It was one of the best experiences my friends and I have had. The food was outstanding and so was the service. Cute spot, will come back and recommend a 100%.
Our waiter was fantastic! The Paella was amazing, full of flavor!
Comfortable, cozy, great food, reasonable prices, staff was very courteous and accommodating
We were about 10 minutes early for our reservation and they sat us immediately. Our wait staff was very friendly, attentive and answered all of our questions about dishes/portions with enthusiasm and suggestions. Our food was fabulous - tapas portions were fantastic and it was wonderful to be able to get the sangria by various sized pitchers. We will definitely be returning to Sangria 46!
Absolutely enjoyed dinner and the service. Looking forward to introducing Sangria 46 to another group of friends in a few weeks!!
Go! And Enjoy!!!
Ordered 2 main dishes and 6 tapas for 6 ppl. It was a ton of food. The tapas ranged from bit size to appetizer size. Food was awesome by the time the paella came we were almost full and the paella was great. We couldn't finish and brought home paella.
Sangria 46 is just one of many choices on the block. It is easy to miss but well worth finding. The room is cozy and quaint. The service is friendly and efficient. The paella is recommended but skip the lobster it is too much work and not necessary.
Mango sangria and paella were excellent!
Difficult to rate noise level since we were there for an early lunch prior to Broadway Matinee. Everything else was exceptional especially for the Theater District where many restaurants are convenient but not necessarily great. Certainly not the case with Sangria 46. Friendly attentive service with many wonderful tapas, and of course, Sangria. A wise pre-theater choice.
Arrived for our reservation - told we could sit in the front, at a tiny table across from the bar, or in the dismal and deserted, humid and buggy, backyard, with the noisy air conditioning condenser. We left.
First time visiting but not last. We order the red sangria and better than some places in Spain as well as tapas. The eggplant with goat cheese is to die for along with Spanish omelet. Please order for $4 some Spanish olives omg delicious. We share the paella valenciana and have to say better than one we had in Valencia Spain. This is an awesome restaurant. Thank you Bryan and Linda formaking our first visit so great
Food was just mediocre. Cappuccino was awful. Waiter was very nice.
Sangria 46 is a gem, ateps from broadway but true to the tapas experience: engaging but not frenetic energy. If you are lucky the outdoor seating in the back will be open. Enjoy many refreshing sangria flavors along with nice twists and traditional tapas dishes. On this visit also the spice-rubbed salmon special waa perfect. Perfect for pre-theater, share every bite and enjoy!
Had an excellent evening at sangria 46. Carlos and staff made our bar-side dinner memorable and entertaining. The octopus appetizer was fantastic, the mango-strawberry sangrias delicious, and the main entrees plentiful. We will be back again and again to be entertained by Caros.
Only had tapas. Next time would try entree
Too noisy! Too hot! Good food great sangria!
My daughter and I had a great selection of tapas and fantastic service!!!
pretty good. food was decent, sangria was decent. needed a spot that wasnt too loud
I had been here a few other times (5). For a Sunday at 6PM I felt rushed, tables were tightly placed together. we had to move once because the people next to us kept messing with their hair! I asked waitress to pace the meal, and our main course was on the table before we were done with appetizer! Mentioned it to her and the comment was there was nothing she could do because the cooks were pushing out the food! that's unacceptable. Not sure I will be going their again even though their sangria is still one of the best.
Food was good, decor is cute and waitress was very pleasant. Peach sangria was delicious!
Overall the meal was good. However, we ordered our meal before many of the people around us only to be the last one's served. Some of the tables actually paid and left before we were served. Neither of our meals should have take that long to cook.
The food flavor is just OK. Tapas portion sizes are on the low end. It was my birthday and they charged for the celebratory dessert, found it odd. The service and ambiance are great.
Everything was great. The only thing I'd add is that it was a very muggy day and the doors to the garden were open which I think helped some of the cooler air escape outside. Could have been a little cooler in the restaurant. But I love Sangria 46, a fave spot of mine in Hell's Kitchen that I always come back to!
We had the best waiter we have ever had EVER, period! He made the dinner special and fun and everything was delicious!!! He also surprised the birthday girl with some flan and a delicious shot! Thank you!!!!
We go there all the time as it’s in our block. However, this time around we were VERY DISAPPOINTED. We usually get tapas & on this particular night we decided to order a paella, which on the menu says it takes 30 mins to prepare. We ordered tapas to start with some Sangria. After a long wait, we were told our paella was served to another table! So, so disappointing! After being in the service industry for over 20 years I was shocked that a manager wouldn’t show face to apologize. There were less than 10 tables being served at the time, so being “slammed” was not an issue. My husband will NEVER go back.
Excellent food and particularly lovely to have dinner in the garden.
It was a beautiful day, so asked to sit in the garden. The waiter warned us that little buds were dropping from the trees, but we opted to sit there anyway and pick the buds off our food, it was such a nice setting! The service was perfect, the sangria was delicious and the highlights from the menu were clams casino, bacon-wrapped dates, chicken empanadas and the tres leches cake. The only disappointment was the calamari and it wasn't bad, just kind of bland. Got done in plenty of time for our matinee performance. Great choice for a pre-theater meal!
The sangria was awesome..
Third time I've been to this restaurant with friends. We're working our way through the menu.
Excellent food and service. Great servers. A fun place for us. We go every chance we get. The atmosphere is very nice.
Food Drinks and Service all top notch
This is my second time at Sangria 46. The food was still pretty good, my favorite was the Chicken Empenada. I found it difficult to talk to my friend over the live music they had that night. Since the restaurant was mostly empty there really wasn't a need for them to use the speaker system and it was a more enjoyable experience when they stopped using speakers to amplify the sound. Also, at one point one of the managers was slightly rude to my friend who arrived after me. I was seated at our table waiting for her to come and when she came in and attempted to sit with me he asked her if she was supposed to be there and if she had a reservation. I found this to be odd since we greeted each other and she was coming to sit with me. It was clear we were together and furthermore I had already confirmed my reservation and been seated by the hostess.
This is my third time here and it is always great quality food with great Sangria. Since it is in the Theater District they do a great job of getting you in and out yet without feeling rushed.
This is one of our top go to places! Service is excellent. fantastic menu and the sangria!! Love Sangria 46!
Excellent food, good service!
The restaurant looks fairly worn down. We were seated and given water (no ice) but that was the fastest we got anything. We had 5:30 reservations for a 7 pm show and ordered off the prix fixe menu. The food was...fine, barely. Our service, however, was abysmal. Never got water refills, had to request everything, including more drinks, dessert and our check after an hour and 15 minutes. The apple pie tasted like it had freezer burn. Our server had no more than 3 tables and stood talking to other staff while we sat with no water, no dessert, no check. She didn’t even bring us our food - someone else did. I have been a server and I’m pretty forgiving of service, but this made me angry. I was angry that it had good reviews when the food was a 3 or 4 out of 10 at best, angry that the service was horrible and angry that we got to our show with only 2 minutes to spare. We would’ve been better grabbing a sandwich at a street deli.
Amazing place,food great,lovely waitresses,the owner made it,
Lovely night, couldn’t do enough for us,
Would definitely come back,
Outstanding food and service (especially the gentlemen with the great voice). Value was so good that I thought they forgot to charge me for things when I got the check. Try to go on a nice day, so you can sit in the garden. The spicy sausages in red wine are a must. A great pre theater place!
Great food, nice service!
