jazzy tunes from the 50s. The staff was very welcoming and attentive.
The red prawns carpaccio was good but served pretty warm, the artichoke salad had shaved parmesan which was very dry unfortunately but when the parmesan is dry it changes colour and shape and one can notice it easily so I am a bit perplexed on how the chef or the waiter hadn’t spotted it before serving the dish.
The fettuccine with Scampi though were simply amazing
and the sparkling wine was really perfect for the seafood.
Overall pricey for one out of three good dishes. I would go back if they improved the starters.
Fav Italian in town
Amazing I loved it definitely coming again
The staff were very helpful however not totally competent .. we were two so it didn’t have a major impact on our evening .. for a table of eight it might have been a challenge 😉
Absolutely amazing food, really good service. Such enjoyable experience! Highly recommend! Will come again
Always a family favorite - has a table outside, staff all wore masks - service was friendly and food was terrific
Amazing service n food loved it
Waiter complained to another waiter to rearrange my food 3 times to make sure I was happy
The food was disappointing. Surprising poor quality of food.
Delicous but sadly very quiet but i would highly recommend to others
Good food and excellent selection of Italian wines
My favourite Italian seafood restaurant in London! The food is fresh and just so good! Always get excellent service. Nice local restaurant relaxing, it's a hidden gem.
Great products, good wines. Added to my fav in London
It has been an amazing experience! One of the best places to eat raw fish in London!
Uncomfortable, rushed and expensive experience.
Before we had even sat down, a waitress was asking us if we wanted still or sparkling water. We were being persuaded to try the fresh fish option, but as the pricing was unclear as to how much it would be, we choose from the menu. The sea bass balls were bland and the broccoli and prawn dish was disproportionately large for a starter. The langoustine linguine was tasteless with a very small amount of langoustine, the plate was cleared without asking why we had only eaten 1/3 of it. My seared tuna was not hot and served on a cold plate. I asked for it to be warmed up and it came back 2 mins later with very little change. We felt rushed and a wine glass was cleared from our table whilst it still had Prosecco in. The ladies toilets were filthy. However, the chairs were comfortable and the ambience was good, but not worth the £192 we paid for a 2 course non impressive meal.
Memorable evening, excellent experience thank you.
excellent on all counts! ❤️❤️❤️🥂
The oysters were absolutely delicious and perhaps the best we’ve had (£6 each) but we didn’t think the spaghetti vongole was that good at all, especially for the price. The cheapest bottle of wine was £40 and the service overall a bit slow. We would have expected something a little more special for these prices.
Excellent restaurant, good menu and a lovely ambience
